I have been back and forth to Reliable since about October with two different vehicles. I began going here after purchasing a vehicle at the shop that shares their building so I figured we would try it out. I have come in with issues ranging from more minor of a turn signal out to the car not starting. With the battery issue, he originally replaced the battery but then within two weeks the car wouldn't start again. I couldn't bring it in. I said at that time that something must be draining the battery. He said no, the starter is bad and to trust him. He knows what he is doing. I had to argue with him to change out the battery as the new battery I had just bought was now dead and said ok to starter. New starter in and the same issue remains. He kept taking the car and would keep it 2 weeks at a time then tell me it was fine. He said he checked modules and there was no power drain and eventually said it was ignition switch. In the meantime, this was over the course of months, the turn signal light went out so I asked him to fix that while had the car. There was also a tire sensor light which I asked about and a check engine light which I asked him to check. He said all good several times and I would get the car back with the same issues present. He drove the car back to my house to drop it off once and as he was leaving he said, "oh yeah and the check engine light came on again as it was coming down the street." A separate time I went to pick it up and turned it on before leaving his lot, the check engine and tire sensor lights were still on and the turn signal was blinking. I went inside and told them. A mechanic came out and pushed on the light and it temporarily stopped blinking and he said, it's ok now. I told them, the car is not fixed. Fix it please and I'll come back. After the ignition switch, the battery was still draining and my husband discovered the issue himself. We now have to still pay someone to fix the tire sensor, check engine issue and turn signal. And I'm pursuing money back for an unnecessary starter. I also took a separate vehicle for a coolant leak which he said he fixed. The coolant was low after that and appeared to still leak but he said just fill it. I must have used it. I recently failed inspection because there was a leak that he just never fixed. The mechanic said it was something he should have been aware of and leak had been present for a while.
Dan and everyone at Reliable auto are absolutely outstanding. They take great care in what they do, they are straight forward, cost aware, and, truly, reliable. I’ve been using reliable for quite a few years now and I’ll never take my car anywhere else.
The local Hyundai dealership told me that I needed a new engine for the cost of $7600.
Dan repaired my engine for a few hundred dollars.

Driver's for the school vans don't like to stop at stop signs in residential where small children are often playing.. pretty ironic that a school transportation literally can't find safe drivers
Dan and his team are top notch! He always gets our work truck back on the road as fast as possible despite how ever many issues it may be having. I've used a few garages over the years and you'll be hard pressed to find a shop that will communicate half as well as Reliable Auto. These guys take care of my work and personal vehicles, you won't find a more honest garage in the area.
Dan is a great guy to deal with, he will tell you honestly what you need and don't need and that's what keeps people coming back to his shop, his honesty!!!

They did a great job with my repairs. (Timing chain and water pump) The car has run the best it ever has since I had it serviced. Only reason i didn't rate 4-star was because they were nice. A little expensive tbh and slow to getting my car (took them a week to get it in the shop while I was using a rental)
They are very wonderful in keeping you updated with what's going on. I just had a transmission replaced and while it took longer than I would have liked. They made sure that the vehicle was running better than when I took it to them. If I ever need any work done on a vehicle that I can't do myself I am going to be giving them my business.
Terrible service. My vehicle took two months to get repaired. Not sure if the work was actually done. No receipts for parts only ones were the ones printed in the shop. I posted this awhile back. After giving it more thought, I was just upset with my vehicle, I got a lemon. I believe that Dan and his staff did the best they could. Yes it took them a long time to figure out what the problem was however my car seems to be running ok now. My apologies to Dan and the staff. Don't listen to my earlier review, like I said I was just upset with the vehicle noand the time it took. I would recommend reliable motor. Ok bunch of guys. Just a little slow

I knew the minute I called Dan that he would get my car in immediately. Less than 24 hrs car was fixed . He dropped me off at my house so I didn't get inconvenienced and instinctively knew I needed a oil change on top of the sensor fixed . Amazing service and his staff were very professional. Dan passed up an opportunity to make a big bunch of money in order to save me a big bunch of money. In addition, he was very clear and thorough in explaining the problem with my Subaru and my options going forward. His work was done well, in a timely fashion and at a very reasonable cost. This is the first time I've dealt with Reliable Auto Repair. The most important thing to me when looking for a mechanic is trust, and finding one I can trust has been historically difficult. I already have more trust in Dan than garage men I have dealt with for years. Thanks, Dan.
Dan's the best. He will work with you always. Extremely friendly. I started coming here when first for my DUI interlock. I had a problem with my car when I first bought it. He went to the dealership I bought it from, picked it up for me because they refused to fix it. Dan diagnosed the car for me and even got it running so I could get to the Ford dealership and worked with me on the $$$$ because of the financial problems I had right after buying it. He's a good guy. He runs an honest shop. I'd recommend anyone to his business.
Dan and his team at Reliable Auto Repair was highly recommended by friends and they rose to the expectation. Dan saved me on a road side emergency and again at a home visit.
I took my car here with overheating problems. My regular mechanic told me that he was sure that it was a bad head gasket but the dealer that I bought the vehicle from told me he would be willing to split the cost of repairs if I brought it to Dan.
First thing Dan tells me is that the head gasket is fine. Over the course of the following weeks, I bring the car back to him with the same problem several times. He replaces the radiator, the thermostat, says he'll check the water pump and timing belt. All the time saying that he can't find the problem.
Months later, I finally save enough money to get my car looked at again by a different mechanic. He tells me straight off that the head gasket is obviously blown. A test confirmed it. He also told me that my timing belt was shot and the water pump was the original one that was put in the car when it was built and that it was a mess.
Dan seemed like a nice guy but I have to wonder why something so obvious as a blown head gasket slipped through the cracks and why my water pump and timing belt seemed neglected. ALWAYS get a second opinion in this kind of thing.
