They treated me so well here, I hate car stuff and I never felt taken advantage of or like I was an idiot. Cole was especially amazing, he was so kind and helpful! I trust them above any other auto place with my car!
I’m sharing this not to be harsh, but to be real and hopefully help someone else avoid the same stress.
My first experience here was last summer. I came in because I was having alternator issues and was sent away being told they couldn’t figure out what was wrong because it was “running fine”. Not long after that, my car shut off while I was driving on the highway, which was honestly terrifying. I had it towed back and was then told the alternator needed to be replaced, which ended up costing around $700. I accepted it and moved on, assuming things just happen. (I have a 2009 Honda accord and have been told many times that the price was a bit costly but I’m not the professional so I didn’t ask questions)
This most recent visit is what really pushed me to write this. I came in for starting issues and was quoted almost $1,400 for a starter and battery, with the heads-up that after that, they’d need to run another diagnostic and could potentially find even more problems. That felt super defeating, especially since my car isn’t even worth that much.
I decided to get a second opinion and had my car towed to a private mechanic, where I’m now being quoted almost half the price. I understand businesses price things differently, and I’m a business owner myself, so I really try to be empathetic , but when nearly everyone I spoke to (including other mechanics) told me this sounded like way too much, it was hard not to feel taken advantage of.
On top of that, I was still charged $150 for a diagnostic, even though my car is still completely dead due to the starter and had to be towed again anyway. Between that and towing costs, it was just financially exhausting.
Everyone I interacted with was kind, especially Cole, he has been very patient and nice, and I’m not trying to discredit anyone’s work.I just walked away feeling discouraged and honestly pretty defeated , especially as a young woman who doesn’t know a ton about cars and is already struggling to make ends meet.
I’d really encourage anyone with an older car or a tight budget to get a second opinion and look into smaller, local mechanics.
I'm not at all happy with the results from my recent oil change on my G Wagon. Long wait, plus oil hand prints over hood and driver's door. (black car). They should stick to Chevy's not Lux vehicles. My mistake for taking it... last time.
We took our car to Christian Brothers on Woodruff Rd for the first time and were blown away by the incredible customer service! From the very beginning, Cole was great to work with, keeping us informed each step of the way.
Our car needed a part that was on delayed back order through the dealership (no fault of theirs). We talked through some different options and came up with a solution that worked for us. The part finally arrived and they completed the repair quickly.
We will now always bring our vehicles to this location. Highly recommend!

As a single woman, one of the most important aspects of car repair service is trust. I totally trust the team at Christian Brothers to tell me exactly what needs to be done to my car and to complete the repairs at a reasonable cost in a timely manner...excellent service by a friendly and professional staff.
When my wife and kids were stuck with a broke down minivan 500 miles away from home (and me), I only had to think for a moment about how and where to arrange service. I'm a CBA customer in Birmingham AL and quickly found two CBA locations nearby them in the Greenville SC area. A few quick phone calls and we arranged a tow and got the repairs done in a timely manner. No surprises. Same great service. Thanks CBA!
I can’t say enough about Christian Brothers Automotive in Greenville. From the very first phone call, Dustin and the entire team treated me with honesty, patience, and respect. My 2003 Nissan 350Z had major issues that most shops simply didn’t have the knowledge, expertise and/or experience to tackle but Dustin didn’t shy away—he carefully inspected everything, explained the findings in detail, and gave me straightforward guidance about my options.
Instead of pushing unnecessary repairs, they were transparent about the reality: restoring this car would cost more than it was worth, and it wouldn’t be safe for me to drive. That kind of integrity is rare in the auto industry. They could have easily taken my money for piecemeal repairs, but instead, they put my safety first.
As a Catholic mother of a large family, I truly value that their Christian values shine through in how they run their business. My family now considers them our mechanics, and I will recommend them to everyone I know.

I have a 2024 Diesel truck that is still under warranty and have always preferred to go to the dealership but the last time I went to my local GMC for service the experience was very disappointing.
I debated on going to Christian Brothers for Service, but they’ve always done a great job on my wife’s car so I stuck with my appointment and very glad that I did. Everyone was very friendly from the start and explained everything to me even why the price they were charging was justified and it was still much less than GMC. CBA looked up to make sure not only to use the proper weight oil, but also make sure to use the brand that was recommended and made a special trip to go get it. I really liked the detailed report, including pictures of my vehicle as they did their inspection, I highly recommend CBA, I will definitely be back!
My car is my baby, she's nothing fancy but she's mine. I had a mild breakdown over a scary noise it started making and my mom had me call these guys. 24 hours later my baby is back in my driveway making no strange noises! These guys are great, they keep you updated, don't talk to you like you're a dumb girl or try to upsale anything. 10/10 this is my Greenville mechanic!
You can never go wrong with Christian Brothers. They truly live to their values. They are a friendly staff, on time, and keep you comfortable if you need to wait. They have a shuttle if you don’t want to wait to take you home. I really appreciate how clean the inside of the business is and their communication.
I highly suggest an inspection for your vehicle by CBA. They are comprehensive and use a great software that really breaks down information in a layman way. They were incredibly nice, punctual and knowledgeable. Truly a 5/5 experience.
