Since 1964, Joe’s Battery & Tire, LLC. has been serving the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas. We pride ourselves on customer service and satisfaction, striving to make each customer feel comfortable with their decision and the services provided. Owners, Joe and Shirley Hixson, began the business out of their home, but have been at the current location in Allentown since 1967. As we only service and sell batteries and tires, our sales and service departments are experts. Members of the Joe’s Battery & Tire, LLC staff have been trained through the BFGoodrich and Michelin training courses, therefore ensuring you the best service possible. We house a huge selection of Exide batteries, Michelin, BFGoodrich, and Uniroyal tires.

Not only did they give me the best price around, they do free rotations every 7500 miles! Also, while we were there I had my soon to be 3 year old and the owner heard him pointing out all the cars and gave him a match box car to take home! It’s little touches like that to show he really cares about his customers. Thank you!

We have been going to Joe’s for years and I don’t think we are ever going to go anywhere else. Every time we have had a car emergency, they will make sure you feel prioritized and taken care of. When you call, you are treated as an old friend. Their prices are fair, their staff is amazing, 12/10 recommend.
Price is fair, installation was great! Young girl at the counter was pleasant and helpful. Heather, in the garage was rude! For context, I took my mother's vehicle for 4 tires. I told them when I scheduled last week, I had 4 coupons for $10 off $100, and to ring the tires separately. Coupons do not say one per purchase, person or any other restrictions. Go to ring out, the young lady wanted to call the other shop to verify. OK, fine. Turns out the person she needed to speak to was off today. Gentleman asked if he should get Heather? She said no, I'll go talk to her. She went to the garage and asked about it. Door was open and Heather loudly said whatever! You think you would know you can only use one, but im not cheap! I'm not gonna argue!. Well I'm not cheap either! My mother is 82 and on a fixed income! If I can save her a whole $40, off the over $1100 price for 4 tires, I'm going to. Her attitude was horrible and condescending. Not what you expect for a customer service position!
Jeff the owner was extremely pleasant was able to obtain the Cooper tires I wanted in a day and an appointment on the same day!! Very pleasant both he and his wife.
I have been going to Joe's Tire and Battery for a number of years to get new tires, repair flat tires and buy batteries. I have always been satisfied with the prices and with the friendly customer service. I feel compelled to write this positive review because they went above and beyond with a recent issue I experienced, and I feel they should be acknowledged for it. I had a flat tire, but when I installed the spare tire I noticed that the lug bolts were stripping because the threads in the wheel hub of my VW Golf were wearing out. When I brought it in, I was initially told they couldn't fix the problem because they did not have the correct size tool, so I would need to call my mechanic. I received a call the next day from Joe's Tire and Battery and was told that they purchased the tool to fix the issue, so I returned to have it repaired by them the following day. This ended up saving me money, but more importantly, it demonstrated their integrity to finish a job well and their commitment to making customers happy.
Highly recommended this place for all your tire and battery needs. Very friendly, helpful and accommodating.
We dropped off the rig and they quickly installed new tires and checked the brakes.

Came to Joe’s looking to trade a set of stock “takeoff” tires for a more aggressive tire on a new truck. The price for the old tires was more than fair and the price on new tires was also better than most local shops. Tires were swapped out in about an hour with no issues.
As always they are great, knowledgeable, and friendly. They helped me select a tire with specific specs because I was changing the setup on my car. Brought them my wheels. They mounted, balanced and were a better price than others around. I know they treat nice wheels with care and have always treated me well over the years.
This is THE place to go for tires - new or used (barely used, really).
Great prices and the best people, in and out in a half hour for under $60 for a used tire that is close to new.

