Donors Beware! Please read!
I donated my car through Advanced Remarketing Services. I was led to believe the proceeds would go to to my designated charity. First, they took 3 weeks to pick up my car after promising they would pick it up within the week. Second, they like to state that they "give over 80% of the proceeds to your charity". However, they neglect disclose that they will sell your vehicle at an extremely cut rate/discounted wholesale price as cheaply as possible, so that 80% figure is extremely misleading if you assume it is based on the market value of your vehicle! Third, I have requested on multiple occasions for evidence/proof that the proceeds from my car were actually remitted to my chosen charity. To this very minute, my requests have gone unanswered. As a former auditor, THAT is a RED flag!!!! Upon request, they should gladly and promptly provide evidence that the intended recipient actually received the funds, not just a tax receipt on your end. Please do yourself and your designated charity a favor, and find a different organization to process your vehicle donation. Or better yet, sell the vehicle yourself and you donate the proceeds directly to the charity. That way, not only will you be certain they receive the donation, they will receive a much bigger donation than using this company!
Update: Although the company responded to this review, they STILL have not disclosed or sent me ANY proof as to how much they remitted to my chosen charity!! They only provided a "check number", which means nothing without an amount or proof a check was ever remitted. I suspect they are refusing to be forthcoming because they actually do NOT remit the percentage they claim! Again, Donor Beware!!! Stear clear of this organization! I will only update this review if and when I receive the proof I am asking for!

I was told the guy would be here one day and he never showed, despite repeated calls and e-mails.
I sat here all day, waiting for this idiot to show and he couldn’t even bother to call and reschedule.
ZERO respect for YOUR TIME or work schedule.

I wish I'd read the other review regarding the habitat for humanity donation before going that route. This company has given me nothing but the run around. The person I originally talked to was very nice but apparently all the information she gave me was wrong. She told me the wrong time for the pick up. I had to leave work to get the driver the key and title when he showed up 6 hours earlier than scheduled. They then apparently lost the title. After they found the title, a guy called telling me they needed the original lien release. I have a notarized letter of lien release from the lender but never received the original as I moved around the time I paid it off and it was apparently mailed to the old address. The lender assured me that the document should suffice, the state website indicates the letter will suffice, and the original representative told me the letter would suffice, then the driver said he didn't need it, now I'm being told they can't process my vehicle without the original. So now I don't have the car, i don't have the title, and don't know if my donation will ever be processed. I feel like I'm being scammed. The donation receipt doesn't even matter because I'm not wealthy enough for it to impact my taxes, but I saw this as an opportunity to donate to a charity I believe in. Unfortunately I will not be recommending car donation to anyone in the future. Just sell the car and donate the money.

I changed my star rating from 1 to 4 based on the assistance I received from Cheryl. She got me the information I needed. Although it's not resolved yet with Fastrak, it is getting much closer.
I donated a car on January 6th to Habitat for Humanity, ARS manages their auto donation program. I discovered Monday they never completed the auto transfer as they told me they would. I am getting contacted by DMV and have had over $150 in charges to my credit card for tolls associated with this car. It is Wednesday afternoon - I was told Monday someone would contact me ASAP. I have not heard from anyone. This is very disconcerting - not only for the additional charges but I am now LIABLE for a car that who an unethical person is driving around the Bay Area.
Experience was exceptional. I reached out to them about donating my high mileage pick up truck. They took the reins from that point and facilitated the whole process for me. They were very easy to communicate with and followed through with everything they promised. I would definitely recommend their services.
I entrusted Advanced Remarketing Services to do a reputable job in handling my donation toward Habitat for Humanity. Although it was nice communicating with the representatives, it was a terrible experience.
The towing company (South Bay Auto Auction Towing) kept delaying the dates and then when the driver did show up, did not speak English and gave me no receipt regarding the vehicle. (I actually had to call the owner to have him contact the driver to tell him to close the window on the truck when he drove away !!! )
As for the auction house (South Bay Auto Auction): not only did they blatantly lie about the condition of my vehicle but they had such disregard for my donation it made me sick.
When told that my vehicle sold for such a low price - I searched and found that the vehicle was already in another state being sold for the true value (I have no doubt there was some shady stuff going on here)
What is truly sad, that money should have gone to Habitat for Humanity - not some private buyer. That is why I donated the vehicle.

I was really emotional about letting go of my car, but the people I worked with and the process with this company made it easy and comforting. Knowing my car will go to someone that needs it, and the ease and car in which it is done, really made a huge difference. Thank you so much!
I donated a 15 year old high mileage car to Habitat for Humanity in Minneapolis. The process was fairly easy. They sold the vehicle in less than 30 days and I received an IRS form 1098-C for tax purposes in less than 30 days after that so the whole process took less than 2 months. And they managed to sell the vehicle above the blue book trade-in value.
Offered to donate my Toyota Prius to HABITAT FOR HUMANITY. They referred me to ADVANCED REMARKETING SERVICES for Towing to Auctioneer. First scheduled pickup day was cancelled due to Tow Truck breakdown. Scheduled another pickup for next week. Supposed to be here from 12 noon to 4 pm. No Show. I called their office. "Running Late." Waited until 8 pm. Never did show up, nor did they ever call to cancel. Extremely Non-Professional. Don't waste your time with these people.
Her name is Sarah she is a awesome young lady she took care of me when the one Towing Co. was suppose to pickup my Lincoln that I was donating to the DAV (Veterans) in honor of my Dad Friday 12/22/17. The driver was very unprofessional!!! He never called to tell me he couldn't make it. I was up waiting for him till 11:00 pm. Sarah was so nice & helpful to me Re: Lincoln. The new Tow Co. was here in no time today 12/26/17. You deserve 5 Stars Sarah. God Bless you & again Thank you!!
