Absolutely terrible experience! I called to ask about a part and was met with immediate attitude from the owner. He was rude, impatient, and completely unprofessional - acted like I was bothering him just by calling. I understand it’s a junkyard but basic customer service shouldn’t be too much to expect. Save yourself the headache and take your business elsewhere.
I had a deeply disappointing and frustrating experience with the owner of J and D Auto Recycling. I called to clarify why a part showed up as a match on their website for my vehicle, only to be met with extreme rudeness, condescension, and unprofessional behavior.
I calmly explained that when I searched by vehicle information, a part came up as a match. Upon further inspection, I realized it was due to a mislabeling on their site—the part was listed under the wrong description. Instead of listening or even allowing me to finish explaining, the owner repeatedly talked over me, called me confused, and even accused me of lying. His tone was aggressive, dismissive, and at times, outright hostile.
He said give your number I’ll text you what I’m looking at, When I tried to give my number for him to send a text, he claimed I was being “smart” and argumentative simply because I was speaking quickly—likely because I was shocked by how I was being treated. His entire attitude felt discriminatory, both as a woman and a person of color. I was met with zero respect, and it was clear he had no interest in listening or correcting the mistake on their end.
This kind of behavior is unacceptable for any business, especially one that deals directly with customers. I hope they take this feedback seriously and make the necessary changes in how they treat people.
These guys have saved my bacon (and my wallet) on multiple occasions now! Always quick to find exactly what I need even when I'm after some obscure part, they know exactly what I need! They just got me up and running today for a fraction of new part cost and even faster than they thought they could get my part in, so thank you very much Randy and the whole crew at J&D!
I can't speak to the parts they provide since 3 attempts to contact them failed. I used the form on THEIR website and never received a response to any of them. I finally gave up and will go elsewhere.
This place is our Go to for Autoparts..Whenever need something they will have it or they will find and get for us...Great People to know and do business with....
I do believe it is the only auto junkyard still around. We used to have one in Lancaster PA but that closed several years ago. The one thing I do not like about J&D is that it's not open on Saturdays when shade tree mechanics are working on their cars.
After struggling to find a part for a 2003 Hyundai J&D came through and saved the day. Everyone from calling about it to picking up the part was very helpful and knowledgeable and it was much appreciated. Thank you.
They're good they're helpful and are knowledgeable. I recommend you go there to get your car parts. If they don't have it they'll get it for you and then couple days. I went there to get a computer for my pickup. 91 Chevy pickup truck with a 350 motor inn and they told me it'll be in 2 days. And it will cost me seventy-five bucks. I am pleased and satisfied with those service. That's why I gave him five Stars. If I could I'll give him 10 Stars
Great support and well documented inventory. For my van a relevant part was discontinued by the manufacturer, and no aftermarket was available.
J & D had the used part listed on their website and supported me a lot during the purchase and with international shipment.

Not very good price for buying a vehicle, price was very very low that they gave me for my vehicle and the fact that they only give you Handwritten checks makes it nearly impossible to cash, my bank denied cashing the check because it was handwritten, not to mention they had to Rewrite the check because they used my middle name instead of my first name, glad I checked before I left the lot. Will definitely never sell another vehicle to them for that kind of pricing nor will I be recommending to anyone
Staff is very helpful in finding you what you need and ordering it in if they don’t have it there on site. Staff is easy going and friendly. Have frequented this establishment for many years and will continue to do so.
I was involved in a hit and run car accident. Dodge dealer said replacement drivers mirror would have cost $560.00 but was discontinued. Was advised to call J&D.. Jason was extremely helpful and I got my replacement mirror for $37.00

When I arrived I went to the counter and was pleasantly greeted, they assisted me and pointed me into the right direction for the vehicle I was looking for. After I pulled my part they gave me a bag to put my parts in and were extremely helpful. Prices were good, I will return if I need parts in the future.

I had a great experience; I was told that I would have to pay nearly $600 for the parts for my vehicle brand new and was able to get them for $50 through these guys. They had it done and ready for me the same day, as promised. Not only do they have a lot of hearts to choose from I have them ready on time and at a great price!

Great friendly fast service one of the top notch vehicle junk yards because they have things inventoried so you just call up I don't know what you want and they can have it as early as the next day like a did for me for my 97 Ford Ranger and I needed a rear window sliding glass window they had it for me next day for a great price 75 bucks any time I need anything else I'm going back to them so much better than wandering around a junkyard looking for stuff and then you can't find it spending hours and hours walking getting blisters on your feet or tripping over parts that are laying out in the middle of the walkway where they can drive their loader so much better going here to J & D recycling. They now have a lifelong customer for sure from this day forward
