Sorry for the late review. I'm restoring and modifying an old BMW e46 and had Carolina Automotive install a custom exhaust a couple of months ago. The work was great, plus it was on time and true to the estimate.
I was so impressed with the service at Carolina Automotive! I appreciated the way they listened to my concerns, checked out my vehicle and provided recommendations on what was needed immediately for safety and what services could possibly wait until later. Then once we determined the plan, they took action super fast! I dropped my vehicle off Monday morning and they already had placed new front brakes and new rear tires by lunch time! They are great to work with and I highly recommend for automotive needs.
Had a bad thermostat in my Tahoe, and they were able to get me in the next day. Replaced it within an hour for half the cost anywhere else. They even noticed my faulty tire pressure sensor and replaced that! Great service, great price!
My family has used Carolina Automotive for several years now with several different vehicles. They are so kind, hard working, and honest. We feel so blessed that we found them. They always offer high quality work at a fair prices.
Straight forward, when I asked for an estimate, they gave me a rough estimate. They gave me an appointment, and the work was done quickly and at a reasonable price. I will be using them in the future.
Absolutely phenomenal service and experience. Took my SUV in for air conditioner issues. Incredibly fair pricing and great communication. Will be my first call for all future auto issues.
They used to be the best around but they have slipped. Tire changes from there are great, unless you need to change the tire yourself. They torque the bolts down so tight you can’t get the wheel off with your factory tire tool. I have complained to them before. When you are on a situation and need to change a tire, make sure Carolina checks the torque on their tools before they replace the tires. I mangled my factory tire tool and still couldn’t get the wheel off.
Carolina automotive is truly a business that deserves all the best ratings and recommendations. They run a quality business and show it through their honesty, caring about their customers needs, and the amazing communication with clients. I have been to dealers and mechanics and will never take my cars anywhere else. I fully recommend them...15/10!
This is the second time that I have used Carolina Automotive to service my vehicle. Tony was very informative, ordered the part that was needed for my Nissan Juke. Service was excellent and timely, service is what people expect with courteous and excellent trained mechanics.

Honestly one of the best shops I've ever used. I recently moved to Greenville and was anxious to find a new shop. The team at Carolina Automotive Service was able to fit me in the same day I called after identifying an issue with my car. Their analysis was thorough and done in a timely manner with an extremely reasonable price quote. They fixed my car within the same day and the issue seems to have been resolved.
As a woman, it can often be intimidating to visit an automotive shop. The owner and shop manager went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and explained things in a respectful and informative manner. They even offered to drive me to work so I didn't have to Uber after I dropped my car off. Their willingness to go the extra mile cemented them in as my go to shop in Greenville.
If you need any work done on your car I cannot recommend this shop enough.
I went with a issue with my car after the recent Helena storm. There was no power anywhere around. Tony still welcomed me and made me feel comfortable.Tony and his crew were very professional and caring. I felt like my car issues were addressed and fixed. Will be going back there when I need repairs.
We were able to get an appt within a week. Very friendly service . I took it in at 8am and it was fixed by early afternoon, and a very reasonable price. I will definitely return to them if and when I have car problems.
I went to Carolina Automotive Service of the Upstate for a tune up and an oil change. They were kind and fast and informed me I actually wouldn’t need a tune up until I’m nearing 100,000 miles which saved me money. They were incredibly knowledgeable and all of them just served with a smile! I will be back for any other issues/needs with my car. Thanks so much!
Lowest price by about 250$ that I could find for what I needed done. Got my SUV in SUPER FAST and had it done the same day. Customer service was great. I highly recommend this place! Thanks guys (and lady) for helping me get back on the road.
Allways great service. Tony is fantastic and honest I've taken several of my cars there and they allways take care of me and my car issues. Will continue to take any issues there in the future
Brought car in to get Freon recharged. Took 30 minutes. Now the car gets as cold on setting 1 as it did on setting 3. Also used the 10% discount coupon. Very happy and will return in the future for all my preventative maintenance needs.
This is the second time I’ve used this Team. They go above and beyond and take pride in their work. I’m particular about my junk. Will be using them for all my automotive/truck needs.
Excellent Staff, Communication and Service. Very informative. It took my 2 months to get my 2011 F-150 repaired due to Ford Manufacturing not having a right valve cover gasket. The staff really kept me updated weekly with status information. Thanks!!
Tony was awesome! He explained everything in detail and charged me nothing for a diagnosis. He helped me understand everything clearly and didn’t push to move forward with any labor or parts because it wasn’t needed. He was happy to check on the issue and make sure I was safe to continue driving. Service was also super quick and efficient! I appreciate their team and have definitely found my new car maintenance place!
I was putting air in a very low tire but it was not going to hold. Asked a gentleman while he was pumping gas, "where can I get my tire plugged." "Right up the road, a mile and a half. Ask for Tony. Carolina Automotive." My tire only had two miles of travel left in it. There were customers at the desk and the shop was busy with service work but I was back on the road in an half hour not counting the two minutes to pay a very fair price for that service. I got to my appointment ten minutes early as opposed to not getting there at all. Thanks Tony (and Hope and crew.) P.S. Had good conversations with other customers while waiting. David M.
I asked for a quote for front brake replacement via their website at midnight. I was very amazed that I got reply with a reasonable price at 8 AM in the morning.
The staffs are very friendly and professional. I am very happy with the services. Highly recommended.
Can’t say enough about the awesome work done on my car in an emergency situation traveling from Virginia to Dallas to see my family! Both Tony and Holly were the kindest, sweetest people you ever want to meet! And the work was excellent and done in a short amount of time to get me back on my trip. They even provided a lift to the nearest hotel. I highly recommend using their service for getting your car repairs done!
I took my wife’s vehicle last week for new tires, alignment, and diagnostics of a recent engine light. They had everything completed in one day. Very honest and definitely good prices. I then brought my vehicle in this week for a wheel alignment and tire rotation/balance. Again great service and great pricing. I dropped my vehicle off and picked it back up just a few hours later. I did want to mention that I had scheduled appointments for both vehicles.
I just had my alternator replaced at Carolina Automotive and Tony was great from the start, I called yesterday and got an estimate and called back this morning and he said they would be able to do it today and when I brought it they were able to start on it right away and they stuck to the price they gave me and went above and beyond with service, the owner was really nice and the lady that was at the front desk was really sweet and nice too!! I'm so glad that I finally feel like I found a great mechanic that we can depend on to do their job and not be dishonest and complete jobs when they say it will be finished and do it efficiently. They will be my regular mechanics from now on and I will be recommending them to everyone that I can. Thanks again Tony and company for all that you did!!
I have been to this place four or five times for some pretty major repairs and new tires, etc. I have been extremely impressed with the service they provide, as well as their very fair prices. I switched to Carolina Automotive after going for years to a larger chain, and I’m very glad I did. I have felt each time that I was in good hands. Highly recommend.
