Called for a cost estimate. Staff was rude even after explaining that I had a diagnosis and was looking to compare cost to have work completed. I was hung up on by the staff.

Just moved back to SC from a 7 yr hiatus in Raleigh NC and a 10 yr stay back home in NJ. Coming to a new city in Spartanburg SC it can be a bit overwhelming finding a new service center/auto maintenance garage. Advantage AC, Tire & Repair made the transition flawless they had pulled my service records from AAA via carfax and give you a report card on your car/truck once service is completed. They let you not only know how good you scored but also what need's to be serviced in the future or immediately. I appreciate everything; they made an outsider feel @ home. I found my new Service center for my 2019 Chevy SUV, so I recommend TAKING "ADVANTAGE " of a A+ Service center/garage. If you care about your automobile go here nowhere else.

Advantage auto is my go to place for my family’s vehicles. The service is excellent from start to finish. They are honest and do everything they can to keep costs low while maintaining a high level of quality.
Advantage always provides professional, reliable service! This time we had gotten a flat tire and needed new tires quickly. As usual Lee and his team had our vehicle taken care of and we were back on the road in no time.
I was really hopeful that this shop would be a good choice for getting an alignment done on my truck after I installed new tie rods. They informed me that the tie rods needed a jam nut for proper alignment, so I provided them with the necessary hardware for installation. Additionally, I was experiencing issues with my ABS system, and after they diagnosed it, they determined that the driver's side hub needed replacement.
After paying over $700 for the repairs, I went home to remove the wheel hub, only to discover that they had torn the boots on both the inner and outer tie rods on the driver’s side. I called the shop to report the damage, explaining that the tie rod now needs replacement—even though it had only been on the truck for less than 10 hours after their work.
Their response was disappointing: “I don’t know what happened. Let me see what we can find out. I’ll call my tech and get back to you.” I never received a call back. Now, I’m left with a damaged aftermarket ball joint, a hefty bill of over $700, and no resolution to my problem.
Overall, I experienced the worst customer service and, unfortunately, this experience has reinforced my decision to do my own vehicle repairs in the future. This is simply unacceptable.
DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I have a mini cooper and regularly went to this shop to get my oil changed any time it needed it. The last time I got my oil changed they let a "new employee" work on my vehicle, the vehicle was returned to me leaking oil. And the oil leak was EXTREME. There was a huge oil spill in my driveway by the next morning. I took my car back and explained the issue and they assured me they would fix it free of charge, once they gave me my vehicle back literally nothing changed and it was still leaking oil. Fast forward I take my car to the official MINI shop in Greenville and they Informed me my last mechanic caused FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS WORTH OF DAMAGE TO MY OIL SYSTEM. I'm a 19 year old college student who still has 6k left to pay on my car and this company is so dispicable for what they've done to me. Me and my friends and family all took our cars here but after this incident none of us will ever be coming back.
Taking your vehicle to the shop can be a daunting process, it takes time and has the potential to be expensive. The crew at Advantage takes the anxiety out of the service process. I know when I take my cars there, that the service will be quick and affordable. Additionally the crew has the utmost integrity, documents all of the issues and work completed. I trust my families safety to the Advantage crew and am very satisfied!

