The only mechanic shop I would ever think to recommend. I've always had good experience and timely repairs. These guys offer a lot of additional services like towing, that really helped me out in some tough spots. Josh will treat you with respect. He is very honest, and courteous. That man really cares about doing things right. Their prices are always super fair and never extortionate. They always stand by their work. I go to them now exclusively. Affordable Automotive is how a business SHOULD operate. They're an island of competence and virtue in an industry saturated in seedy practices. Give these guys a shot. They'll treat you right.

Actually I’ve been in contact with sc department of public safety about you guys and according to them fees don’t double due to the reason the car was towed and not only that you guys weren’t even next on rotation so it was crooked from the start. Anyone who sees this review and was done the same please contact the department of public safety so we can have these crooked folks removed from the list. Price gauging is not allowed

I brought my car in last weekend they told me they could not get the part until tuesday. The part came in on Tuesday morning Josh called me he let me know and they had the car done within 4 hours. Also they were kind enough to give me a drive home pick me back up and make everything very seamless as possible. I would highly highly recommend these guys for any automotive problems you might have. Thanks Josh... Also a special shout-out to Evans.

Jackson Auto had my car for 4 months. They did not put a new alternator in my car, and because I don't drive that much, six months later, when warm weather arrived and I needed to go to the hospital, I used my headlights, air conditioning and windshield wipers. My car was not running right. I thought it might be a different problem. Anyway, it's been just over 6 months, and they refuse to stand behind their product and workmanship. Do not use Jackson aka Affordable Auto. They are untrustworthy and they have no problem lying. And they don't care about you or your vehicle.

Josh has helped me out several times and been Great! I bought a certified used car and had only had it a few weeks when I light came on the dash. The place I bought was gonna charge me $160 to diagnose it even tho I hadn’t made the first payment yet- I called Josh and he had me bring it right to him and hooked it up and told me what was wrong with it - didn’t charge me a thing! He will always have my business!

If you need anything auto related go see Mr.Wonderful you will not be disappointed. They replaced a engine in my Nissan pickup for a fair price and could not be more happy with the quality.

Took my 2003 Escalade up there which had several issues. The guys addressed everything I had mentioned and even found a couple of other things that needed replacing. All done very quickly and for a good price. As long as I live in the upstate I won't take my vehicle to another place!

I had my car towed here after a flat tire and a sensor wasn’t working. This was supposed to be a simple issue, so we didn’t have the car towed to our usual trusty mechanic who is further away. Well, that was a costly mistake. The tire was fixed, and they “fixed” the sensor, and never called to let us know that it would cost $300! After we picked up the car, the breaks quit working .2 miles after leaving the shop!! So we had the car towed again to our mechanic (another $125) and our mechanic fixed the issue quite easily by recalibrating the car. The new sensor was installed incorrectly and not calibrated. And the owner would not refund us, even though he never let us know the cost ahead of time and then could have got us killed on the way home. Go here at your own risk….

Josh has worked on more than one my vehicles over the years and I have always found him to be upfront and honest. Tells you what he finds and what it will cost does not overcharge and fixes it the first time.

I had a electronic throttle control light on and my car wasn't accelerating properly after my battery died. Just left this place. Guy told me my electronic throttle control needed to be replaced and that I had an oil and water leak under my intake covering. Said they had the covering off already. Quoted me $2250 for parts and labor. I said "no thank you". He told the other guy to "pull it out". Guy backed my car out of the garage in 30 seconds. I know for a fact it took my dad and I at least an hour total to remove and replace the intake cover 6 months ago. No way they even had it off. Got in my car and the error light is off and my car is running perfect.

Affordable automotive is right down the street from me. I just had my rear brakes and a caliper done here today and I'm really glad I did. I dropped my Nissan off early and left it. They were done at a great time and the price was perfect but the value of having this shop right down the road from my is priceless. Thanks for the great experience and I will absolutely be returning for my automotive needs!!

Don’t go to this guy!!! He’s robbing people without a gun I promise… had my car towed here to get looked he calls me back with a 850 bill with NO new parts… lol so I paid half long story short I pull off the lot and break down half mile down the road oh how mad was I… so he basically scammed me out of 400 I had to call the cops and everything on this guy. I took my vehicle somewhere else to get looked at it was a 140$ fix….. this guy sucks !!!!!

Needed A/C Service during 90 plus degree heat wave. I had checked other shops for pricing and how soon they could get me in. Found Affordable Automotive on the web and thought I would give them a try. I can see why they have very good reviews! All other shops were considerably higher and at least a week out getting me in. I rolled up at Affordable Automotive same day with no appointment and they had me going with cold air in about 20 minutes at a very reasonable price. Did not get their names but i talked with three very personable gentlemen who understood the heat we were experiencing and wanted to help me out. Could not be more pleased and will be back with all future service needs. While there, I got a quote on some future work that I will need to have done. Had a quote within minutes and it too is better than other pricing I have received. You have found a new customer in me! Thanks Guys!

If your looking for quick honest courtious, a place were you taken care of like you are family this is place to go! Even though was 1st time using, Josh and his staff took care of me made sure my car was repaired quickly and went above and brought car to me when I couldnt get to them! He has found a customer for life!

