I called this company from Montana willing to pay shop cost and time for the dismantler to pull an oil pan to have sent to me, I was told they will not put the vehicle on the lift for a $100 oil pan I said ok I understand that. I called back asking how much would I need to spend to have the vehicle put on the lift so I can get the oil pan and a few other parts and even offered to buy the entire engine from the vehicle and I was told they will not put the vehicle on the lift to pull the engine that they want $300 for. the lady I spoke to was rude and very unprofessional and I was going to buy both oil pans they have in the yard on the 2 cars they have in that yard. I recommend anyone to find a different yard to find parts from. and btw isn't it a thing of southern hospitality???? that woman was not very hospitable. And I'm only putting a one star because they don't give us an option for negative star reviews...

This place should not be in business. Lacks customer service. They come up with a different excuse everyday as to why they need one more day. Was waiting on an engine for over 2 weeks and every time I call, they either do not pick up the phone or have formulated another excuse to buy more time. Place is a complete SCAM.

DON'T BE LIKE ME! BELIEVE THE REVIEWS! THESE PEOPLE ARE THE ABSOLUTE WORST AND WILL WASTE YOUR TIME! On Wednesday I was told that they could have a transfer case to my shop in GA on Friday. Friday turned into Monday. Monday turned into Tuesday. Wednesday turned into the Friday following the original promised date. Then they actually had the audacity to get mad with me because I was growing impatient! Unfortunately I didn't see their reviews first, but their horrendous phone etiquette (profanity, slurs) should have let me know what I was getting my self into. AVOID CAR GUTS AT ALL COST!

We purchased a Duramax engine from this salvage yard that they claimed had only 20,000 miles on it. After getting the VIN number from the vehicle that it came out of and contacting a GM dealership, we discovered that the vehicle had over 50,000 miles more than 4–5 years ago, meaning the engine had far more miles than what we were told. We made multiple attempts to contact the yard, and when we finally got through, the woman who answered was extremely rude and dismissive. She offered no help, took no accountability, and simply said there was nothing we could do and that there was no warranty. It’s clear the engine was misrepresented so they could charge a higher price. We’re extremely disappointed with the lack of honesty and professionalism. Be very cautious doing business with this company. Verify everything independently before purchasing anything from them.

I ordered parts a month ago. After several phone calls to the office, they kept reassuring me each time that everything would be ready soon. Today they called and told me that the parts are not available. Thanks to this service. Don't waste your time

Will never try to do business with theses clowns again, called about some parts last Monday was told with the rain might take a few days but I informed them I need parts by that Friday and they assured it wouldn’t be an issue, have had to call back up there multiple times and the last few times they say they can’t even find the car the parts are supposed to come off of… what a joke, I called on Thursday last week and got an attitude from the lady on the phone before I could even say anything and I was just wanting update on the parts I had already ordered. Super unprofessional and will not fur fur fill orders properly stay far away from these clowns.

They don't deserve to be in business. They are manipulators,liers, and unreliable. I called 3 times in the span of 2 weeks for a price on a truck frame. Each time I kept getting different answers as to the excuse of why they can't get me a simple quote let alone pull the frame. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE COVID-19 STAY AWAY

We ordered an engine on july 3rd from Cathy. Was told it would take one week for the engine to be removed. After three weeks of waiting, we still have not received our engine and can get in touch with no one for truthful communication. The reviews are real.

we're from Virginia. we were passing through for vacation and planned on pulling a fuel tank. we had been in contact with this company about this specific part for 3 weeks. got there on friday, after telling them we would be there in 5 hours (and notified 3 weeks prior), part hadn't been pulled and the woman was rude and unprofessional. imagine if we had drove 5 hours one way just for this part. at least we were staying in South Carolina already. we were told to call back the morning we leave the state. come to find out they drill holes in their old fuel tanks. they're unusable. awful company that cant do their jobs. I swear this place has to be money laundering or something because they certainly dont actually sell parts.

Can't believe all the negative reviews here. Danielle went way above and beyond to help me out. She called another site when they didn't have what I needed and made that they have what I needed. When I got there it was already sitting out there waiting for me. This girl also really knows her stuff and I would let her run my business any day. I owe you big time!

Absolute waste of time drove an hour and thirty to look at a tailgate that was in good condition and was dented when they removed the part (significantly) asked her what the price would be now since it was originally quoted for 900$ in the shape it was in. This clown said she would knock off 50$ ?. Not to mention she had a terrible attitude the entire time.

