Rick is not a man of his word. Sets up appointments to purchase an item, sells it to someone else. I have all the texts to prove it. I'd do biz with someone else who is more reputable
I had a cargo trailer stolen in Bristol VA and Rick wrecker service had towed it to their lot due to it being abandoned in JC the door had been broken into and Rick secured the door so my belongings safe nothing was missing he ran the VIn # and contacted the police THANK YOU SO MUCH glad it see there are still honest folks still around
Before towing my car he checked to see if the problem was something he could fix. He identified the problem and assisted me in finding a part to fix the car rather than taking it to a shop. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Great service!!
Completely unbelievably rude and towed our vehicle illegally, cussed us out. we have never had this type of treatment. They should not even be in business! DO NOT USE!

I understand that this is your job and I’m sure you have to deal with some pretty hard situations and people. However, I was polite. I didn’t cuss, I didn’t get angry, I just asked a few questions. And I was ignored. Until I asked how much it would be and that’s when someone finally said $100 right now or $200 tomorrow. I don’t carry $100 dollars in cash on me. I offered card and check but both were rejected. I understand it’s my fault. Honestly, I thought that I was following the rules... and I got to you before you even had started to hook up the car. I just felt like I was treated very rudely and very unprofessional. Being ignored is never a good feeling.
They are a total rip off don't park close to or anywhere near the waffle house in Elizabethton manager will have your car towed by these guys...not even in waffle house parking lot ...the dentist next parking no though way.....parking fee for 10 days while out of town was $720..... A true scam......it is clear he had family members who give him a 5 but he needs a zero but Google will not let you give a zero....
I paid 45 bucks, was assisted within 30 minutes by a lovely friendly lady, who worked very hard and efficiently. Then, she drove me and my crapshoot of a vehicle to my home. Very professional very personable very good service. This will be my go to in the event I need a tow going forward. Thank you for your help and hard work.
The lady recovery driver (Mrs. J. Morley) drove out to me when my vehicle was completely disabled off the Exit 24 Ramp in J.C..... They responded in an hour; hooked me up on their roll-back , and drove me all the way back to Burnsville, NC. They were one of the very few local companies who were willing to cross state lines and get me not only back to the dealership; but also to my home. If I ever need a tow in the Johnson City area, they will get my business.
If you think your going to park somewhere you didn’t pay to park in Johnson city, it will be 190 bucks in cash and you’ll wait on rick’s schedule to get your car back. Be warned learn from my financial pain
I have no idea why everyone is complaining. I read the reviews and was scared to call. But i did. The guy on the phone was so nice and up front about prices. And when the driver came to get it, he was extrememly nice. So idk what everyone elses problem is, but i give 5 stars and will call them again if i need to. Extremely nice ppl.
They came and rescued me after my car broke down in Morristown! They got to me as fast as they could and he service was excellent!! I would highly recommend!

Towed a friends car for not parking in the visitor section that was completely full. Her car wasnt even outside for an hour before they took it and when we went to pick it up they charged 190 for it. Insane price. I feel bad for anyone who has to deal with them.
Towed my vehicle, when he shouldn't have! !cost 100$,and a bent exhaust pipe, when it was towed away from my home at 3 am in the morning. ..beyond upset with this company! !..he said that he would give me back my money if I can find out who took the parking permit tag off of my vehicle. ..and neighbors say that they watched him take it off the window of my work van and laugh as he hooked up to the wrecker truck! !.....scandalous way to run a business if you ask me! !

