Josh is awesome. We've taken our VWs to him for various issues that had cropped up, and each time our cars have been fixed properly and the issues never re-occurred. Seeing as how he specializes in VW and Audi, I feel like we truly get dealership quality work at a fraction of the cost. We'll DEFINITELY be continuing our business with him whenever we need repairs. I've been seeing some negative reviews, and for what it's worth none of them reflect the service we receive. He's always been spot-on with correct diagnosis and repair, reasonable pricing, and some issues we've taken to him have been some pretty tricky ones to sort out.

They charge more then dealer's do and manage to do a horrible job. They don't know how to answer the phone nor do they call back. Seems they bite far more then they can Chew. If you want to spend an insane amount of money, then just bring it to a dealer. Atleast you know your car will be repaired properly while also not having to wait months for it to be done...
Had a few aftermarket parts installed a while ago and was happy with how quick I got my car back and the very reasonable price. (About 100 less than expected). Just got another car and will be returning in the near future!
Josh Had my car over 2 months said it was fixed.. it wasnt..took it back.. Charged me $2060. It was throwing codes all over day after I got it back. Took it back to him. He had it 6 more weeks.. He pulled timing chains out of it..said he He replaced them.. then my ENGINE WAS KNOCKING!! THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT WHEN I DROVE IT THERE "TWICE!! BUT HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED AFTER HE CHANGED THE THEM! I got an apology and $1000. Back from his associate.. I put a claim into his insurance ERIE INSURANCE! HE LIED THEY DENIED IT! With No physical investigation of my vehicle..
Called and wanted to set up an appointment to find out why my BMW is leaking fluid in the front. I suspect upper tension strut. Here’s what I was told well we’re going to next week if you can just drop it off and we’ll get to it when we can. I explained I’d like someone to analyze what’s happening to my car. Oh no, he’ll never get to you are you just have to drop it off you’ll get to it when he can, and here are my thoughts that’s not personalized enough for me I’m not gonna drop my car off at home that this guy can take a look at it sometime. Unbelievable.
Josh can figure out any issue other shops just cannot. He fixed my evil german super computer on many occasions. Always came back feeling brand new, highly recommend.
I know this is a family business, and I care about them as people. However my experience as a customer matters and i would want to warn someone.. the wait times here are nuts. Everyone knows it. I figured I would deal with the wait to get my car fixed. My mini coop was at this place for 4 months. When he finally said i could pick it up I paid around $700 because he said it was fixed. Well it wasn't. When i drove it home, i barely made it. The check engine light was still on. Then I discovered one of the headlights wasn't working! BOTH headlights were working when i took it there to the shop. So I returned the car to dreamwerks and he could not figure out why the headlight wasn't working. Once again, I barely made it home as the car is misfiring. I am now going to have to have it towed to another shop, I'm out the money I gave him, and my car is worse than when I took it to dreamwerks in the first place. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone.
Had my Audi put in there at Dreamworks in early 2020 and still has been in the shop, claimed there was no power getting to the ignition and still couldn’t figure it out for almost 3 years. Don’t recommend
Terrible business. Called in April to make an appointment and was told to bring it in may. Could barely drive the car cause it constantly went into limp mode. Drop the vehicle off on the date I was told. Josh and some desk attendant said they would call me in couple days. 5 months later not fixed. Said he put over 50 miles on it and couldn’t get it to act up. But put 1200$ of other parts in it. I picked car up and only 8 miles were put on it. Didn’t even make it a quarter mile and it acted up. Did it 17 times before I got it home at 43 mile drive. I wouldn’t recommend this guy for an oil change. He has more excuses and stories. When the parking lot got 50 dead cars should of been red flag. Hope nobody else gets the great service I got.
They did a great job and actually care about their customers! I took my car to Firestone for and alignment and asked if they could check the ball joints.. they said everything was fine and did and alignment but I knew something was wrong because of the noise. I took it to dream works and they told me it was for sure the ball joint and control are which they repaired that week because of the danger of driving and did awesome job.
do not recommend for audi users, hes had my audi a6 for 2 years now for "no power getting to the starter" and it has been a year since he said that and 2 years since hes had the car!!
These guys are simply the best VW EXPERTS in the area. Creative solutions to issues and able to resolve ANYTHING complex you throw at them! They were able to resolve a door latch issue that VW themselves didn't provide a solution for. They also helped me upgrade my car's AV and safety with a backup camera install giving my car a needed safety/tech upgrade to keep this 10 year old+ vehicle on the road. Love these guys! True car guys and easy to talk to.
I know a bunch of shops, these guys have my highest recommendation. Can work on anything but definitely specialize in European cars, I’ve brought several here. Great prices and really impeccable service. 10 stars.
Josh is the absolute best, hands down! Best mechanic in the area for Volkswagens and European vehicles. His diagnosis is spot on, he never overcharges, and his work is top notch. He's always super busy/booked so you should call ahead of time if you think you need something done. This is THE best place in the tri-county area to take your Volkswagen, and if you don't believe me, call literally any other automotive repair shop in a 50 mile radius for help with your VW and they're gonna tell you to take it to Josh at Dreamwerks.
If you want honest work at a fair price, and you're looking for an expert in European cars, go to Dreamwerks. These guys know what they're doing, and they do it right the first time.
