I like the store and the people but it seems that it has become more commercial than I used to remember. Many items are the same thing you can get at any store just repackaged. I don't believe but I could be wrong that most products are Amish made.
Such a fun day, we had lunch and the sandwich was fresh and delicious I had the chicken salad and it was enough to share, also had a slice of german chocolate cake yum!! They have great gifts and bulk foods as well as amazing baked breads cookies and cinnamon rolls.... great place, go there!
We had a fabulous time shopping at the Muddy Pond General Store! We were visiting our cousins and they suggested a shopping trip. We bought lots of homegrown spices and candies. So much to choose from! If you're in the area, you must stop by!
Great place to visit. Great place to buy. Lots of items you won't find other places. Very fair pricing. Extra nice clerks. Lots of chairs and rockers to just sit and talk to other shoppers. Great natural food deli. Many old time foods. NO PRESSURE to buy. Some candies I haven't seen since I was very young (I'm 75). I'm done planning my next trip.
Great store! I swear this is the last place on the planet that has quality products and food at a fair price. Is it off the beaten path? Yes, but that’s the point. Folks there were friendly and accommodating. If you stop by, don’t forget the leather store next door. On my visit I got a custom fitted leather belt for $18.
I had my very first visit at this location. I enjoyed my visit. A lot of things that you cannot buy other places are offered here. A few of the items that I purchased I was disappointed in. Very clean. Stop licking on yourself.
First trip to this area. The drive from Sparta and Monterrey was beautiful. We didn't need anything at the general store, mostly food items, but they also have some handmade furniture and other items. There's a leather store attached that's worth a look.
Super pretty quilts upstsirs worth even going there to see the quilts traditional mennonite dress's and aprons available some chairs amd side tables too ENTIRE aisle of jellies and pickled veggies a huge variety of dried fruits & candies worth the drive
Can not describe how much I love this place. The first thing I noticed when getting out of the car is how quiet the surrounding area is. It is so peaceful out there. Love all the products they carry, especially the mustard pretzels. There are lots of locally made items. The second story is full of locally made quilts, wooden chairs, fun little knick knacks. Friendly service is always guaranteed here.
Super nice local store with some hard to find cooking/baking items. They offer a nice selection and variety of deli meats, cheeses, candies, pastries, baking, and housewares. They offer a small section with oak and cherry rockers and end tables. The privies were amazingly affordable. There was a lot of patrons shopping and perusing. It’s worth your drive to check them out.
They were so nice and we sampled the green onion cheese prior to purchasing. It's delicious! They're reasonable on their meat prices too! The cheese is real cheese unlike Walmart cheese that turns to greasy oil if not kept cool. Both squares of cheese have been sitting on my table for a week in 80° weather and as you can see they are fine!! No grease!!! Definitely buying again!!!!
Very cute little store. I always enjoy coming up here. It's a for sure place to bring people that come to visit. There are a lot of neat little options to get here. Some great novelties and more. Upstairs there is a neat collection of wooden toys, boxes, birdhouses, and other neat stuff. I especially love the quilts that they have in there. The Staff has always been friendly and helpful if we ever need to find anything.

Has great sandwiches with homemade everything. Staff are beyond fantastic to work with. Prices are even with quality, some I think are high but not to many items. The rest I'd say are alright. Not cheap.
Good items for kids.
Donughts on Saturday and get there early if you want any rolls. They sell quick !
One of my favorite places to go! Great little menu! Affordable! I always get a fantastic grilled cheese on homemade sourdough. Take home Amish made goodies and if you're lucky there might be local grown cantaloupe! The best!!
This is a gem of a lil store. We bought a beautiful entry table for a great price. This store and all the little stores in this area need to be visited.
They have other country stores along with Leather Goods stores and furniture barns.
We didn't get to all the other places but this lil area is a lot of fun. Glad we went.
