Tried reaching out by email to see what was requires to sell catalytic converter I obtained while working at a very reputable automotive repair facility. Never received a reply. So I brought credentials that their website said would work. Turns out being a licensed mechanic was not what they meant. I drove a long distance to try and sell these and it was a waste of time. The manager was rude and did not try to help me at all. Would not recommend anyone go to this place. They need your fingerprint, license, and tag number in order to sell anything, even beer cans. There are definitely better options.
1 guy was hateful. Never goin back. Thanks to that particular guy. The junkyard warrior, somebody's gonna mess him up one day because he deserves it. I hope they put him in the ground They aren't honest either, they're to expensive on anything they sell and they're the biggest rip off to anybody selling metal. Never go there
I recycle scrap rather infrequently, so I didn't realize how well the system at Davis worked. After a recent experience elsewhere, I felt the need to compliment Davis on their customer service. They have their employees unload your scrap, they seem conscientious about sorting into the various categories, the process is quick and efficient, I only occasionally leave with a few unacceptable items. (In contrast the other place has me unload, called everything steel, and could not take half of what I brought despite those items being listed on their website.) Davis is far for me, but I will drive the extra to use them EVERY time in the future.
This place is amazing and go above and beyond. They pay amazingly. Plus when our phone was stolen they found it by the tracks and when I checked to see if they had seen it weeks later they still had it. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH UR AMAZING
I've been scraping for over 10 years .Davis's is the only place I scrap at. Carlos is #1 in my book because he has always remembered who I am every time I go to Davis's . The employees are excellent.

I won't be back. I brought in 35 lbs of brass shells and they priced it at just over a quarter of what Omnisource pays for the same thing. It was taken off the scale and dumped by one of the staff members before I had a chance to even know the price. I feel like I've been stolen from.
My first visit to Davis Recycling left me amazed. Living in the area my entire life I never knew this place existed. While taking my aluminum cans to Omni Source the other day to find out they weren't buying them, they had no one to work in that department. I Googled where to take them. Davis came up with a picture of a small white house on the website. Anyway I went on to find out they were closer to my house and was I AMAZED at the size of their business. The employees were so courteous and down to earth people. The convenience of the place was unreal. I am having to use a cane now and that was no problem, I didn't even have to get out of my truck (except to enter the office to collect my cash). The guys unloaded my cans and gave me clear directions to the office and how to exit. The young ladies in the office were so friendly also. The place was so big and well maintained plus the friendly people, easy to get in and out of I didn't even pay attention to thier prices, which by the way were, in my opinion very, very good. First impression do account for something.... Davis Recycling had EARNED my business.
My experience with this place has been a very great one, they are very honest people and professional, and I’ve never been to a you pull it yard right where they’ll just let you roam all over the yard because of insurance policies and I’ve never been to a yard where you have to either pay to get in or you pay for their employees to pull the part and then you’ll pay double the price !
I called and the lady told me they closed the gates at 4:30 so please be there on time. We got there at 4:32 and the gate was open for a customer to get back out (I think), so we went on through the gate knowing they were closed and the woman over the speaker told us it was after 4:30 but she was nice enough to allow us to come on through and get our scrap recycled, even though it’s Friday and I know the whole crew that works here we’re ready to go home. You guys rock!!!

RUDE RUDE RUDE!! GREEDY MONEY HUNGRY BADLY RUN BUSINESS! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME! They want to charge you a fee just to LOOK at their junk yard!!! The man behind the counter is unapologetic about giving false information! They have no idea how bad of a decision it was to lose oir business. They don't care either. That's why he's running a junkyard.
After paying the $3 dollars to be able to look around and see if they have the part you need, with luck you will find it or your out $3 bucks just for looking around, but on this day luck would have it the part in need was found,so part in hand go to the office to pay for it, and can you believe it we where .25 cents short on the money for the part, and can you believe it the man behind the window wouldn't let us slide on .25 cents after we paid$3 dollars to take a chance on finding the part, so we dug around in the car and came up with the .25 cents, but if we hadn't found it we wouldn't have gotten the part. so I dare say I will not be going back there again.
I put new exhaust on my 1987 420SEL and took my used oem catalytic converters to Davis R Inc. I got $105 for the 'large exotic' and $51 for the 'small foreign'. This was enough $ to buy new exhaust by Bosal #099489 ($130) shipped from Rockauto. Extra $26 helps for new flange bolts/seals etc. I will def do biz again. Thank you!!
Came here looking for a car part I talked to Ben the owner and he told me to feel free to browse through their junk cars and look for it. The next time I came back I was treated poorly because apparently it is not company policy to be able to browse there parts vehicles. I used to have a lot of respect for this place before then
I was very fortunate to find these folks. I emailed them 4 photos of my used Honda cat. converter (2000 Odyssey). They responded on next business day, advised me of the initial assessment and price quote. I shipped it that night (UPS ground) and they quickly processed a payment back to me by regular mail in less than 4 business days. I'm telling my mechanic about them now as well as they are paying much better than our Beaumont TX local recyclers (at least 3 times more). Their personnel were very courteous and prompt on the email questions I had, etc. Check out their BBB scores as well for BBB Knoxville TN area.
