My truck was down and it was my main transportation. I’ve called all around and everybody wanted to charge me $5000. But I called J1 Auto & Transmission repair and with the google rating and the price they gave me, I jumped on it. It didn’t take them no time to do my truck. They picked up my vehicle on April 16, 2025. It is now Oct 15, 2025...6 mo...6 MONTHS! The transmission was removed & that was it! I've been to the shop, I've called & text every other day, but I get no answer nor return calls or text for at least 4 mo. I do not recommend this shop because they could care less about their customers!
Very good service and communication. They helped me when I was in a tight spot and broke down with transmission issues. Even towed my vehicle to and from their shop. I highly recommend them!
This place is a front for something else! A total rip off! They have stolen my car! I live far away and they were to replace my transmission in a week and three months later no car and no communication from them. I’ve driven up twice but no one there. This has caused me much grief. They are such scammers! They don’t know how to fix cars either!
I live about 50 miles from the shop and if I lived even 100 miles from the shop, I would use them anyone that wants to have great service good work should definitely get hold of J1 Auto and transmission. You will not be disappointed.
On a Friday late afternoon I got a flat and rolled in on a donut in a minivan. The place was chaotic, however, they got me in and out in like 30 min total of me arriving! That's fast service!
Stopped in for some air for a leaky tire. We were so relieved to happen upon this place right as our tire quickly lost pressure from a rogue lag bolt stuck between the treads.
MC met us outside in the rain with his air compressor hose and helped us identify the cause of the leak. He gave us enough air to get to our destination before the tire alert went off again. He saved us from being stranded on the side of a flooded coastal road with a car full of children and luggage.
MC was exactly where we needed him when we needed him and we are so grateful!
Had a flat tire on the way to Hilton Head, we had an emergency stop at J1 and they helped us refill our tire in the pouring rain to get us to a tire repair shop a little further down the road. Bless you guys!!!!
My car broke down in the middle of a long roadtrip. They towed my car, found the part I needed and fixed my car within a few hours. They were wonderful and respectful and I am thankful for their services!
J-1 repaired my 1999 Mazda B-3000. It had previously been to another shop to no avail. It was repaired by J-1 and has been shifting flawlessly ever since! Thanks J-1 and team!!
Dont Communicate and don't fix the cars. And talk to you like he dont got ur car i got my wedneday it is friday the same thing thats was wrong with my car is the same thing wrong with it now.

They fraudulently claimed to be open 24 hours. I called to have them fix something simple at 10:31 p.m. and there was no answer. I waited about 2 minutes and called again and you could tell the phone call was manually disconnected. Plus their voicemail system isn't even set up. What kind of business is that? So it looks like someone else will get my money which is fine with me.
We were down for weekend car brakes hung up and we were four hours from home I was so nervous and didn't know what to do and someone recommended j1 he fixed the part he could get in over weekend and unhooked the part that was gonna take longer to get and promised I would make it home I did and so thankful he was so kind some people would have taken advantage of the situation but he didn't would highly recommend him if you are in the area
100% recommend them!!! Jerry was so helpful and he fixed my car so fast thanks to him my family and I were able to get on the road safely. The entire crew that helped me was so helpful and friendly!!! Thank you!!!
We had a wheel bearing go out on our Nissan frontier while we were road tripping across the state. J1 was able to get us in, find the replacement part that afternoon, and get us back on the road that same day. Otherwise we would have been sleeping on the side of the road that evening.

Very unprofessional, after having my truck back for less than 24 hours I had to pay a $130 tow bill to have the truck towed home, was not reimbursed for this Fee. The front office secretary gave no details when called,Had an attitude during every conversation the truck is still giving me issues. Do not take your vehicles there!
This establishment is by far the worst I’ve ever been to. They are unprofessional and never where they are supposed to be. I would not recommend this car place to ANYONE. If I could give a rating lower than 1 star I would.
Had these guys help me with some front end problems. He had me towed order the parts and my car fixed within a couple of hours. I would highly recommend these guys! Very professional and friendly. You can’t beat their honest pricing either!
