Nov 2024. The after-Thanksgiving hike crew finished early and made a brief drive to Caesars Head. Wendy Liv+ Josh Rip Zack and me enjoyed the view and took some picks before heading down to Echo Valley for chili dogs.
One of the most breathtaking views, and well worth driving out of your way to visit - only complaint is a minor one, it closes at 6pm so don't expect to catch the sunset here. Bald Rock is open though!
This overlook is spectacular and fairly accessible to most with a wood walkway out to the rock platform. Towards the back of the platform you'll find Devil's Kitchen down a stairway to a narrow pathway through a split in the rock. Ample parking and nice bathrooms. Multiple places to visit nearby as well.
Ceasers head park, the views here are spectacular you can see downtown Greenville and Table Rock, I also got a view of glassy mountain in peakens, great place to visit.
Here at Caesars head state park, Benches and restrooms are available and they also have a gift shop just make sure to come in early or it might be closed but too early might leave you out since the parking gets quite full, have a great day and see ya around.
The view from the overlook is absolutely stunning. The walk takes less than 2 minutes and would be easy for anybody to do. I would very much recommend stopping here to anybody.

Wow, just wow. When I saw the view for the first time my mouth almost hit the floor. It was a gorgeous day and you could see for miles and miles. One of my kids said this was the most beautiful thing he’s ever seen. Anytime I’m in the area from now on, I’ll ride up here JUST for the view.
If it’s 5:00 or later, and you’re lucky enough to get in the parking lot before the entrance is closed an hour early, the staff might “chase you out.” The view is wonderful, but I wouldn’t risk showing up within an hour of the listed closing time.
Had some Family from Florida stop in town for a few days and we drove them up to Ceasers Head to look at the Fall Folage. It never disappoints to visit here. Such a Beautifully maintained Park and the views are incredible. It's usually never very crowded so you can really take your time and enjoy the sights. When you bring out of town people here they always enjoy it. Highly recommend visiting here. And don't forget to donate on your visit so that it remains this way for generations to come.
Absolutely worth the stop. It will take only a few minutes to walk to the view point. The view is incredible when it's clear and still very cool when cloudy. There are bathrooms here, vending machines, and a pretty well stocked visitor center with snacks, gear, postcards, information and more. 100% worth a visit!
