I have been going to Copart salvage yards for 25 years all over the country. I have never had as good experience as I did at the Rapid City Copart. Both the ladies in the office, Shar, and Donna were so kind to me. From the moment that I called to verify that I could inspect a vehicle, to the speed with which they pulled the vehicle from inventory, everything was great. Then, when the temperatures were freezing and the wind was 20 mph, they put the vehicle indoors for me and I was able to complete my inspection in relative comfort. I'm so grateful to both of them. Thank you all very much.
Was supposed to get my car from a tow yard a week ago. Call them several times and can't manage to talk to a human being. Car still sitting in tow yard after accident. Biggest waste of time and money
I'm sorry to see the less than perfect reviews from others about this location. I have to say, as a company, CoPart is the worst auction I've ever dealt with in my 10 years as a car dealer. I've heard that IAAI is just as bad but I've never actually bought from them. However, THIS CoPart location in Rapid City gave me the best experience I've ever had at any CoPart location. It was simple, quick, straightforward, the car didn't have any additional damage other than what is shown in the listing, (worth mentioning with CoPart), and I showed up over an hour before my appointment time but they still brought the car right to me as soon as I arrived and positioned my dolly. I couldn't even mark myself as "arrived" on the transport app because of bad phone signal, and I fully expected the CoPart employees to sit there and gawk at me, even though my car is sitting RIGHT THERE and my dolly is sitting RIGHT HERE and they won't lift a finger to get me on my way because there's some stupid hoop to jump through before they can "let the car go." Bottom line is after I've paid for the car and I have the title, it's MY CAR and it's no longer even legal for them to prevent me from taking it by whatever means I have at my disposal, although they often still do.
But NOT at THIS LOCATION. They were right on top of things, super efficient and quick. I had my car on the dolly before I could even get the transport app to work, and I just strapped it on and left. Later when I had phone signal, I found they had marked me "arrived" themselves when they knew I was there. Why? Because it makes sense to do that when they could see me sitting right there. That's too much to ask from a lot of other CoPart locations. These guys were great. It's a long drive from Salt Lake City, but I will absolutely buy at this location again.
As a company, CoPart almost seems to be doing everything they can to make it as difficult as possible to buy a car. However, unbeknownst to them, they have "boots on the ground" at some of their locations who DO care about the customer and just make things easy, like these people at Rapid City. Thanks for a quick, simple and efficient transaction.

FACTS: NEBRASKA SALVAGE TITLE
FRUAD, THEFT BY DECEPTION ($2349.00 transport fees & the price of RV). Now we have a unit that we spent thousands on & it is pretty much worthless.
Resale Value is diminished by 40%, & we must go through arduous Missouri HWP title / vin inspection for salvage title (appointments takes 4-6 weeks to get) along with 80mi transport to get it to the MO HWP. Fun.
WOULD Have NEVER BOUGHT THIS UNIT IF THE DISHONEST SELLERS HAD BEEN HONEST.

Most incompetent people to deal with .they don't have a clue what they are doing .get bounced all over the nation from call center to call center .they tell you one thing and my car still in the drive way 2 days after it was supposed to picked up.not to mention rude people when you call em up sit on hold for ever as well