Had 4 new Goodyears installed. After I got home noticed defects on the tiree from the manufacturer. I brought it back in and they replaced them free of charge due to the tire defect. Good people.
After being broken down with a flat tire on our large toy hauler trailer on interstate 78 and calling at least 12 different tire dealers in the area I called Joe's Battery and tire. Have been using Joe's for years, for boat tires, RV tires, trailer tires, SUV tires, and truck tires. They are always knowledge and fast. They had my new tires on in under 30 minutes. A great place with fast service!
I have been using this shop for tire repairs and replacements for the last 2 years, and I wanted to share my satisfication. If you are located in the Lehigh Valley, I highly recommend this location in Allentown. They also offer free tire rotations every 7500 miles with tire purchase and placement!
After 60 years of being an established business, you know they're reliable. They are also very skilled in Tesla vehicles and stock our tires as well!
Bunch of nasty unprofessional people work here. I don’t recommend this place to no one. They take your money with a smile but after they got your money they are nasty & rude. Then when they are supposed to be working they have a baby in the work area playing with the baby instead of working and charging by the hour to play with a baby. This is an unsafe environment for a baby to be rolling on the floor that cars drive back and forth on. Child services should definitely get involved. Poor baby looked like she was working on the cars. How do you bring a baby to the business when you’re supposed to be working and leaving the baby unattended on the dirty floor. I said something about the baby unattended and the mechanic said who the F am I to be worried about the baby. Beware customers. If you want to get over charged and be disrespected go to joes.. Feel so bad for that baby.
Very pleasant, understood I needed the tire patched quickly. Was in and out in about a half hour! A quick perm patch, inexpensive too!! Will definitely go back.
I had a battery installed last April. I started having problems with the battery not holding a charge and brought it back to have it tested. It turned out the battery was defective and they replaced the battery no questions asked. I had my Receipt for the original transaction they didn’t even ask for it. It was quick and easy. They are a reliable and trustworthy establishment.
Awesome prices and service. 45 minutes for two new tires. Not like the other places that charge you $90 to put two tires on after you buy them. Would highly recommend
Great service! I dropped off a large tractor tire in the morning and they had the new one mounted by early afternoon. Very happy with the price and they saved me a ton of work if I had to try doing it myself.
Great service on a Monday AM after a holiday, and without an appointment. Had my unusual size tires in stock and a couple hundred below the going rate at home in NJ.
I'd totally come back up here (over an hour from home) again.

I highly recommend both locations of Joe’s battery and tire! I have ALWAYS had good experiences. They do good quality work and never try to oversell services. My most recent experience was with Heather. I appreciate your honesty and excellent customer service.
I am beyond pleased with my experience at Joe's. 1963 travel trailer needed new tires and they got me in right away, work was done quick, they showed me things and explained to me along the way and I actually really enjoyed the time I spent there.
I avoid auto shops, it's hard to know what you're going to get but this one experience with Joe's I am absolutely confident you get quality, fast service with a friendly team. Without a doubt tI will be going back to them, and only them, for tire and battery needs.
I truly thank you all for making this a very pleasant experience, by the time the work was done I was more than happy to give my money, it was more than earned for sure!
On 8/18/21 I went to Joe’s to find out why the tire on my daughter’s car kept losing air. She was having to put air in it every couple of days. Since I had her car that day and the fact that she travels far to work I took the opportunity to stop. They were busy & had people waiting right up until closing time. I would be able to return the next morning for repair. He (the manager, wish I knew his name - maybe Joe?) took the time to check it anyway, determined it was serious and had me wait - they would stay and fix it. Not only that, I needed a new tire which was not in stock and had to be brought in from the warehouse. These people were amazing. No derogatory comments, no annoyed or dirty looks, no sighs, just concern for safety. They were polite, courteous and made me feel comfortable even though I was their right before closing “problem child”. It just doesn’t get any better than that. Who would want to go anywhere else?
The guys here are amazing. Came in with a total curveball of an issue; I needed new inner tubes for my motorized mountain board. Not only did we're they able to help me out, but it only took them a few minutes to check out my board, guess the tire size, and literally get it right on the first try. They were cheerful, friendly, and incredibly fast at diagnosing the issue and finding a solution. They even set me up with an extra inner tube for next time, and got me in and out in less than five minutes. I would absolutely trust this place with any of my battery and tire needs, and I'm willing to bet they could handle just about any vehicle if you need a tire fixed. Can't thank you guys enough, I'll be bringing a box of donuts next time I come by!
