Not transparent, raised prices multiple times, left out things and just assumed and added it to the tab, and shop manager is not great. Owner MR Ricky was probably the only one I would recommend and he is transparent but no one can seen to give me a call to tell me issues or problems found. Do better people need local shops doing people wrong will make people steer clear!
Daughter bought a car from here...had it a week ...it left her beside the road,they came and got it ,had it for over a month,couldnt figure out what was wrong,had to call a specialist in to fix it and charged her 1100 dollars...i wouldnt recommend them to anybody...rep-off...😡
Charged me over 500 to fix an oil leak ...took it home and it was still leaking but leaking worst than before. Took it back they said it was residual oil that was on the engine. Over a month later it's still leaking and my oil level has gone down....
Known Ricky for most of my life and he really knows what he is doing as well as his shop. If you need something done on your vehicle I would definitely trust him. I will make sure to bring all my vehicles to him. He will make sure your vehicle is working right to safely transport you and your family. I live over an hour away but it’s well worth the drive.
Always a pleasure doing business here, I've trusted Rickey will all my vehicles for as long as I can remember. Honest, easy and fast service. The guys in the shop are courteous and very knowledgeable. I trust them with any job I need done, and will always go to them before any where else. Even living 45 minutes away, I still choose this shop over any others.
Tim and Ricky helped me with my Toyato Avalon as well as my Ford Ranger recently. They were able to find the problem and fixed it with their certified team of mechanics...

I went to NTB for an oil change and was told I needed brakes, pads, rotors and tires for approximately $2000.00. Went to Gilberts for a 2nd opinion. Gilberts told me my brakes, pads and rotors were fine and I just needed new tires soon. Thank you Gilberts for being honest with me. I will always recommend and return to Gilberts.
Tire pressure warning light came on while traveling here in a rental car. Stopped in to have it checked out. They took rental car for drive to check it immediately! Very kind and professional. Turns out there was no problem with the tire and they were able to reset warning light. Very thankful to find this caring company. We would be regular customers if we lived in the area!
I dropped my 02 Toyota Tacoma off and they told me they was behind and it would be a week or so before they got to it. They called me and explained what my truck needed and within 4 days it was complete at a reasonable price Highly recommend their services . I'll definitely be back!
This place is like family, Gilbert Tire and Auto is one of the best shops around town. They took care of me and my car is blowing ice cold again. Tim and Rickey will always put in their 100% effort. Always have patience as you can see they are always backed up on work. For you people out there that rely on online reviews, take this one seriously. I was so impressed with Gilbert Tire & Auto. I took my car in for a noise in the front end. Ricky called me to let me know that it was the struts that were making the noise and that they were fine and did not need to be replaced. He could have charged me the 1005$ to repair it and I would have never known the difference. This is my only auto shop moving forward.
We went to take our truck to get the front end aligned and the people were SO unprofessional. Once they messed the truck up we took it back three time to try and give them a chance to right their wrongs but it still came back horribly worse. We took the truck to someone else and they told us that Gilbert Tire and Auto put the WRONG PARTS ON THE TRUCK ?!?!??! I wish there were zero stars 🙄

Definitely an honest shop. Got estimates for several things I needed fixed. Went to pick car up and price was less than half the estimate. Parts I thought needed replacing they were able to fix - and did.
Been going to a mechanic for over twenty years and he is retiring. He recommended Ricky and his crew as honest and reliable. He was certainly right and we have found a new mechanic. A good day!

I only give this place a 3 because they did not call me first to consult me on how much it would be to fix my vehicle they called me told me how much it cost & they had already done the work they charge $80 an hour. I would give the work they do a 5 because with fixing my transmission problem I now have a working horn & overdrive now works as well
ABSOLUTELY A BACKWOODS SHOP WHO TOLD ME THAT MY MECHANICAL ISSUE WAS MY IMAGINATION , THEN PROCEEDED TO ONLY CHANGE THREE OF MY TIRES BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T HAVE A FOURTH. COST ME ALMOST 300 DOLLARS AND SOLVED NOTHING.
They fixed a major engine problem that has been working great for about six months. They worked hard finding the right parts and cost for my particular needs. Great service. The only issue is that they stay busy.
