When checking cashiers hit accept button for warranties you may not want. Then when you need to use a Warranty they have some lame excuse why they cannot honor it, especially batteries.

Went to get a battery replaced with a warranty and had the receipt and everything and they told me I had a silver battery instead of red and I had to go to the advanced I got it from the manager sucks there…come to find out, the whole time I had a red battery. Greer advanced auto is so much better!

So I needed a key for a lock lug nut, but wasn't sure of the size, or the exact number of splines. I bought a Dorman Spline drive key just using visual observation, as Ii wasn't sure the size of the lugnut. The package was sealed tight and I was forced to cut it open to get the key out. I went outside to slip it on the lug, and it didn't fit. When I went back inside to try and exchange it for the next smaller size, I was denied an exchange. Oh well, $13.99 down the drain. So I went ahead and purchased the next one, hoping it'd be a better fit. It didn't fit either, and it costed $21.99. I spent over $75.00 in other products while I was there, so I figured the staff would be kind enough to give me a refund, as I am a regular customer. The staff wasn't rude, however they just said "Sorry!" I went right next door to the competing auto parts store, and they had the same product, except with snap tight packaging, and I was allowed to take it out of the package, take it out side accompanied by the sales representative, slipped it over my lug to insure a good fit, before I had to pay a dime, and what do ya know, this Dorman Spline Dive Key fit my lug perfectly, first try. Please with the service I went in and purchased this product from the rival competition and was very satisfied with them, and very disappointed with my local Advanced Auto Parts, to which I was a loyal customer. Below are the two keys that I waisted close to $40.00 for that I couldn't use. The one I purchased from O'Rileys that I was very satisfied with, especially the friendly service, is out in the toolbox in the truck of my car. I'll be keeping it. I guess since Advanced don't do refunds I will try to sell to get some of my money back that I was denied a refund.😓

When you hire people that don’t know anything but what the computer tells them you waste everyone’s time. When you can’t have basic parts in stock besides overpriced junk you waste everyone’s time. Places like this need to close its doors. Amazon and even Walmart are half the price and sell name brand parts. Don’t bother here.

The people at Advanced Auto Parts are always friendly and have a smile on their face! We have been to a few in different places and states and it is the same everywhere. They also have some very knowledgeable staff.

For a few years now I've shopped here,as it's right near my home, and most of the time the experience has been good. However, for these years there is an older woman who works there that everytime I've gone in there and she is working it is having to hear her non stop complain about this and complain about that. Or she's on her phone. With a costumer? Who knows! People can be in line waiting and because shes just sitting there loudly talking on the phone, we don't know if she's helping costumers on the phone or not! But when costumers are on line for ten minutes and someone walks in the store, picks up their items, goes in FRONT of the costumers who've been waiting and she helps them...and doesn't say to that person "these people were on front of you, please wait your turn", it's rude, is lack of class and unprofessional. O Riley's are right next door, so for now on they'll get the business.

They do not accept returns of new, unpackaged items. They say their return policy does not allow this, but my item was not on their list of non-returnable items. I'll just go to ORelly next time, which is 50 feet to the left.

Once a week I stop in Advance for my Vehicle supplies. The Only store I shop at for supplies and Staff is very Friendly and Helpful. This store is Never packed. So it's an in & out store and Always great prices.

Went in needing new headlights. I went straight to the check-out desk to ask an employee for assistance with which lights would fit my car. He looked in their system for what was needed, and said they have the lights in stock. The employee went through the store and picked out the headlights, and assures me that they will work for my car. I bought them, and went home to install. However, they did not fit my light sockets. My boyfriend went back to exchange them (maybe 30 minutes later) and was told that we could not return them. I do not trust this place or the advise they give. If I had picked them out by myself, I completely understand not being able to return them. However, I specifically asked for assistance and was given false information.

Absolutely horrendous customer service. Apparently they hire kids that don't have any common sense, manners, or professionalism. Y'all better invest in retraining employees. I definitely won't be back to this location.

I went in this store today looking for bulbs, which I needed help finding. There was one woman, and two men working. Not one spoke to me or offered to help me. I stood there for awhile, but finally decided to leave. I should mention I was the only customer in the store. I went next door to O'Reilly's, which was actually busy, and they greeted me, and offered me help right away. Consumers have choices. Don't bother with this store.

