Omg I love this place! John was amazing & went above and beyond great service! I’m writing him a thank you card as we speak and sending something for him and the office! I was in from California with damage on my rental car, heading back to CT after visiting cousins and backing up into a tree at St. Patrick’s Cemetery after visiting my parents grave there! Was with a good friend who came with me from my high school reunion! John not only fixed the bumper but got us in right away and was extremely fair on the price. He made our day and a good ending to our little getaway. I told anyone I ran into about the place! They get my highest rating! Thank you John! 🫶🏻
I’ve been to Sarges Portsmouth Auto Body twice now, and both experiences have been absolutely outstanding. Joey, John, and the rest of the team are true professionals—extremely friendly, helpful, and dedicated to making sure the job gets done right. They took the time to walk me through the process and made me feel confident my vehicle was in great hands. It’s rare to find a shop where you feel this level of trust and genuine care.
The quality of their work speaks for itself. They handled some minor chip repairs for me, and most recently, they applied Raptor liner paint to the front and rear steel bumpers and the roof of my Jeep. The finish came out flawless—it looks incredible and is exactly what I hoped for. They clearly take pride in their craftsmanship and it shows in every detail. I got into an accident in February and it was an absolute nightmare. After a ton of back and forth with my insurance (which took over a month), my car was finally taken to Sarge’s for repairs. Joey was so kind and helpful during the process, calling with updates and helping me get a rental car for the meantime. My car looks even better than before the accident. I am extremely pleased with Sarge’s work and highly recommend their shop. Hopefully I never have to need an auto repair shop again, but if I did, I would choose them in a heartbeat.
Wonderful job repainting my vehicle the other year. It looks brand new again! Every time I look at it, I smile. Very professional job and customer service.
My RAM1500 is a big vehicle and it gave worse than it got from a relatively minor accident. That being said, the damage was in a corner of the truck so parts were affected on the side and the front. It also shifted a body panel making it difficult to operate the passenger door. Joeys team started peeling the onion back and determined exactly what should be repaired or replaced. Then they returned the truck to me in drivable condition while they ordered parts. So I didn’t lose the use of the truck except for a few days this week. I dropped it off on a Monday and picked it up that Friday. And guess what, it looks awesome, like I just got it home from a detailing. I’ve had repairs done on other vehicles by other shops over the years and you could always tell where the work was done and/or the car was full of body shop dust. Who needs that? Not so at Sarges. 401 Motoring referred me and I see why. Top notch work at Sarges and all I paid was my insurance deductible. I can’t say enough good thing about them. Thank you Sarges!

I stopped by with help removing 2 stuck screws at my license plate .. I got instant help from a terrific employee who took the time to help me no questions asked no money requested.. If they would go the extra mile to help someone who just pulls in - my instincts tells me they are a wonderful honest company!!

My car door was not properly aligned with the body due to an accident. I was quickly given an appointment and just as quickly the repair was made. I now have a go to Auto Body Shop.
Waited several days to have someone come give a quote, then called scheduled a quote. Has to call back to find out they couldn't do the work over $2500 and were backed up months. Wasted a week. Should have said on first call.
I didn't know people like this still exist! We were in a minor car accident while on vacation in Newport. The guy fixed the dent in the front of the car so the passenger door could be opened and removed all scuffs and refused to take any money!
They charge my insurance a bunch of money for parts an labor that was not use on my car after my accident i still can recognize the old parts on my car that was reuse an still state on my pepper works new/replace My wife left the shop in a different color from a black car it was in Pearl black smh then I complain about bringing the car to there shop with heater working an now it’s not working can u help me? There response was we did touch that.... I swear on everything am telling the truth god see on knows
Someone banged into my car mirror and brought me here to fix it.. Within a few days the mirror was in and was fixed within 10 min. Very kind staff !! Highly reccomend
Highly recommend!!! They did a phenomenal job on my vehicle repair at a very reasonable cost!!! Additionally, I asked them to touch up the paint chips and scratches, to which they went above and beyond, making my vehicle look brand new!!! No question they will get my business and recommendation in the future!!!
