I been going to Gansett for years, to have my cars fixed. The guys are wonderful there. Their prices I found to be overall the best around. I been to over places in the past and other mechanics charge a lot more, along with diagnostic fees. I love that they take their time to look over my car. Let me know and show me what’s exactly wrong with my car. I wouldn’t go any other place.
Scammy experience.
I paid $55 for my inspection on 8/7 and another $196 for the repairs they said I needed. When I came back on 8/15, they tried to hand me a new invoice for $200 for the same repairs.
My question was simple: Why charge me for repairs last week if you didn’t do them? Either they took money for work not performed, or they tried to bill me twice. Neither is acceptable. I had to show proof of my payment before they backed off.
I’ll never come back — customers shouldn’t have to fight to not be double-charged.
I am beyond happy with the service. Here is my story; Took my car to Firestone, described the problem.. the took the car; kept it for 5 days, they didn’t fix the problem at all, and charged me a fortune. I kept driving the car, and it got worse and worse. So I took it to these guys. They knew exactly what to do and had the car fixed in less than a full day. Because it wasn’t fixed at Firestone and I kept driving it, it really wore out the part to the point of danger. At that point, an easy job turned into a complicated issue.; but these guys were awesome. Highly skilled, and the tackled the problem quickly. Got the car back, and drove off… and it’s driving great now! I am so happy. Highly recommend these guys. Will be taking my car here from now on. So glad Reddit told me about this place. I didn’t know where to turn for a legit referral on a place. Went to the web.. dug deep… and turns out; this place has been amazing for so many years… and keeps people’s cars running in awesome condition. If I knew how to leave a better review, I would. But I think this is about as clear as I can be. You want your car fixed, and you want real mechanics to fix it. This is your place. Thanks Gansett Auto. I literally just told my family and friends about this place.. now leaving this review. First time I ever had this good of an experience at a mechanic place. What a relief.
These people are definitely honest! Good hard working people and will always be honest, wont have you fix something if it is not necessary I wont bring my car any where else. Go gansett!!
The mechanics here won't take advantage of you. If you don't need a repair they won't try to convince you that you do! My 2004 Toyota is still on the road. Thanks Gansett
I’ve had some issues with my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the guys here always do A+ work and get it done fast! I really respect that they don’t charge you an arm and a leg and are very honest with their prices. Gansett Auto Parts has earned a life long customer in me.
