Mr Mack & his younger assistant came out today to haul off an old camper for me, to which i spent 3 hours helping them try to put the jacks up because he came without the tools to raise them manually. They/we failed to get the last jack up, after cutting the hydrolic line and beating the jack to ruins.... they proceeded to pack up to leave. They claimed the jack would need to be CUT off with a BLOWTORCH.... Mr Mack then requested that we pay for his time, whilst my mother landed without a home and the old beast was torn apart. I had the jack up within an hour of them leaving with nothing but a hoe and a shovel. I called Tillman's after they left, & TILLMAN's heavy driver was to me and loaded within a two hour time frame. I would highly suggest taing your business elsewhere, his "fair" prices aren't worth the headache. HUGE SHOUT OUT TO TILLMANS TOWING FOR HANDLING THE JOB!!!
I can’t say enough about the shop. The employees are very professional, friendly and courteous. They are also very honest if I might add. I went in thinking I had a major problem and it was something very minor. I will definitely be a returning customer!
State Farm scheduled this company to tow my vehicle that had two flat tires. They contacted me saying they were 10 min out so I could meet them there. I arrived and they weren’t there. They then said it would be another 10 min. I waited and they never showed up. They insistently tried to convince me to leave my key on the tire and leave it or to leave my key in the gas cap and I refused. asked insurance to send out a new tow truck company.
Unfortunately, they sent out the same one. 2 hour later I got a message saying they were on the way and to meet them back there with the key, I arrived and my car was gone. The tow company also never arrived, as if they knew it was no longer there! Car never arrived at the destination. They claim they didn’t pick it up. My car had been listed as stolen.
Called from out of town to schedule a pick up Oliver was very helpful and service was fast, affordable and friendly would recommend for Hopkins South Carolina area👍🏽
If you see this driver on the road please stand clear. He came flying straight at me into a round about to where I has to drive into the raised center of it to keep him from hitting me directly in the passenger side. He was driving well over the speed limit and in very wet rainy conditions and carrying 2 wreaked cars on his truck. Very unsafe. I called to report to the owner and he was highly unprofessional almost arguing with me and never apologized for his drivers recklessness. He left it with “I’ll talk to him” and I’m not confident he will even do that. Stay clear of him to be safe!
If i could give this company a 0 i would ...please whatever you do dont use this man to tow your semi truck...first off he has no fenced in yard to properly store a semi truck and trailer ....secondly which is why im writing this review ...Mr.Mack was called for rotation on a semi truck accident.. the semi truck had only a front steer blowout..and caused bad damage where it had to be towed ... this company arrived at 3:00pm to tow ..had the truck and trailer back at his yard within 3hrs ...we called and ask him to give us a invoice so we could pay out of pocket he refused to do so stated he only deal with insurance companies ...we called the officer and he told macks towing he had to release a invoice it was our choice if we wanted to pay out of pocket.. Macks towing then stated we won't afford the bill which he charged 18k for 3hrs of work unbelievable... the officer had to review the invoice and noticed atleast 1 era was made and had him take off 3500...basically this man is a crook and he pray on trucking companies insurance.l suggest you call cambell's towing best service in town this is not a marketing to promote cambell's its just i have always had a great experience with this cambell's and their fair prices...
Horrible experience. As a business owner to deal with another business and be over charged by thousands is insane. After going to the state troopers head quarters we realized they are only allowed to charge a certain amount per their agreement with being on a rotating schedule from the state troopers for accidents. We requested an itemized bill, in which we were refused. And We also offered to pay cash to have our tractor and trailer sent somewhere else for storage he refused to give us the bill stating he would only accept insurance. When we have the right to pay out right with cash and file it ourselves. He tried to force us to use his friends equipment to unload with also stating that we could not bring anybody on his Remove our load. In which the highway patrol let him know otherwise. We have been waiting on an itemized bill for over six hours. Which now he hast to supply to the state trooper Lieutenant, and then a copy will be provided to us. He is far from honest, he overcharge our insurance by approximately 16,000 dollars which is fraud. For example, he told us a daily storage fee was 100 and When the state of South Carolina has it in the guidelines for $69 per day. Would very much suggest anybody who did business with him to order an itemized list because they definitely might have been over charged. In my photos, I have provided a list by the South Carolina Highway patrol to the guidelines for towing and their price.
I took my truck to Mack boys around sep 17 and l told them it shape when l get up to 55miles. They told me l needed a cv axle l order axle took up there on thur but they were close so a friend brought it back on Monday. They put that part on but it didn’t fix the problem. So buck told my friend l needed bushing and he was going to check the truck but never got back to me so l called about my truck which was up there for over a month asking when its going to be fixed and he told me he was going to check the truck but never looked at it and got mad when l called about my truck and they told me l could come get my truck what kind a of business does this. They should apologize for not honor his word and fix my truck instead of telling me l could come get it. My friend goes to get it and the battery dead for setting so long and he had to charge it after he got it home because it was more important for buck to work on other car that was big jobs and let my truck set so long that why battery was dead. If l could give this company a (-0) l would so sorry don’t honor your word and very poor service. I am a paying customer just like the big ones you should have fix my truck and not let my truck set there and my battery goes dead. Your word should means something but your don’t. I had to click on one but you are a zero sorry.
My tow drive, Chris couldn’t have been more professional and so helpful when my car suddenly stopped while I was driving through Columbia, SC ( I was out of town passing through to my destination). I called my insurance company and Mack’s Towing came to my rescue. It was a Saturday and rental car options were very limited. They towed me to the Nissan dealership and I was very fortunate that Nissan was able to find the problem, fix it and get me on my way.
I want to thank Chris with Mack Towing for being so helpful and kind.
I have had no problems with this company and would like to keep it that way. But my car needs repairs now and I hope to get it taken care of when I get the money I have an old Volvo 2001 that's has more problems than the Law allows and the Lord. Being single with no help I am happy that the men at this shop is willing to help me and they are just like family too me.
Had a tow pickup scheduled through State Farm at 10:22am.
Called Mack's to tell them to wait until after kickoff at Noon to avoid game day traffic, at 1:30pm I called to ask if they were on the way, and they told me I told them "not to come", which is in no way what I said, and I told them traffic was fine now and to go ahead and come, to which he said "okay".
2 minutes later, I get a text from State Farm saying I'm now assigned to a new towing company.
I ended up waiting 7 AND A HALF HOURS to get a tow!
And to add insult to injury, Mack's Towing's text messaging system kept texting me the whole time to "Ensure my vehicle's delivery to the proper tow destination".
I tried to call the company several times to ask them to stop texting, but they would never answer phone, and the voicemail box is full.
The only way I could get the texts to stop was to lie and say they had towed my car to the destination.
I have never dealt with a more idiotic and unprofessional company in my entire life, and I rolled in some pretty shady circles.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! THEY DO NOT GIVE A S**T ABOUT YOU!
After four towing places came and told me they couldn’t help me this was the only business who went above and beyond to help. They got tires and rims to put on my car so it could be towed safely to the repair place. Very professional and friendly service. They have gained a lifelong customer. Highly recommend.
