Good company, answered immediately and gave good customer service. The driver, Ryan Champa gave excellent service and had good communication and went the extra mile.
The owner of the company was really nice and easy to talk. They strive to be there in 45 minutes or less which is great when you’re in a bind. Once he was there we were ready to be on the road in less than 5 minutes.
This Guy is extremely unprofessional! I can't believe someone this rude, disrespectful and entitled is in the customer service profession. Josh yelled at me and then just hung up in my face. I would not do business with someone that is this unprofessional.
Vehicle slid off our driveway and was stuck in a ditch with some snow and mud. Lightning Towing responded very quickly, maintained excellent communication until they arrived, and had me on my way in no time. They were friendly, professional and great to work with, highly recommend them!
called in to get an exact eta because I am at work 30 mins from the pick up location. the driver was rude and told me to not even keep talking. he proceeded to tell me I was wasting his time. then hung up on me. the tow was set up by progressive but due to the horrible customer service and irate attitude over the phone I had to cancel the pick up. lightning towing and recovery is very unprofessional and does not handle customer service appropriately.
be weary of the guys you give your hard earned money to some only care about the paycheck.
Josh was extremely helpful and knowledgeable with getting our dead car towed out of the airport garage. After contacting 6 other tow truck companies, all of which scheduled a pup and then bailed on the job without notifying us, Josh / Lightning Towing &Recovery, made it happen. He stayed in contact with us regarding the timeline and completed the pup and drop off exactly as promised. Highly recommend.
Unheard of...They towed our vehicle on the night of 10-6-21. They told us they would take it to their shop and take it to the auto paint & body shop on the next day. I have been driving a rental since then. It was finally taken to the paint and body shop today on 10-20-21, 2 weeks later. Just be careful with your insurance hiring them to deliver vehicles to a designated location.
They were great! I had a truck that had a fire under the hood. I pulled over and called these guys and within 22 minutes of hanging up, they were onsite and taking me to the dealership. It was sleeting terribly and I figured that it would take several hours to get someone to show up, but these guys came immediately and took care of us. I’ll be a return customer. Nothing like excellent customer service! It’s a lost art, but not with these guys! Thanks for making me feel important and solving my problem!

SCAM artist. Stay very far away. I’ve had to involve the state against this company and it’s confirmed they have many upset customers. The owner yelled in my face canceled my insurance company so that he could make a quick buck and told me to give him cash for over $425 for a simple pull. - call another company PLEASE

Ran out of gas on the interstate at 9pm and called the number to my roadside assistance. Roadside assistance couldn't find a single company to bring fuel because it was "unsafe". After sitting for TWO HOURS roadside assistance FINALLY tried Lightning Towning and he was there in 30 minutes. He put 3 gallons of fuel in my car and even gave me a jump from where I had sat so long waiting for roadside assistance to find me help. Great guy, very helpful. Should be moved to the top of the roadside assistance list. I will call Lightning Towing direct next time instead of using the roadside assistance I pay for.

