I couldn’t have been happier with Mike. As careful as could be, like it was his own vehicle. I would be disappointed if someone else has to tow my car. Nice, honest, and friendly!

We had a flat tire on a 40 ft travel trailer on busy 81S. Service team came within 30 minutes and had us back on the road in 5 minutes!! Excellent service from a local company when my Roadside Assistance couldn't find anyone to help.

These workers are honest people who do everything efficiently with fair prices.

Broke down in a semi truck, and these folks within 35 minutes pulled me to their lot and brought my tractor back home to Syracuse. They don't specialize in Semi truck repairs, but they can pull you somewhere that does. They allow your trailer to be dropped across the street so another driver can pick it up. Its got cameras around and police are actively in the area. Great place for service.

Their drivers purposely travel the same speed as the right lane in the passing lane and block traffic for 10+ miles. Why are you driving a tow truck when you don’t know how to drive

Pulled over on road trip without a clue in the world how to refill oil. Duchniks Staff eager to help and got us back on the road free of charge. Extremely fortunate to have pulled off here!!

Bill M was amazing after being stuck for almost 5 hours thankfully OnStar called them and he was there in no time to change my flat tire and get me and my mom home my neighbor was trying to come to our rescue but his car wouldn't start and my insurance kept screwing up everything and sending a tow truck from upstate New York.

Worst customer service ever! My credit card got locked in and would not be release. Neither would the pump allows purchase. I went inside to ask for help and an old man in blue uniform came out, fiddled with the machine and eventually got the card unlocked/released. He inserted my card but still the pump credit card reader would not work. I tried again and the card got locked again. There was an error message about chip reader not working which can sometimes be fixed by wiping the chip and reinserting the card. However, the same problem persisted. So at that point, I told this old guy that the credit card reader perhaps needs fixing since I had just used my card that worked just fine. As soon as I said this, this guy just exploded on me yelling expletives and told me to get gas from elsewhere. He said this in a incredibly menacing/threatening manner and I could have sworn he was about to punch me. I said in a calm low voice to relax and chill and this riled him even more and I just had to get back in the car and leave. As a result, I am now stranded in a middle of highway waiting for road side assistance. Way to go old guy. I think you have an anger issue. Update: After talking to the road side assistant, it became clear that there was no other gas station within 6 miles. This guy knew this but still refused to allow purchase, stranding me in the middle of highway. A nasty piece of work.

Had a good experience with them after experiencing a blowout after hitting a curb. They came quickly and the driver was friendly and efficient

Terrible service. My jeep was overheating and I was able to make it to their service center just to have them tell me they don’t do car repairs on Saturday. Open 24 hours but I guess they just don’t do their job 24 hours. Just go up the road to the next service center and save yourself some time from this worthless place.

I was traveling from Delaware to my home in Canada during a flash flood alert in December 2023. After a fueling stop my car suddenly wouldn't start and I was stranded at a remote area off the 81 North. I called Duchniks and Amy promptly sent a truck and towed back to their shop. Miraculously the car started so I fueled up and drove straight home without ever shutting the car off until then. Of course it works now fine that I'm home but I was really stranded in PA and can't help thanking Amy and the tow driver again. I am a retired 70 old mechanic and have dealt with my towing companies. Prompt service, professional diver, super clean truck and fair prices! Thank you.

I called AAA to have my car towed from PA to NJ at 7:15 in the morning, I was told I would be charged $6 for every mile over 100 miles by AAA and that the distance was roughly 122 miles. When I received my call from Dushniks I was given the price $334. Which included $20 for tolls, along with a 15% credit card fee. When I asked why it was so high he said that it was because the route AAA had sent them was longer and that they were required to use that specific route. As I kept trying to hang up the phone telling this person that I needed to call AAA to figure out what was going on he kept telling me to wait and then tried lowering the price to $250. After i finally escaped, I got on the phone with the AAA supervisor for their Scranton branch who had told me that sometime drivers like to take different routes to avoid traffic and that it was up to them to choose the route. Seems contradicting. The supervisor also said that Dushniks was their best rated AAA dispatch in the area which I find so difficult to believe considering how I was spoken to on the phone. After all of this I finally got a different company to do the exact same job and get it done 6 hours sooner for $151.84. I wouldn’t recommend this company to my worst enemy.

