It was my first time being here. It's a nice place to come visit to be outdoors. A nice shaded spot to go swim during the Summer.

Beautiful area! Once you make the rocky climb down to the bottom it's a lil bit to explore. Property owner is extremely nice so if you come visit this waterfall please be respectful ?

Great little hike to a very scenic area. Don't just marvel at the falls, but take the time to hike down the creek a bit. Definitely worth it. The hike down to the falls is a bit steep and rocky, so not recommended for anyone with mobility issues. However, you can still get a good view of the falls from the top of the trail.

Beautiful waterfall that is not far from the parking area. Be respectful as it is private property that the owners so kindly let people visit.

A bit crowded and the hike down to the falls can be rough if you aren't an experienced hiker but once you get to the falls it's great

What a gem! This place was so much fun for me and my whole family. I couldn't believe how perfect it was. You can jump off a couple of rocks, enjoy the cool water in the shade or the warmer water in the sun. You can also do some climbing if thats your cup of tea. Sit under the falls and let the water message your back. Explore further up or down the fall. A great place for daytime outing or a picnic. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to spend a day out in nature.

It's a wonderful place that is private owned not city and they rightfully expect folks to pick up after themselves and act as though one should when sharing spaces with strangers. But it is a great place. I'm thankful the owners keep it open and most respect the area and that is a great thing to see and experience as nature some what intended.

Gorgeous nature, water nice and clean. Not many people were there. I saw a lot of trash on the floor. The city needs to take better care. The bathroom was too far from the waterfall area.

It is hard to believe such a beautiful water fall is right near the city, but it is. Please be respectful and keep this area clean. Rutledge Falls is on private property but open to the public. When you enter in the gate walk straight and to the left following the path until you get to the top of the falls. There is a nice well walked path on the left you can take to the bottom, and is fit for most ages. If you are adventurous, you can take the path on the right and follow it down and then up to the top of the falls. Both are worth the hike. When you get to the bottom you can go right and walk over to the main falls and swim or scout around. The water by the falls is extremely cold all year round. If you are up for a long quiet walk, follow the river to the left along the bank for some spectacular rock formations, native plants, trickling waterfalls and more. Bring water shoes, a lunch and enjoy your adventure.

Will never forget this place, went here 3 years ago to visit one of my brother and got to see this as my first ever waterfall before now seeing over 100! My brother unfortunately is not around anymore so will for sure make my way back out here sometime. 10000000% worth the visit!!

Amazing nature gorgeously situated in a hidden spot. I highly recommend this place It was lovely to visit Rutledge Falls. Located inside a private property and I am grateful that the owners allows people to enjoy it. Parking is on the roadside, across from the church. I noticed there was a portable bathroom across from the church. Make sure you read and follow the rules posted behind the fence by the bicycle racks. Be careful with the slippery rocks and bring water shoes, and hiking shoes if you want to go on top of the falls, on the right side is the way to the too but you have to go down and then up to get to the very top. Bring towel, change of clothes, bug spray and be ready to take a lot of pictures or videos; if you are like me you will do both!!. The water is COLD ? but once you get inside the water your body may adapt to it or you may shiver. Keep your dog on a leash and pick up after your pet. Don't litter. No alcoholic beverages allowed. The place is beautiful beyond words with a flair of mysticism and the air is so clean and pure to breathe. There's a statue of a Greek woman but no description of what it means. And there's an area that looks like antique ruins from hundreds of years ago. As if there was subterranean living quarters. I will go back and find out more information about this intriguing place. By the way, Don't step on the grass. Just walk on the path. And don't lean, jump or seat on the fences. Let me know if you have questions. If this review was helpful to you. Please like it and comment. Thank you.

A nice and big one. I heard its a private property though but open for public. The water was really cold but stream felt safe to swim.

Amazing place , great for hikes. The place is good for people who like adventures, however it is not an ideal place for elederly people as the trails are naturally very steep and may cause severe injury. Other than that falls is beautiful.

We went here for our birthday and on Labor Day weekend for another visit. Love this place, so tranquil, absolutely a must see!!

This place is beautiful ? that being said, the pathway down is VERY steep and personally I couldn't make it to the bottom. Still something to stop and see for sure. It's not a long walk at all if you park by the church as other reviews have stated.

Great experience. GPS takes you right around the corner to the bridge. You have to turn the corner and park in one of the several parking spots across from the church. It’s a short walk down to the falls. There were several people swimming and it was very peaceful.

This is a hidden gem. Absolutely unreal how gorgeous this waterfall is and it’s only a 1 minute walk from the road. We were in awe of how big these falls were. Such an amazing thing to see. It’s worth the trip to see them plus there are other falls in the area so we made a day trip to see multiple falls.

Beautiful waterfall just a short, but steep hike from the parking area. I would recommend hiking shoes and trekking poles if you have them. There’s a nice trail that follows the river, we hiked for at least half a mile. Be careful of the moss covered rocks as they are very slippery. Very thankful for the owner of this private property, making access to the waterfall available!

One of the best falls I ve visited so far ! Fun with family and friends ! Steep trail but a short doable one. Water is initially cold but when u reach the falls sight it’s nice and warm. A quick one day or even a half day trip just outside the city of Nashville . Early mornings around 9 am to 10 am is the best time as crowd starts coming in after 10 am . Better to wear footwear that is okay to get wet .

I really enjoyed the place with my family, but had a couple of issues that I wish could be Taken care of: 1- The place was hidden behind the trees , I used GPS and I missed it two times until I saw people coming out and I asked them , the location is exactly across the street from the church. 2- It’s too steep and little unsafe when go down to the falls and same when leave back up to the street, there is no stairs or a walking path, you have to climb up/ down your way , that was my biggest concern as I have my father in law with me and I had to grab him and support him in the way up/ down, same thing for my wife and three kids, the way was rocky and slippery. I still give 5 stars to this place , loved it

Easy, short walk to the falls. Water is refreshing to swim in. There is a trail that takes you above the falls and down the creek.

Beautiful and serene waterfall. Short hike but very steep. Be prepared for a rocky climb. Very kind to open this up to the public considering it is on private land. Thank you for the wonderful memories and quality family time . The church across the street was very kind and offering water and sunscreen. 5 stars for sure! Check this out.

Beautiful spot right off the road! Very steep, but not too much of a hike down to the bottom of the falls!

One of the most beautiful places I've ever been to in Tennessee. Crisp clean water. Good vibes all around. & It only takes about 10 minutes to get from your car down to the water fall.

Very close from parking spot, very pretty, not many people either time we went.

Really exciting trails. You can walk through the rushing water here and climb the falls if you dare. Great place for everyone!

Falls can be seen at the beginning of the trail. You can climb or walk down to the river depending on which trail you choose. Beautiful falls and refreshing water! You can find a few spots to stop along the river and have a picnic if you don't mind sitting on the ground or on some rocks. Some people like to swim at the falls or climb the falls. Be aware that there are no facilities of any kind.