To whom it may concern, I bought a Ford 7.3 diesel motor from this auto recycler. As a long time auto recycler for 60 years .The motor I bought came in and the vendor had changed both valve covers. This engine possibly came out of a truck that had engine fire. Whoever installed the new valve cover gaskets had pinched the injector wires which created a short. The engine once started was missing on several cylinders. Upon diagnosis we discovered the problem and had to replace the valve cover gaskets. I sent a copy of the invoice to them for parts only without labor. They would not honor the repairs to keep their engine sold. I lost money on this sale. Auto recyclers stick together and we maintain a friendly and suitable work environment with well produced products; we take care of one another...I wasn't taken care of the way I should have been and ended up paying out of pocket. I paid a total of $142.00 of expenses to complete the motor the way it should have been when I bought it from this auto recycler. Best regards, Don Anderson

Horrible customer service. Called in for a part look up only to be greated with a nasty attitude by a woman employee.owner needs to teach there employees some respect if they want business. When a customer has a question about a part on which side it is u don’t make a comment stating u been in this country 40 years and never heard a question about that . Keep ur smart comments to yourself . I would highly not recommend this place at all .

Called about a driveshaft yes we have it went to pick it up. Waited two hours. No we don’t have that. Sorry don’t waste your time messing with these people. They can’t get their act together better off looking elsewhere, even if it cost more because time is money.

We had a highly disappointing experience with this business. After placing an order for a headlamp on December 26, 2024, the part was never fulfilled. Attempts to follow up were met with a lack of professionalism and communication. When we finally got in touch, the manager, Danielle, responded with unprofessional behavior, raising her voice, and even resorting to cursing before abruptly hanging up. This kind of treatment is unacceptable and far from what anyone should expect when dealing with a business. Their lack of accountability, poor customer service, and unprofessional conduct make it impossible for me to recommend this place to anyone. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere for your automotive needs.

Rarely answer the phone. When they do they say “I’ll send someone out to verify we have the part you’re looking for” I can respect that as I was planning to drive and hour or so to pick it up. I was told they would call me back when the part was located. It’s been a couple weeks with no call. Either their tech got lost in the yard; in which case someone should really go look for them or, they never sent them in the first place. 2 stars cause at least they didn’t waste my time driving down there just to not have my part.

I called Friday May 31, 2024 and spoke to Danielle, I was looking for seats for my car. Danielle said she had them but needed to check and see what condition they were in and would call me back. I never got a callback so Monday morning I called her back and she was very hateful and said there were people ahead of me and she would call back. A few hours later my husband called and Danielle was extremely hateful to him. As he was talking to her she cut him off and said didn't I just speak with your wife and if not it's offer ironic that you're asking for the same thing. Long story short she said she would have to call one of us back. Well as of today June 11, 2024 Danielle has never called me back. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever seen.

I'll be honest. When I seen the reviews, I just about continued my search. BUT.... I'm glad I didn't, over the phone this young lady sounds rude I do admit that. But after being in the office and hearing what she was saying and seeing her reaction. She really isn't being rude. Lol. I think most people think she doesn't have car knowledge or something. But she convinced me and reassured me that she had the correct part in working order on there lot. Something that means a lot when u drive 10 hours round trip like I did. So don't judge a book by its cover, is how I would put it. If I need another part for my truck, she will be the 1st person I call.

Very rude,very hateful. Called 2 days on advance. My wife, daughter and I Drove almost 2 hours one way. Waited 30 minutes just for lady to tell me it was damaged. No apologies. I listened to her belittle customers over the phone while I waited. Made me feel like I was waisting her time. I have been buying parts for 25 years and this is the worst place I have ever encountered. I don't know who owns this place but they need to replace the lady in front with someone who has people skills.

I usually don’t leave reviews but this experience was so bad that I made a promise to myself that I will let people know about the establishment and how they are very unprofessional when it comes to dealing with customers specially Danielle . The experience to started with me talking to Kathy about buying an engine for a 2015 Mitsubishi evolution engine had 8000 miles on it and she told me that it read perfect I did all the proper paperwork for charging my credit card and I talk to her twice and she said that they are working on pulling the engine out of the car and after waiting for five weeks a call and she tells me that the engine is not available anymore and then lets me talk to Danielle which she went off on the phone and started yelling and swearing. I’m happy I didn’t end up buying that engine because I wouldn’t be able to trust the shop or this establishment to spend $4800 on the engine. Think twice before you call them.