I could not have has a better experience. Had to leave to go out of town that Saturday. They fixed a massive oil leak in the car on Friday. Everyone was wonderful, accommodating and caring. I could give this way beyond more five stars.
I have my car there right now. They have always taken really good care of me and my wife. They let you know what issues they find, provide a quote, and wait for approval prior to starting. I appreciate their patience with me when I try to understand things that are wrong. And, I also appreciate their willingness to not pressure you into a decision.
The guys over here are so friendly. They always go out of their way to help me. I can drop my car off on the weekend and leave the key with them, and they call me when it is ready to pick up. I trust these guys and have seen what great car they take with my car. Their prices seem fair too...they are not greedy but they understandably still make a profit. The staff is nice. I had an obvious problem. The alternator on my car died. They verified that it was the alternator the day after I dropped it off and quickly replaced it. All service was good. No complaints about the people, location, or end result. The only problem is the cost of parts. They replaced my broken alternator with a refurbished aftermarket alternator. The charge for the part was more than the cost of a new OEM alternator. Further, I could easily purchase the exact refurbished alternator online for a fraction the price they charged. Even the bolt they replaced was marked up 5x what it costs to purchase the same bolt from any supply store. Looking at each part, the markup is 300% to 500%. I agree that they should have a markup, but I feel it should be closer to 30%.
Cole and the entire CBA crew have been great. They have worked on each of our family’s cars at some point and always provided great service with upfront costs estimates, and completing the job in a timely manner! They are very trustworthy and provide detailed reports on each car repair. Their professionalism, reliability, and fair pricing are always appreciated!
These guys here are top notch. I have only been for an inspection/alignment so far but I am truly looking forward to using them for the rest of my mechanical needs. They are friendly, genuine, thorough and professional. As soon as you walk in you can tell you are in good hands! Highly recommend!
i’ve been to the CBA in simpsonville several times, today being the first time i’ve come here i’ve gotta say the great hospitality and solid work is absolutely there. CBA is the best company i have ever done business with, i trust them with my vehicle more than i trust anyone else because i KNOW they won’t do me wrong. 10/10 would recommend !!!!
A big shoutout to Cole and Phillip at Christian Brothers Automotive Greenville! I arrived without an appointment, my engine light was on, and there was mysterious smoke coming from my vehicle. The team quickly stepped in to help—they even gave me a ride while they diagnosed my car. They went over the estimate and suggestions with me clearly, and fixed my car the same day!
I can't express how grateful I am for their exceptional service and hospitality. The entire experience was amazing; they made me feel comfortable and handled the situation perfectly. I am so glad I found them! Highly recommend!
Fantastic experience! I went in for an alignment and Cole was great from scheduling to checking out. My Jeep was completed in about an hour. I will not hesitate to use Christian Brothers and highly recommend to everyone!
These guys are fantastic. I took an old 2005 Corvette to them for an inspection and they did not disappoint, and they didn't try to throw parts at the problem.
Their mechanic was knowledgeable, their written and digital reports of my inspection were some of the most thorough I've seen shops use, and they put in the effort to get to know me and the car beyond just hi, bye, here's the total for today. They'll have your back. Oh and Cole is the man.
I'm quite disappointed. Was sent there to check out a problem I encountered with my car over at Discount Tire only to have to come back another day. Then when I got there, was told they didn't want to get involved, nor did they even understand how to cure, what turned out to be a simple fix at another mechanic as just a walk in. They just appear to be a local shop good for oil changes and basic stuff. Maybe shop/ask around first. I'm new to the area and just went there since they did follow-up inspections to work that Discount Tire does incorrectly. I don't think I'd trust them with anything too complicated.
They serviced my Tesla next day alignment before Christmas and gave me a discount for referral fee service from Discount tire! The alignment took less than 2 hours! Guy at the front and over the phone was very nice and communicated well! They have nice pens too! I will be BACK with my Tesla in the future! Thanks for such great service GUYS!!
Had a great experience at Christian Brothers this morning. They were quick to bring my vehicle in, quick to diagnose it, and I ended up with the cheapest car repair bill I've ever had! And I even watched them graciously handle more difficult customer situations. Highly recommend!
I just called Christian Brothers Automotive and they were a blessing I explained out situation and they were nice enough to help my husband who is very ill. When we took our Chevy cruise they immediately called us and they explained everything to us. They have excellent customer services. I would recommend them for sure. They were very reasonable too. I believe the gentleman name is Carl he was so caring for my husband and I. Thank you again May God increase your business for doing the right things for the old folks. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Worked with me on my 05 Silverado. Resealed my leaking engine, installed new headlights and even got some gorgeous headers installed!
Professional staff. Easy to talk and reason with. Patient. Flexible. Pleasant and seemed to me, straight forward and up front. Willing to take me on the shop and show me the issue ahead of fixing it. Transparent. Would highly recommend and will plan my next service with. (TR, Dec 2022)
These guys are honest and helpful. My car was showing a flash engine light which then I had taken to a nearby mechanic and he deleted that code. So the car was no longer showing the engine check light but I came here for diagnosis, in case something is wrong. They checked the car, couldn't find anything wrong so they didn't charge me for anything.
I then ended up getting a fuel intake decarb which was decently priced, and my car noticeably performs better.
Also was offered a nice coffee!
They have my trust now :)
