I had a great experience with these guys! They knew what the issue was, could explain it in a way i understood, and they had it fixed the same day. They let me know about future repairs I would need, and they were also super funny and nice to be around. 10/10 will definitely be going back for all my future car repairs!
We have been taking three cars here for years. We have always been cheerfully greeted at our car upon arrival. After diagnosing the vehicle, Taylor has informed us what repairs are required and then offers the repair estimate. Repairs are completed correctly the first time. There have been times when we were in urgent need of having our car returned to us quickly. Taylor has always been able to complete the necessary repairs and return our car in a timely manner.
Great shop and repair center. Amazing staff, very knowledgeable, honest and trustworthy. Got us right in, made the repair and got us back on the road. Highly recommend these guys!!
I’ve been to Planet Automotive 2–3 times now for oil changes, and every experience has been great! They’re always quick but still very thorough, which I really appreciate. As soon as I walk in, everyone is friendly and welcoming — they consistently greet me and make me feel comfortable.
I also love how attentive they are when bringing my car into the shop bay. They really listen for anything out of the ordinary and take the time to make sure everything sounds and looks right. It’s reassuring knowing they’re paying close attention to the details instead of just rushing through the service.

Good evening the guys at planet auto were excellent not only did they diagnose my previous problem. I had another problem going on with the car and that type of work they have gotten out of it for a long time, but he still took time to try to work and figure out what was the problem and it was electrical problem and so I chose not to pursue it anymore because I didn’t want to put too much effort into it, and on top of that, he did all that extra work from the kindness of his heart. Those guys at planet auto are very professional. They really do care about the customers. It’s not always about money.
We have taken 3 different vehicles to Planet Automotive in Johnsonville. Taylor let us know up front the repairs that we needed and the cost. The repairs were made in a timely manner and the vehicles are running good.
They did an amazing job with my car and gave a great detailed report of everything checked and changed for a great price! I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a trust worthy mechanic!
Hardware working gentleman. Somethings I cant work on as a right arm amputee ,dont have time or just have a question and they've been very professional and caring to assist with the problem in the most reasonable way. Absolutely wonderful service, got a brand new set of 35 inch mud terrains at a very good price, quality of work us phenomenal and customer service is fantastic, would highly recommend to anyone for any type of repair.
DO NOT GET REPAIRS HERE. Ok..here you go. I brought my car in back around March, 3800.00 dollars and 6 weeks later I have a new timing chain and a pin of some sort. Over priced but its repaired. Fast forward 3 months, my car is starting to have the same problem. I take it back in for wattanty work. They assure me it won't take as long. 1 month later, they finish take it out for a test run, a code pops up. They find out that there is something wrong with the cam shaft. 2 weeks later another test run, oil light comes on. They claim that the oil intake in the oil pan is pushed up, also I have a bad 'pink' rod in my car and that even if they fix it my car will seize up. This after them having my car for 3 months. This was my only vehicle.
I did a bit of research, in S. Carolina all auto mechanics are REQUIRED to give a full written estimate of all repairs and must be signed off by the owner before any repairs are done. I NEVER, NEVERZ once signed off on any repair. Even my receipt was not itemized. They charge outrageous costs for parts and/or service. They are scammed taking advantage of the small town here. DO NOT GO THERE, EVEN FOR A FLAT! I ended up surrendering my car, why have a car that has been sabotaged by a shady mechanic.
I would not recommend Planet Automotive to anyone. I have been there multiple times to get service and they don't really give you the time of day. You see lots of vehicles up there but if you take time to pay attention to them. It's always the same ones over and over. It took them about hour to change my friends tire. Have stop to get air in my tire only to be told they didn't have any and watch the guy uses the air wrench to change another tire. You can't expect to stay in business like that.
Said it would take 20-25 minutes to put new tire on the rim well there is 3 people so-called working & it was a hour to get the tire changed so no I will not be using them again I used them before & was disappointed & thought it would be different with just a tire but nope
These guys are amazing and truly genuine. You will not find this kind of service at a dealership. I highly recommend them to anyone! They will be the only people working on my Hyundai going forward as Myrtle Beach Hyundai is the worst. Very trustworthy and loyal.

Came to get a tire plugged and aired back up and he took it and fixed it and it’s been doing really good the price was only $19 which is lower than I’ve seen it in awhile but the guy had a good attitude and was very professional definitely gonna be coming back here soon
