I called this place asking a question. The lady at the receptionist Had a very unpleasant unwelcoming attitude response just not very pleasant. I’m new here first time calling never been there won’t be calling or visiting them. disgusting how people treat each other certain places or businesses. Even something simple like good morning. I got a really bad energy. That’s just on the phone. I don’t want to think how I would be treated going there. 😢 🤔🤦🏽♂️
Scrapped a bunch of copper and brass today prices were fair ladies were nice no complaints will be back.........for any other transplants out there make sure you get a scrap permit in all my years scrapping outta state never needed one to sell scrap or transport stay legal 😉
I got $0.02 per pound for my scrap metal. I had 1500 pounds of scrap metal and walked away with $30. I’ve gone other places before I moved back up here and got almost $2 per pound.
I've used this place on and off for past few years because of convenience. However always felt like I was getting screwed and never once had they given me an itemized receipt with the breakdown of weight and price paid. Was gonna give them another try the other day and called for pricing but after the woman told me 2.25 for number 1 I decided to drive 40 minutes to one in Georgia where I received 3.15 for my number 1. I might woulda left my review to myself had I not decided to read the replies to the negative reviews they received. It's just bad business to argue and disagree with customers because you don't like their honest review. Especially when there's other options to go to that apparently pay way more than these guys.
Been using this place regularly for 20 years. Don't understand the one star reviews. This is an old country scrap yard on the side of a once sleepy road. They don't take aluminum cans and the prices aren't that great, but rather than dump scrap metal for zero, this is the handiest place in the area to pick up a couple of extra bucks for a three minute stop on the way to Metromont. The staff is always friendly and attentive. If the light is on in the window, they'll get to you.
Where do I start, scale is up the road and you have to take a photo of your weight, drive back and upload on the side of the road that is very dangerous because you don't have much room. Then drive back to the scale to take another photo, then back to where you are supposed to get paid. I say supposed because the female at office had no cash. Said said someone went to get change but after 10 mins and her being rude and saying he was still 15 mins away, I got aggravated and loaded my stuff back up. Then my load weighed more at a difference place.
We didn't have a very good experience. There's no area to park, so you have to pull off the edge of the road and duck and dodge traffic. It's very dangerous but I understand there's very little they can do to improve that situation. But the bigger problem was the small amount they were paying out for scrap and the fact that they cheated us on car batteries, aluminum and several radiators. Their price was 4 dollars for every hundred on regular scrap. But keep in mind if you drive 20 miles into Anderson you will get $7.50 on 100 pounds.
My wife called and was gave one price for aluminum.50 a pound when I got there they only gave me .15 a pound out o 1000 pounds that’s a $350 difference
Besides the scale to weigh junk autos would rather go here than anywhere else. And Edward always does best he can on prices for whatever your selling.Never had a real problem with the owner or doing business with them.
Family owned business. Great place to go for the best prices around. To the person who said they were hung up on.....did you call back?? Ever think there was an issue with the phones?? Recently added there own drive on truck scales....see your own weight from inside your vehicle!!
All the staff is friendly and always ready to help and they do so in a timely manner. I have been taking my junk there and even if im not sure what kinda metal i have they let me what is and the saling price. I will continue to use the guys when scraping my junk.