We are so thankful we called Duchniks! We were on our way home to Colorado when our fuel filterwent out. We were hauling a 33 ft travel trailer with a quarter ton 2019 pickup. All the roadside assistants we paid for would not tow both and all the dealerships were 3 to 4 weeks out before they would even look at the pick up! We called Duchniks and they could tow both . Next problem was where to tow them. We said we would call them back once we figured that out. They ended up calling us back with a local diesel mechanic and an offer to let us set up the trailer in their yard! We were back on the road in 48 hours! Their level of kindness and service was second to none!

They deserve 5 stars for their towing service and for their receptionist. The tow truck driver was friendly, helpful, and informative. I didn't get pictures of their truck or him working away, as it was very late at night. But he was great. He even pulled the smashed up deer out of the road so others wouldn't hit it. Their receptionist also went above and beyond what I expected, to help me when I came out to check my vehicle over for personal items and get my license plate. First of all, she helped me try to get the plate off that was stuck on there. Then she went out of her way to assist me with air for a low tire in my rental car. She did not have to do that, but she did. Not to mention, I think it was after closing time. Highly recommend them for towing services.

We were traveling from Niagara Falls, NY back to home near OC, MD. We had a slack tire on our travel trailer. We called ahead and Mr. Duchnik, said to stop in. He put our spare on quickly and professionally. His charge was very reasonable. I hope we don't need road service again, but if we do, I hope its near his station.

I called Duchnik’s as a SOS since I got a flat tire on I-81 in a Hertz rental car. Hertz’s roadside assistance wasn’t answering me for 30 mins!!! When I called Duchnik’s, they said they don’t usually work on rental cars, but I told him I had no other choice and really needed his help. He was so sweet and said he’ll send his guys out ASAP. They got to me within 20 mins AND changed my tire within 5 mins. AMAZING SERVICE!!!! Forever grateful to this place!!!

I can not thank David and his crew enough. David the owner went beyond nice to make sure we were taking care of and his hospitality went above and beyond. Not only did he and his crew tow our car and travel trailer off I-81 in PA but provided us with hook ups so that we were able to spend the night in our trailer to give us time to make the necessary arrangements to get home safely. I can not thank them enough. His kindness helped to ease some of our panic during a very frightening experience.

Base prices were way to high to start off with.Told me my car was totaled, even though it only needed a door replacement.when the owner & I got to my car in his mud field my car had broken glass and other car parts on top of my windshield. He asked to turn my car on to check it then snuck away with the keys to use against me for payment.Treated my new car like trash.thanks for nothing.

Quite honestly some of the best customer service I’ve had in a long time. These guys offered the best assistance in the worst situation - they worked tirelessly in the freezing cold at 2 am until our truck was freed! Quick and competent service. Eternally grateful they were available to help us, and could not recommend them enough!

Response was extremely prompt. Driver was competent, professional, and polite. The entire experience was exceptional. Also the quality of the equipment was impressive. Really appreciate the mechanics of the flatbed truck!

Needed lug nuts off my truck. Paid for service to have him come out, shows up a 1 1/2 hour later. Said You're not covered. Been doing this for 27 years, I get paid anyway. So, I don't care about your problem. 5 Minute job guy walks away says not my problem AAA pays regardless. Customer service at it's finest. Glad I wasn't on the highway with my family. He said he didn't like all the mud on the driveway...said he didn't want to get his shiny rollback all dirty. Family Owned...All he cared about was not helping. My kind of family guy !!!!

We had a tire fly off and ended up on the side road of Interstae 81. We called the state troopers and this towing dispatch came to pick us up. Later after calling the guy named Mike and the receptionist who was totally lost - they quoted us $250 for just putting a spare tire. I later got a call from Mike saying that I had tried to rip him and with him yelling on the phone he billed me $175 for the late night tow. I dont mind the fee but if your a business owner and you forget to bill your client - dont call me saying im a thief . I asked clearly if the $250 was all the price and he earlier said yes. After - when I got to pick up the car - they had my van locked in the garage like if I was a thief and would go and steal it. Plus there was a random cop who I guess was on Duty - watching tv - lol all i can complain about is $450 later i felt insulted with the horrible customer service

Late on a Saturday night, while driving down 81, I had a problem with one of the brake calipers on my car. I got it off the road, into a rest area. I didn’t want to tow it because I was a long way out of town and my family was in the car. So I pulled it apart and figured out what part I needed to fix it. The only problem is that there is absolutely no way to get parts, when you’re on the highway, at night, out of town. I called Duchniks and talked to the owner, Dave. He was extremely helpful. He came up with a solution, on the phone, that allowed me to drive down the road, to his shop. He then came out, pulled the part that I needed off of one of his cars, and put it on mine! Absolutely amazing! What else can I say!