Took my car here after getting scammed by another place. They did a thorough look over of my car with pictures, were super nice and spoke to me like I already knew them. I felt like they were actually trying to help me and explained exactly what was wrong and what I needed to do. Definitely going back.
Advantage did great work installing my tires. I had 4 mounted and balanced, dropped my vehicle off in the morning, they got me to work and had me finished before the end of the day. I would highly recommend their shop for sure!
They recently diagnosed my friends car window as she was having issues with it functioning. The diagnostic was over 150$. A step price for the work honestly but I would see the argument for claiming that as an hourly fee. The real crime was the quote for around 750$ for the repair. This is cut and dry taking advantage of your clients knowledge on what goes into this work. Even if you chose OEM parts to replace the regulator they would not come close to this. The work itself takes less than 20 minutes. How can I say this with confidence? I replaced it in that time today. Purchased reputable aftermarket one for 60$ and works great. Important to note your techs broke multiple tabs on the door panel, tyore through the sound abatement like a gorilla, and didn't even plug the regulator back in to leave the plug dangling. Unprofessional. I'm sorry but there is no defense for any of these things. Not to mention she still got work done with you guys and you still charged her for the diagnostic. It's shop's like this that make me ashamed to be into the car community. If you want to fix your reputation and your rating you'll need to do it with one good review at a time and earn that with honest quality work. Be better.
Absolutely ridiculous- Over priced for a diagnostic that I already know what is happening to my vehicle. They do not rely information properly when speaking to their costumer. There diagnostic is exactly what I explain to them on the phone nothing extra or specific. Would never go here again unless you want to get taken “advantage” of.
Took the wife’s 2018 Buick Encore for service and a diagnostic on the AC system because the AC wasn’t working. The techs did a thorough diagnostic and provided an estimate for the repair. I’m not going to say it was an inexpensive repair. However, I am going to say that I have the utmost trust in the Advantage team. The AC repair comes with a 3 year warranty; which I think is exceptional. Bottom line is I’m happy with the whole experience. I highly recommend Advantage for your auto maintenance and tire needs.
Brought in my Nissan for clunking noises and I knew it was some kind of suspension problem. I'd just had new shocks/struts put on by another mechanic shop less than a year ago and was scared they were already going out. Turned out it was only a minor adjustment needed. They fixed that and did an alignment and it's running so nice and smooth again. A+ for customer service, honesty and pricing. I'll definitely be coming back here for any future mechanical needs!
New to the area and was referred to Advantage. Great place to get work done. They are very knowledgeable right off the bat but will research the issue as well. Quick in and out with an immediate need to get my truck back on the road! Think I’ve found my place for service in my new area!
Great service for a good price. Had a new a/c compressor installed, charged, and ready to go within 3 business days. Also made me aware of a leaky valve cover gasket I hadn't yet noticed. Will definitely be a return customer.
Pros: Customer service was pretty decent. The younger gentleman offered to take me home in my truck so I didn’t have to order an Uber. I appreciated that.
Cons: Took the truck in for a starting problem that I was having and a seat issue. After having the truck for two days I got charged for the wire they fixed (cut under the seat) as well as a diagnostic fee. They couldn’t find the reason for the starting problem.
I asked multiple times if the starting problem could be the result of a bad starter. I was reassured by a couple people (including the owner ) that there was no possible way that it could be the start and that this is just a common problem with the RAMs. I also asked multiple times if my breaks were good and if there was anything that I need repaired on the truck as I had a road trip hauling an rv. I was told no. I asked for a diagnostic report on paper so I can see everything that they checked over but they couldn’t provide that.
Long story short, after 800 miles I arrived at my destination. My truck wouldn’t start (had to replace the starter) and turns out, I need new brakes and rotors all around the truck.
Great service. I was in and out. They did a quality job and I will be back. I’ve been looking for some one to handle the work on my vehicle and my wife’s’ and now I have found them.
Lee and his team have been our go-to mechanics for years. They are trustworthy, fair, reasonably priced, and will bend over backwards to ensure you’re in a safe car. They perform our inspections on used cars and have advised me in several situations. This team is skilled and it shows. They are the only shop in town who will tell you the truth and not try to sell you unnecessary work. To us they are like family!
This business was amazing for us! We had two vehicles needing A/C repair and one was fixed right away and so was the other, although it still wasn’t working properly so after contacting them about it we took it back in and the very next business day it was fixed! No extra charge to us and we are so grateful to have A/C now! I HIGHLY recommend this business for your vehicles! Super friendly customer service and fast service!
Bottom line is, my Jeep wasn't fixed. I think they're good people, but they rushed and did a half decent job on my jeep. I hope they correct what should have been fixed because it's still leaking antifreeze & the thermostat wasn't changed, plus the fan is still wobbling & the fan cover is broken still