STAY FAR AWAY! Reselling motors with known issues and then offering fake replacements! Similar to other reviews, I had an awful experience with this company. Originally called for a Cummins engine (which they've now relisted since it's return) which was 10k$, it turned about to be 11k$ plug a core charge which wasn't listed. I went ahead and tried to proceed, gave them my information and was told I'd be sent some paperwork to fill out shortly. About 4 days goes by and I'd heard nothing, called back and they couldn't remember who I was. Went through the process, was finally sent all the paperwork regarding a warranty to which I promptly sent it back. Waited about 4 days, heard nothing. Called again, "Oh we just got it"? How? It was sent via email. Was told it'd take time to pull the motor, a few days at best. Week went by, called, nobody knew who I was or had seen my paperwork. Called the following day, same runaround. Called for a third time "Oh your motor was just pulled yesterday. We'll sent your the final amount shortly to pay." Two days later, reached out, "Still waiting to pull the motor" huh?? Another day goes by "Please pay us", paid same day "Your motor will ship tomorrow!" Another three days goes by, I'd call, leave messages and nobody would return them. Fourth day I reached out "Your motor is shipping tomorrow" even when I'd be told nearly a week ago the same. Two days later I get a phone call from the shipping company my motor was being delivered the next day. Once again, nothing from CarGuts. Motor showed up looking like the below... it'd clearly been pulled long ago and had been sitting open to the elements. The EGR was wide open, a puddle of water inside. There was rust water leaking from the exhaust, coolant feed for the radiator, and contaminates in the intake. Everything was completely rusted, bolts snapped and sheared, really lovely for 11k$. Attempted to spin the motor, got about half way and it locked up. Could spin it back and it'd get locked at the same point. Took it off the pallet to see the oil pan was crushed. Local mechanic wanted to remove the head to inspect the damage and CarGuts required this to be requested per their warranty. Reached how and Danielle who I had last dealt with became extremely defensive, swearing over the phone that my mechanic was "full of it" and "didn't know what they were doing" threatening to void the warranty if we even attempted it. So I sent it back after much arguing. Took well over a month to receive a refund after they declined the first return shipment, then after they received the motor in person they claimed I never sent it back. Called multiple times and was left with no response until I expressed I'd be involving an attorney. Took another two weeks for them to finally mail out a check, only to receive 75% of the motor's price due to "restocking" (a bad motor at that) and they kept all of the shipping, including the time they declined it. Absolutely awful experience, stray FAR away!

This place is, in a word, terrible. I've had to call 5 times in an attempt to order one part. They said they had it and would ship it. It never arrived. Never received a call. Called back again after a week and a half. They said they didn't have it but they could get it from somewhere local and would ship it out. Never received it AGAIN. Never heard anything AGAIN. Called back AGAIN after another two weeks. Was told they would look into it and call me back within the hour. Called back AGAIN 2 hours later. Spoke to someone who then told me she would email a tracking number to me despite the fact that I haven't received it. When I attempted to emphasize the importance of getting this taken care of as soon as possible, I was hung up on. After calling back, I was told no tracking was available because they were unable to contact the place they ordered the item from. I called back today for another status update and in retaliation for this factual review, I was hung up on after being told they would not ship the part they had already claimed to have shipped. There was not one single attempt to correct any part of this disaster of a transaction. This is by far the most unprofessional auto parts establishment that I have had the displeasure of working with. I cannot even fathom how it could be any worse. Avoid at all costs

Purchased a shifter assembly from this company several years ago, refused to give me my money back, so my business was stuck with it! Attempted to give them another chance, purchased a transmission and it was bad. Attempted for three days to get the manager to contact us back and finally called and my husband spoke w/ a very rude individual. Drove the 1 1/2 hours back to return the transmission only to be rudely greeted. Finally gave our money back, but it was probably only because we went in person. DONE! Will never purchase from them again and wish I had read the negative customer service reviews prior to purchasing anything again.

Horrible service. Ordered part, no communication to say they had it. Took card number and said they would call back before charging it. Received a dirty, stained, unusable part 4 days later. Called to return and wouldn't return my call. Melissa then passed responsibility to someone who quit 2 weeks ago. Another time, David quoted price on a part and never returned my call. Turns out they didn't have the item. Manager said she knew my email for return label, but when questioned, had my first name completely wrong. I will never call again. Got the dirty part on eBay for $25 less, and in like new condition.
