I’ve taken my 2013 Jeep Wrangler and my 2019 Chevy Silverado to Cammy at Grooms Automotive, and I’m really happy with the work he’s done. For the Jeep, I needed the timing chain and oil cooler fixed. Other shops wanted to charge me almost $3,000, but Cammy did it for half the price—and he did it right. The Jeep works great now.
For my Silverado, Cammy replaced all four rotors, put on front and rear brake pads (which a lot of shops don’t want to do), and mounted four tires onto rims. He charged me $600 less than other places and still did a better job. Cammy always has fair prices and does great work.
I’ve seen some bad reviews about him, but let’s be real some people are never happy no matter what you do. Sadly, they try to hurt hardworking people like Cammy. From what I’ve seen, he deserves credit for being honest and doing such a good job.
Do not recommend! Took my car in for a part change. Cameron didn’t tighten the lug nuts on front driver side, resulting in my tire coming off and damaging my vehicle horribly. Thank goodness there was no car coming when the tire passed me on the highway.
He then acted like he didn’t do it. After much( too long) accessing the situation, he replaced 2 parts that were ruined. At the moment he still has not fixed the body damage. This has been 2 months. He claims he is looking for my front fender and adjoining parts. I have been to his shop on several occasions ( my mother also) and I have yet to see him work on anything. HE IS THE DEFINITION OF A SHADETREE MECHANIC!!!
Cam was absolutely the best shop I could have been towed to. He explained everything that was wrong thoroughly and called around to get me the best deal for a new/used read end. He did the work in less than a week and charged me very fairly for everything. If you need car repairs, go see Cam. I know I will drive the two hours from Carolina Beach next time I need work done. Very trustworthy shop!
Very kind and respectful we’re from out out town my running board came loose on my truck I was miles from a auto part store snd found this shop on google he was able to fix it no problems
If you're a woman, send your husband! These are nice people, however they will get over. I paid over a $100 for a diagnosis, and in order to have my car fixed I was told I'd have to take it somewhere else, paid them, the other people and towing... Save yourself the headache go somewhere else! I would do -0 stars if I could. They are not as knowledgeable as people think...