I had two interactions with them in 4 weeks. The first one was 5-star - it was a towing service requested through Honda Roadside Assistance. An owner arrived in timely manner, was very courteous and solved the problem without actual towing. I gave him top scores in a survey. The second interaction was like from a rural thriller. They were called by a police officer (my wife called 911) to recover a car that had got stuck late night on a steep icy country road (my wife had followed navigation directions as she attempted to deliver some high school students (coming back from off-state school trip) back to their homes). The road was a sheet of ice (despite snow long gone in this area) and even new winter tires were hopeless (clearly Scott Twp should close this road or post a warning sign). I drove there to help (parked my other car in a remote location) and tried (without luck) to recover the stuck car myself by covering the ice with sand (brought a bag). When Duchniks arrived (the owner+2 guys), they offered to recover the car for 350$, saying that considering the time (Sunday after midnight) and conditions, everyone else will take over 500$. It was late, I had high school kids waiting in my other car for their belongings (moved them over there carefully) and the stuck car was causing the risk for others – so I said yes. I did not have cash (who carries 350?) and they did not want a check, so they asked if my wife can get/deliver the cash - or no service. As this was not an option, they offered that I can pay with a credit card at their place – I accepted that. As they were preparing for the recovery, I inspected the car damage - found some deep scratches in a front bumper from hitting a bank (high on both sides of this narrow road) and lighter scratches on the rear bumper (I texted my wife with details of my findings). Bumpers were not displaced from the main body. When they started to pull the car using a winch (turning the car 90deg to start, with a belt passing under the front bumper) I heard loud noise of cracking plastic – I asked a guy who was assisting near the car (I was inside following instructions) if the bumper is still in one piece (he said “yes”). Once the car was moved to the safe ground (where a police car and my other car were parked), I did post-recovery inspection. I noticed then that the front bumper was detached from the main body. I said to these guys – “hey, front bumper was detached during winching” (I was not going to do anything about it, just provided customer feedback). These guys immediately started to assault me by throwing slurs and waving their hands in front of my face. All in presence of the police officer and my wife/remaining high school kids. One of these guys (one who attached the hook) was particularly aggressive - yelling at me that I damaged the car myself (partially true) and that I accuse them to avoid paying; that they know people like me, etc. The owner was not better, also throwing slurs and encouraging the police officer to ticket me; he also demanded my credit card to be given to him as a deposit. He reattached the bumper himself, sarcastically making a point that it is all good now. I was expecting the police officer to calm them down, however he surprisingly did not notice this assault and sided with these guys (saying (among other things) to stop argue with them, as he can arrest me for theft). During this whole interaction I kept my hands down, kept my voice low, did not swear and did not make any comments about not paying for the service – I have 4 witnesses and a recording to prove that (my wife started to record when noticed a tense situation). After the police officer wrote down my DL information I followed Duchniks multiple miles to East Benton, so they could charge my credit card. The owner also demanded my DL, saying that he needs a copy of DL for transactions over 100$(?). I told them leaving, that better manners would help their business – the owner stated that they like to swear. Clearly they only care when serving major roadside assistance companies.

I got a flat tire and wasn't able to fix it myself. They sent someone out within 10 minutes (on a snowy Sunday morning) and got it fixed. Excellent service.

Thanks for the directions. There is an easy way to get around the closed 81n on ramp but the living stereotype sitting in a puddle of skoal spit in the service bay says its easier to go miles out of your way south and then sit in construction traffic northbound just to get back to the same spot. Sorry pal, but this is one tourist you didn't get. If this company screws with people just for fun i would hate to see what they would do to someone whose pocket they could get in.

I stopped by last Thursday late afternoon, hoping to get oil change. They told me they can't do it as they already have a car up on their rack. I understood and asked if I can come in Friday morning for oil change. They told me to stop by and see if the rack is free. I asked if they can assure me of the time for me to come in so I can make my plan for the day. They refused to let me know what time to bring the car in. I kept asking for a specific time and they kept telling me to come in and check if the rack is available. I told them how they can do that to any customer who needs to come in for oil change or whatever. They need to work with the customer. The guy (I assume the owner) wave me off and told me to leave. WOW What a great customer service!! I don't recommend anyone to use this garage......