I had bought spark plugs in Greer , and when I opened them , they were boxed wrong ! Took them to Wellford store on my way home , and they refused to refund or swap for the correct boxed plugs ! Such sorry customer service ! Only use Napa or Autozone from now on

This location 😡😡😡. So I bought a battery next door from O’reilly, they stated they could not install the battery even though we bout it from them because it’s in the trunk of a camero, went to advance, explained everything while still in the car: we have a new battery need help placing it. Man told us yes he could help, had us turn the car off, then realized we had an already bought a battery and said he can’t help us. He then started throwing. “Company policy” around. He let me borrow the 3 tools to get my battery out. Then he went to help another customer who knew he had to buy a battery from them and both of them just sat there and watched me struggle. He apologized for his misunderstanding, but he could have helped me just to be kind. But “company policy” is more important if he would have understood what we said BEFORE I turned the car off, now I’m oily and tired. This was so messed up.

Dropped in to get a qt of oil. Went fine. Found a store brand of syn oil for 1/2 price of name brands. The brand names make it for them. Good experience.

It's advance auto parts. I didn't buy anything. I was with my neighbor. I told corporate I wouldn't buy there again over a decade ago. I'm sure this store is fine, but I'm good for my word.

Friendly, clean and well maintained landscaping. A clean and well maintained landscaping means ALOT!! If they can look clean and neat on the outside usually means the same inside.

The ladies that run this place really know their stuff! I was having problems with a battery that we got there last year... She tested the battery and found it needed to be replaced so we checked the warranty. Since it was still covered she installed a new one for me and sent me on my way... All in about a half hour!

Great store. V and Eric were both super helpful in checking and changing my old battery that did NOT want to come out. They both made sure they did all they could to fix my battery and get me a new one, and not just pass it off when the old one seemed corroded and stuck. Thanks guys!

Truly grateful that Eric and Logan were able to assist me tonight! Eric was diligent and ensured that he installed the proper battery despite having purchased the incorrect one. I ordered the recommended battery for my vehicle. However, it was NOT the correct battery.

Very friendly staff. As others have said, all these auto parts stores have the parts you need. But this location is actually helpful and pleasant to deal with. And that is why I go here and not to their neighbors.

As far as auto parts it's the typical standard parts store and not very different from another advance or any other parts store. What is different about this place is that they have some of the friendliest and best people that work there and that actually is a huge difference. Sometimes it's the service that makes all the difference and if I need anything this will be my first place to go.

UPS uses this store as an access point. I missed a delivery at home so UPS shipped my package to Advanced Auto on 9/10/2020. I went to Advance Auto on 9/12/2020 to pick up my package. They said it wasn't there. I checked the tracking data once I returned home and the website still reflected that my package was still at Advanced Auto and was received by Donna 9/10/2020. I called Advanced Auto and spoke with Donna. Donna proceeded to tell me that my package was not there and maybe someone gave it back to UPS despite the fact that they are supposed to hold packages for 7 days. I called UPS and they informed me that there is no data showing that the package was back in their possession. Dont trust Advanced Auto Parts with your pacakges!

I had a great experience with Donna the General Manager a few days ago! she was extremely helpful in helping me find everything that I need for my Truck. Even though the store seemed really busy she managed to help everyone out in a perfect amount of time with not a single soul complaining! Props to her and the rest of the crew there! I will definitely be returning to this Advanced and making it my go to store ESPECIALLY for the great quality customer service. Thanks to Donna!!!

Lifetime brake pad warranties are no longer honored. I had an outer pad come apart and dig into the rotor on a set of ceramic lifetime pads, while all three other pads on the front had tons of wear left. Advanced refused to honor their warranty calling a shattered outer pad normal wear and tear caused by the rotor (which was installed brand new when the pads were). The lady didn't hardly even glance at the defective pad (or what was left of it). Save yourself some trouble and go next door to O'Reilly's

Be aware that not every one that works at this store has the knowledge to recommend what to do about a car problem. I have been there a couple of times and one of their outspoken employees spouted off something that was totally impossible. But other than this person the employees are very helpful.