She was unable to park in the visitor's parking lot because it was full. I get it, it's their job to tow cars. However, they told her that she could pay the $190 tab with a check, but when we got there, they said they only take cash.
These kind men told two girls to walk to the gas station down the road around 11:30 at night to get cash from the ATM. Ridiculously enough, we did. To our surprise, when we got back, after being harassed twice and followed into said gas station, the two were gone! I called their phone number to ask if they had left, and, of course, they did. The man, Rick I believe, told me that they had to get other cars and that I was "holding them up by calling them."
Furthermore, when the two returned, the secondary employee asked me to back my car up, which I was going to do. However, before I could even put my car in reverse, Rick had thrown his wrecker into reverse and came very close to hitting my car.
The entire experience was completely unprofessional and the employees were very rude.
Called them to take a wreck off my hands that my son stripped for parts. They were courteous, expedient, & neat. I read many negative reviews here, mostly from people who are upset they were towed for being parked where they shouldn't ...HEY THAT'S THEIR JOB, If you don't want to get towed park where you're supposed to! I highly recommend them for towing, & I WILL use them again!
This place is ran by an ex convict who did 18 years in prison and apparently continues criminal behavior. He doesn't take I.d. when people come for their vehicles and picks and chooses when he gives receipts. He very recently smashed into his ex wife's car in an apartment complex he has a towing contract with. He has punched people who have come for their vehicles. He is a crook.
DO NOT USE RICK'S WRECKER service!! They are very rude, unprofessional, and their prices are ridiculous!! My son a high school student had parked in a parking spot of a local restaurant to run in and pick up his food to go. When he came out they was towing his car. He was only in the restaurant a few minutes. He wanted to get his ball uniform out of the car because he had a game. They put their hands on my child, cussed him and told him he could not get in his car unless he paid them $100. Obviously he was not walking around with $100. My son was left stranded at the restaurant until my husband could get there. When they went to get is car they then charged them $190 to pick it up. This all happened in less than 30 minutes. ( from the time my son walked into the restaurant to get his food from the time he picked it up at their location) when my husband ask about them putting their hands on my son of course they said they did not but said they had a video which they chose to answer their phone and not show them the whole video. The part they showed never showed my son or the worker, they turn the video off before that part. Which was a clear sign of guilt. I will be contacting the local stores in the area with cameras to view for my self. This business needs to be shut down.
My great aunt is 82 years old and has a 70 year old gentleman that comes and takes care of her to prevent her from being in a nursing home. This caretaker knows to park in the visitors parking area. The caretaker was staying overnight during the weekend due to the snow/bad weather. Rick's wrecker service towed his vehicle from the visitor parking area. This was at a low income apartment complex in Kingsport off of Bloomingdale Road. Ricks wrecker service makes regular rounds there. He is making a killing preying on these low income resident's charging them $160 tow fee then $30 a day store/lot fee. According to the resident's there that night 4 cars got hauled off and the next night Rick's wrecker service hauled off four more vehicles. Some of the resident's do not have a vehicle to drive to Johnson City or don't have the money to get their vehicles back.
THIEF IN THE NIGHT !!!!!!! BLOOMINGDALE APARTMENTS strikes again he towed my mothers caretakers car parked in the visitor parking to long. The caretaker stays with my mother when she's not doing real good she's 82 years old her caretaker is around 70 years old and he knows the parking rule. My mother has a car that the caretaker drive some so when the weather is like it was this weekend he stayed at my mothers apartment and they don't get out after dark so when you decided to tow his car for being parked to long in the visitor parking did you check to see why this car that had all the tires up on it and tag up to date has been parked to long in the VISITOR PARKING? hell you drove from J.C. you couldn't go back without a tow theres no money in that right. These apartment complexes are low income apartments and you are charging $160.00 for towing a car that was parked in the right space.
This towing company illegally towed a car of a special needs home. They cursed the house manager and were extremely rude about the whole situation. After lying repeatedly, the man was rude to the point that the house manager did not feel safe going to the locatio on without having police support. This was an extremely stressful situation for the clients and the house in general. This company is not special needs friendly or at all compassionate.
horrible. Loves to scam college students, hence why he is partnered with Monarch and other student facilities. Also, he's never at his business when you're ready to pay his ridiculous price. I hope your Taco Bell was wonderful.

Very Rude. Unprofessional work ethic. Would NEVER use them again for any reason. All the good reviews below are lies and are obviously them trying to fool the public. Beware!!!! Rick also hits on male customers in hope of oral supposedly for a discount. Not even a shadow of a one star rating!
