Would leave 0 stars if I could. Charged $100 as a "diagnostic fee" just to pop the hood and look. Nobody waste your time with this useless greedy old man
$350 mistake (only providing 1 star so that I can post this review). I was visiting Sewanee for graduation weekend, got a nail in my tire (20k miles on the tire) which caused a slow leak. Took the car to Sewanee Auto Repair on Friday morning. 2 plugs put in tire -- but the plugs also leaked (tire was down 15 lbs of air by Friday evening).
Shop is closed in Sat and Sun, so I just kept adding air and drove home to NC on Sunday. Took the tire to Costco on Monday, and THEY WON'T REPAIR a tire that's already been repaired (too much liability if the new patch repair fails). NO major tire repair shop (WalMart, NTB, Discount Tire, Firestone) will 'repair a repair'. SO...I have to buy a brand new tire.
Spoke with the owner - his contention is that I should find a (small, independent) shop to repair his mistake. Not an option for me - while I understand that major chains are trying to sell tires, I also believe that there is risk in trying to fix someone else's mistake. I would not trust the servicing of my vehicle to this shop.
Went here to replace my Prius battery after it died. I was on call with one of the women who work the front desk, and told the battery they replaced it with was a new battery with a four year warranty. I trusted them as I’ve gone there multiple times for oil changes and other repairs. Over the next three months, I’m having to go to the repair shop because the Prius computer was still saying there was an issue with the hybrid system. I take the car to an official Toyota servicer and it turns out that they lied about the battery being new (it was a refurbished one with two dead cells) and there was only a one year warranty.
I was traveling with my son and his family. We were almost 2 hours away from home when my car broke down on the side of the mountain. Had it towed to the nearest garage. They were closed that day but come Monday morning I gave then a call ti explain amd they were very understanding. Had my car fixed that week at a very reasonable price and did amazing work. Definitely recommend this garage!!
Fantastic people running this place! My car broke down while driving through Sewanee and, even though they were five minutes from closing, they were willing to help me get the car drivable where I could get home safely. Cannot recommend them enough!
We were on a trip from out of town and had a flat tire due to a nail. They were able to fix every thing in less than an hour and we were able to continue our trip without delay. Thanks so much.