Highly recommend Lightning! My car was disabled in an underground parking garage with very low clearance and tight turns. After being told by multiple towing companies that they couldn’t help due to no suitable truck, we finally found Lightning. They found a solution and then quickly and efficiently got the car up to street level and completed the tow. Very courteous and professional service. Hopefully will not need a tow in the future, but if I do I wouldn’t consider using another company.
Got one star because 0 isn't an option , these crooks stole my car after my wife went into a ditch last night , they had no authorization from me of my insurance company to even touch my car , then said it would be $800 dollars to drop my car that was never supposed to be touched by them to begin with , but never gave me an option to pay , and is now holding my car hostage at their lot , I'm very frustrated and overly infuriated, I will never recommend these crooks or thieves to anyone , luckily my insurance company contacted them before I filed a police report ( which was geicos idea ) about them stealing my car ( Update ) since this review Josh Johnson the owner of this pos company contacted me using vulgar language and attitude , will not let me see my car and is trying to charge $1100 to release my care for so called water recovery ( have pictures to prove that's a lie ) , accident clean up ( again more pictures to prove that's a lie ) , and storage for 1 night , he lied to police saying my car was blocking the roadway ( pictures prove that's a lie ) so he could tow without my permission , he left my car uncovered with a window rolled down over night through severe storm , thank god for global open and close feature on my Fusion so I was able to roll up my windows with my key fob (update) My car was finally released after this pos extorted nearly $1600 from me and my insurance company for fraudulent claims, my insurance will most likely sue and so will I be advising my attorney to file suite , I do not recommend this company to anyone , lord knows how many people he has done this too , but guarantee he did it to the wrong person , DO NOT USE LIGHTNING TOWING AND RECOVERY
Never ever will I use this company again...AAA will never send you out to me..I call at 10:30 am and waited until 3pm for y'all to come out because your driver had COURT,knowing that it was a 35 foot travel trailer you send a wheel lift out..driver had to go get a different truck and come back....and then you left the tounge of my trailer near the highway and now AAA has to send another driver to fix this mistake that your driver made. I have hugh ruts from your stinger by my driveway for where he went off in ditch. He took my trailer thru a ditch. I have filed a complaint with AAA and will submit all necessary information to them.
Was incredibly creative in getting our motorhome out of a deep hole without doing any damage to the vehicle and did it all by himself .Everyone else was saying that it would take two large wreckers to get us out and that we would probably have some damage to the RV in the process .Plus he was super nice. Hopefully will never need his help again but he would be the first person I would call if I had another problem and needed a wrecker.

I strongly recommend that no one use this company, and I have appealed to Nationwide Insurance and Agero to stop using them for roadside assistance services. On July 5, my 4Runner was hit on Second Ave. Nationwide/Agero dispatched Lightning Towing. Lightning was late arriving. I was told they would be at the scene no later than 30 minutes after dispatch. After waiting for 25 minutes, I called the tow truck driver only to learn that he had not even left yet. He was rude on the phone. Nationwide told me that he would give me a ride home - he refused. He even refused to wait until a Lyft arrived, which forced me to put all the items that I needed to take with me on the sidewalk. (My truck had just been badly hit, and I was shaken-up and stunned. How about a little understanding and compassion?). Third, he BROKE PROTOCOL by delivering my truck to the body shop and 1) leaving the key inside the vehicle and 2) never going inside the body shop to let them know he had delivered the truck to them. He was supposed to take the truck to secure storage overnight and deliver the truck to the body shop in the morning. Instead, he delivered the truck directly to the body shop and left it an unsecured area all night long. Moreover, because he left the key in the vehicle (it's a fob), the truck would not lock. My truck was broken into, vandalized, and $800 worth of personal items were stolen - ALL BECAUSE LIGHTNING TOWING FAILED TO FOLLOW PROCEDURES. I will never use this company, I will never allow an insurance company to dispatch this company to me again and I am considering taking action against Lightning, Agero and Nationwide so I can recover my stolen items. All of this could have been avoided had Lightning Towing followed proper procedures. I would recommend that no one use this company under any circumstances.
After another towing company had completely dropped the ball, my insurance company called Lightning Towing. Josh from Lightning called me in less than 5 minutes, arrived within 20 minutes, got my car to the shop, and even literally went the extra mile and droppes me off at my house. After being left stranded by the other company for nearly 4 hours with nothing but false promises and weak excuses, Josh and Lightning Towing displayed impressive responsiveness and customer service. I heartily recommend them!
I would recommend this Towing company. Josh came out and helped me when i lost my Fob for the rental car. He is very knowledgeable and had great customer service.
A friend and I were traveling together when his truck broke down while pulling his camper. We called roadside assistance and waited over 2 hours. During the time sitting in an empty parking lot in August, we were able to fix it ourselves with help from a local auto parts store. When the driver finally showed up, instead of helping, all he seemed interested in doing was telling my friend what a liar he was. After verbally assaulting us, he simply drove away. Unprofessional, rude, arrogant, and a complete waste of time. Horrible service.
