This is absolutely the best and only scrap yard I'd work with. The staff and owner are awesome! Went there and was able to buy some c channel at a very fair price. I cannot recommend them enough.
I thought the talk was most likely over-hyped, but I am very happy to say I was wrong in that assumption. The crew at J & S are simply excellent. They're a group of hardworking and honest people.
I've dealt with plenty of scrap yards in the past and I don't think I've seen anything like them- ever. Most of the time, scrap yards are full of hard-nosed ballbusters. That's not the case here.
Furthermore, I was shocked to see the price you get for scrap. When I was handed nearly 4-times the amount I was expecting, I thought they made a mistake. In my experience, they absolutely offer the best price for scrap.
All I can say is, keep up the great work Jeff. I'm certain to come by next time I have scrap to recycle and will recommend J & S to anyone else looking to recycle.

Everyone was very friendly, they gave me a fair amount of money and I was in and out with $1100 in my pocket in just a few mins. I was going to a place in N providence but the guy always tried to pay bottom of the barrel prices. J and S is the place to go!!!
Very nice place to go the owner Jeff is a nice person and his work is a very nice I knew most of them for years and never had a problem... they take just about everything.. parking is tight but I go there because it's close to my house in Fast and convenient, I could get a little more money for scrap if I went somewhere else but like I said, its convenient..

Called a day before going just to make sure they took what I needed gone, they told me come on down and once I got there I was pointed where to go, easiest thing ever, I pulled up they unloaded my car we even talked and Joked a bit, definitely will go back for any further scrap needs hands down best scrap experience compared to a few other places !!!!

Jeff & whole crew are great... Helpful, honest, a pleasure to visit with consistency. Other places in RI/MA area are hit or miss, and make it clear they couldn't care less about your business... As if they're doing you a favor! Never had a single snag/issue over dozens of visits to J&S. Hours also set them apart from competition... Other places lock up their gates on you often times early! J&S has longest hours around and give great service with a great attitude & appreciation. These guys work hard and run a tight ship .. I'll never go anywhere else. Jeff was the best!!!! I had hundreds and hundreds of broken HDD parts all disassembled. He patiently dealt with all my questions and responded to my text messages quickly. My husband also commented and said this was the most professional recycling scrap shop he has seen yet! Trust me it was so easy to work with Jeff, just use these guys, they're good people here!
I couldn't have had a better experience, the owner is a great guy, after meeting him once I felt like I knew for ages. No lines, no smells, no dirty looks from workers like some other places (wink wink) and top-notch money, how can you go wrong with that? I'll never go anywhere else now!
I've been coming here for about two years. There are two or three scrapyards closer to me, but J&S is worth the drive.
The owner/manager, Jeff is an absolute pleasure to work with, and all of his staff are friendly and helpful.
They buy metal at competitive prices, and they're always happy to sell me steel and aluminum for all of my silly projects in the garage.
My local metal yard went downhill, and I wont even go there anymore. Jeff at J&S has my business as long as I'm in RI.
Also, I haven't used the services, but they will accommodate bigger transfers, with trucks, bins, pickup, and delivery. Heck, they'll even help you unload your pickup if you ask for a hand.

Man its a tight squeeze backing my service truck onto the scale. But I promise I'll get better..lol..but for real though! Cool group of guys and they always help if you got alot of heavy stuff. Owner gave me a hat and asked me how my arm was.. my own boss don't even ask me that $hit and I work with him everyday..6 stars in my book...

Great place. I scrapped an old catalytic converter for cash. Dealt with Jeff. This is the fourth time I've either bought or sold with them. Prices are always fair or better than the rest and if they dont have what you need they can usually help you find it. Hands down this guy beats the rest!
These guys are amazing and go way above and beyond. The guys here will literally do whatever it takes to find you the part you need. If I had items to sell I would also bring them here just because of their amazing service.
