Great place with friendly staff. Understand that this is a Fairfield County and not Richland so if you dont pay taxes in Fairfield you will get turned away.
Most of the people that work there are very nice and helpful. However there is one older fellow that sits on the porch and gets paid to do absolutely nothing. My 75 yr old mother goes there and all the gentlemen help her except that one. He's rude and doesn't help with anything except to be lazy and rude. He needs to retire since he can't work and perform his job duties obviously. He doesn't need to work with the public due to the fact he cannot treat people in that manner and he doesn't work at all to help them. I need his job. Get paid to show up!
They are always rude there and Try to interrogate you as though they are guarding national security secrets. I understand it is meant for Fairfield County, however, I have lived here for four years, and shouldn’t have to give my exact location every time I come. Then be grilled, and told it’s only meant for Fairfield County. Meanwhile, I live in Fairfield County, just a mile away from the recycling center
Was told this was a good place to go. The minute I stepped out and started unloading some rude older guy started asking me where I was from and proceeded to tell me I couldn't not dump there! Excuse me? everything was already out of my vehicle I was not going to load it all back in my vehicle. I finished putting everything in the proper containers and glady left as I was still getting yelled at! If you don't live around the corner do not bother with this place!
I just love Mr. Odell and all the other awesome guys at the Ridgeway recycling center! They always help me decipher where to dump what, and lend a helping hand when they’re not too busy. The facility is clean and I always leave with a smile! ?
