Such a cute place! Loved the hike nearby. Even in winter it's nice to be by the fire. They went above and beyond and helped us get a fire going. Thanks for the stay! We will be back

A Peaceful and Scenic Hike with a Refreshing Waterfall Mill Creek Falls Trail in Pennsylvania is a hidden gem for nature lovers and casual hikers alike. This moderate trail offers the perfect balance between a relaxing walk and a light challenge, making it great for families, solo hikers, or couples looking for a peaceful outdoor escape. The trail is well-marked and winds through beautiful woodlands, with plenty of shade and natural beauty along the way. You’ll encounter a mix of gentle inclines and flat stretches that keep the hike interesting without being too strenuous. One of the highlights is the functional dam you’ll pass—it’s a unique feature that adds a bit of history and character to the trail. At the end, you’re rewarded with the serene sight and sound of Mill Creek Falls. While it’s not a massive waterfall, it’s beautiful in its own right—a quiet, cascading flow surrounded by mossy rocks and forest greenery. It’s the perfect spot to take a break, snap some photos, or simply sit and enjoy the sounds of nature. Parking is usually easy, and the trail is not overly crowded, which adds to its charm. Be sure to wear good hiking shoes, especially after rain, as some parts can be muddy or a bit slick. Overall, Mill Creek Falls Trail is a lovely, moderate hike that delivers a satisfying mix of forest views, water features, and tranquility. Highly recommended for anyone exploring the Pennsylvania outdoors.

This area was one of our goals for hiking and geocaching. We hiked almost five and a half miles with approximately five hundred feet of ascension. A january fifty degree sunny day. The views were beautiful, and there were several eagles. The locks were interesting, and we enjoyed the history. We rated our hike moderate because we took the upper trail to the falls and not the straight trail to the falls. We did the entire blue loop trail, which has several Topo lines and beautiful views.

A very beautiful, peaceful place. We followed a small water flow with numerous captivating drops over rocks, through moss and fern covered areas.

This hike can be done with small children. It's a relaxing walk along several mini waterfalls and it is just soothing and tranquil. There are areas you can climb down to be able to splash around in the water. I def recommend this place if you are trying to have a stress free, and breath of fresh air!

Took my Toddler, 6 year old and adult child (aka Hub) on this hike. Waterfall was smaller than expected as. We made it to up about 3 switchbacks before realizing that was the fall. Kept going to top of whichever peak is to three right. 6 year old enjoyed leaf sliding down between switchbacks. I would imagine gorgeous during fall. Peaceful and anybody not in a wheelchair (IMO) can make it to see the waterfall.

Beautiful hike. If you start at Lock 12 and head out the tow path you get a nice flat start to warm-up before making the climb up beside the falls.

A great trail that does require a bit of stamina as it is hilly and steep at points. Don't attempt without good shoes that grip well.

We went hiking at the mill creek falls trail this morning, no one else was there so we parked right at the trail and walked until it went up some stairs. It was a nice short trail. It was mostly easy just watch out for rocks and an area or two where the trail has washed away some. Beautiful falls definitely worth the trip.

One of the best places I've hiked in quite awhile. There are miles of trails and waterfalls. You can easily spend a whole day here exploring, you can also kayak here.

Parking is tricky here. Definitely a good spot to hike up along the water and see the falls. The blue trail then has switchbacks up the hill and has some lookouts up there as well.

You’ll be pleasantly surprised by the the beauty of these waterfalls in York county. The trail to the falls is relatively easy and would be great for children and pets. The falls are great to visit any time of the year.

This is a really nice intermediate trail that is good for those that like a small challenge. Awesome for family outings and don’t forget the furry ones.

One of, if not the most picturesque streams in the area. Nice trail for a brisk walk. The small to medium waterfalls offer up relaxing and tranquil sights and sounds. We walk there often.

Fantastic short hike by the dam. The falls are practically right on the road and the climb up is not difficult. Looking forward to coming back in the fall for the foliage. Too bad it's in the middle of nowhere. We ended up parking at the Lock 12 lot. There's a very rocky trail that leads right here or you can just walk along the road.

Nice walk along the creek, was still pretty green even in February. If you keep going up the trail, theres a nice view of the river.

This place is a hidden treasure! It's extremely easy to get to. You can literally see the falls from the road/bridge. It's a beautiful location, especially in the fall! Definitely a must see for York County!