I had a tire issue on the way to work one morning and I was already running late I pulled into you affordable Auto and within 5 minutes my issue was fixed and no problem since then. They were able to get me on the road knowing that I was already late as quick as they could. Thought I was going to need rotors and brakes but once I brought my car back there for the second time they didn't inspection and Mr Bishop then told me I did not need rotors only the brakes. Rotors are still running good and haven't had to have a brake service since then. Definitely I would recommend affordable Auto as a single parent their prices sure fit my pockets! You are not called Mr wonderful for no reason it's because you are a wonderful business owner wonderful prices and most of all wonderful staff. Thank you for serving a Small Town like woodruff.

I took my vehicle to them for a check on my air conditioner. They filled it with coolant and said it was blowing ice cold. A week later it completely quit cooling and I took it back to them. This time they said it needed a new compressor. So I agreed for them to install a new one. About a month later, the AC stopped working again. I took it back to them they said they would get another one and give me credit for the first one. That did not include any of the labor or cost of the coolant that they had done before. So, I paid for another new compressor to be installed. It also cooled for the rest of the summer season, which was about a month and a half. At that time it started blowing out hot air again. The next summer I called them to find out about the warranty and was told that there was only a one year warranty on all of their compressors, whether they were refurbished or new. I was told by the auto parts store where they purchased it that some compressors have one year warranties and some have five year warranties. I called affordable auto back and ask them to look up my invoice, so they could tell me which that it had. They refused to look it up for me because it was inconvenient, and hung up on me. So, all of this to say that Affordable Auto is neither affordable or trustworthy. Please take my sincere advice and go somewhere else.

I just moved to Woodruff and found Affordable Automotive online and since they had great reviews I called...sure enough the owner Josh is every bit as good as they say...extremely knowledgable and helpful. These days it's hard to find those that care about their work quality. He is honest and forthright and he fixed my truck so that it runs better. He is now my go to man for all my vehicles...I highly recommend him.

Josh replaced the transmission & radiator in our truck last month and also handles all of our oil changes and brake work in our automobile. Best pricing & he keeps them running great! Wouldn’t go anywhere else!!

I went to this business on Veterans Day I called before I went and asked if my vehicle would be done the same day? I was told “Yes” I dropped my cat off early afternoon after not hearing from them by 4 o’clock (they close at five) I CALLED THEM for status on my vehicle I was told it wouldn’t be done till the following day, no apology for inconvenience NOTHING. I had to call-in to work, They will not get another $400+ out of me, Lesson learned this is my experience at this business good luck

I own a 2005 Chevy Avalanche and when I got gas the pump continually shut off. It just wouldn't take gas and it would take me nearly 20 minutes to just fill the tank. I took it to a Spartanburg mechanic on the 221 back in November. He billed me for numerous parts and labor and he didn't fix it ($300). I brought it back to him four times (because I already paid and wanted it repaired). Finally I just took my truck back and left. I read great reviews regarding Affordable Automotive so I called and scheduled to drop it off Monday. Wednesday morning I received the call that it is repaired and ready for pickup. His rate was incredibly fair at only $50 and in less than 3 days as opposed to 5 months of frustration. I was able to fill my tank like a normal person again!!! I highly recommend their services if you want affordable, timely and professionalism you can trust. I will never go to another mechanic since finding them. P/S I did go back to the original mechanic and demanded a refund and received it!!!

I learned of Affordable when a friend from out of state had car trouble and needed to get the car fixed. Josh and team got her in right away, diagnosed the issue and got her up and running at an incredible price. We thought there was an issue with the starter but they found the root cause that was much less expensive. I then took my truck and was extremely happy with the work, customer service, quality and price. I’ve found my new mechanic and will use Affordable for everything from here forward!

I called the afternoon before, asking if they could replace my brakes and rotors on my Santa Fe. I was crunched for time since we were heading out on vacation. Not only were they able to take me on short notice, but they also saved me money. I had been told earlier I needed rotors by someone else, but in fact, I did not. They called to let me know I did not need rotors and would only need brake pads. I dropped my car off the night before and it was ready by the end of the next day and at half the cost of the dealership quote. I highly recommend them! Trustworthy, knowledgeable and fair prices.

I was out of state and car wouldn't start back up after grabbing a coffee and gas to continue my trip. Towed to Affordable Auto Repair after looking at reviews. Josh was fantastic. He got to my car early next morning so I could get back on the road. Very affordable and efficient. The whole experience was awesome. I met the nicest people in SC! Thank you, Josh... 5⭐'s for me.

I called around getting price quotes for repair of a caliper and brake pads and this place was by far the best price. So when I dropped it off, they told me a couple hours and they would have it ready. They arranged a ride for me so that I could wait in the comfort of my home(their daughter is awesome). They did a dependable repair and the amount of time they estimated was on point. The service was great. When I came in I told them about my husband's truck being stuck in the mud thanks to the rough weather and they were at my home within 30 minutes and I had them go ahead and do my husband's brakes too. Being new to woodruff, I have been looking for an honest place to go that was not going to rip me off. I also enjoyed meeting the very cool family that runs this place. Good salt of the earth kind of people. I love people with integrity. Such a blessing to have discovered this place. Just wanted to share my experience. They can have all my business!!!!
