Place is absolutely worthless. Even when someone is working which seems to be never recently they're rude as hell, cheap as hell and won't take cans 30 mins before closing. Do yourself and favor and head to slippery Rock.
Well it's been a few years since I been there and won't ever go back I took a load of stainless steel and the owner said some of it wasn't stainless cause his magnet stuck to it and when I told him it was all stainless he said WHAT! Do you think my magnet is lying to me. I guess there isn't different grades of stainless steel
Why the negative reviews? all these people who gave 1 star reviews are whiny babies and probably had a bad day before going here and are trying to find the most minor inconveince to give this place a one star review just to get there voice heard. The people in this area seem so fun to be around
Prices are bad and depending on who is running the scale, I feel ripped off. The owner is a scheister. They make up their hours of operation as they please. I was there today, Friday, at 8 am. The gates were closed. Went and had breakfast, back at 9 and the gates were still closed. Friday hrs are supposed to be 8-12. Had many bad experiences and kept going back because they are so local to me. This was the last straw. I would not recommend to anyone
Arrived at 3:05 PM, was pulling in and somebody in a truck backs out and almost hits my car. I shrugged it off and head to the building after I parked, pull on the door and it's locked. Someone yells "Hey buddy, what do you think you're doing?" It's the guy in the truck that almost hit me. I said, "I have cans" he says "Nah, we're closed" and stands there holding the gate open waiting for me to leave. The sign AND google say they're open until 5PM. Honestly glad I didn't give any business to the rude and shady owner because he clearly doesn't need it.
Worst customer service experience I've had in recent memory. As first time customer, the "owner" was rude, impatient, and let an apparently bad day carry over into the way he treated my friend and I.
Even if he would have given us a fair price for the scrap steel, cast iron, copper, and stainless (I don't think he did), I would never return based on the way we were treated. My frustration with this encounter can be put into perspective as this is the first business review I've made in over 10 years on Google.
Bad experience. If you can get past the owner's childish attitude, be pepared to receive the lowest prices around for your metals. It is relatively quick, so two stars.
