The company missed my trash for almost two month I called and today the lady was very nice. Explained to me exactly how I can get them to come pick up the 18 bags that they have left behind overtime. I was gonna do exactly that I talked to two trashmen this morning which day and the date is Monday March 9th The gentleman who was driving was a bald white man who was very unpleasant very bad customer service I wish we wouldn’t give people like him our service, but we only have two trash companies. We can go through in my small town off Bainbridge I was very disappointed in the completely bald white man who argued with me that they have been taking our trash this entire time when you can see the trash that is not obviously the case the in the back did not speak English, but was perfectly fine and there was another truck following behind as will that said penn waste very disappointed in the customer service there was another gentleman who did our trash every morning who did a fabulous job. We really appreciated him. Again extremely disappointed with the man driving the truck I’m assuming they were running behind but doesn’t excuse very poor customer service

Congratulations on having such great great employees namely Darby who always has a treat for my 3 German Shepherds and her associate Jordan. You are fortunate to have such loyal and hardworking employees. I also want to say that Ed, Chris, and his associate are great as well. I am 77 and live alone with my dogs and I look forward to seeing them every week. They have become friends . I live in Harrisburg. God bless all of you.

So here we go again. Time to pay the bill and of course, Bill trust is not working, AGAIN! Every time. I will be online forever until it actually goes through. If I mail it, it will probably arrive late because I only received the bill today, and it is due in 11 days. We all know how slow mail delivery can be. If it doesn't arrive on time, there's another 10 bucks added on. I never had this problem when garbage bills were optional and a good burn barrel did the job.

We live on West Street in lewisberry, every time a snowflake falls they skip our trash usually over Thanksgiving and Christmas when you need it most. They claim they can't get in but all of the propane trucks, oil trucks and tow trucks come down the lane the same day. We pay for 52 weeks of service and on average receive approximately 47. They also combine our recycling right into the garbage truck every time.

My borough contacted them and 2 times already this year they have skipped my house and randomly other houses on the block. Their employees are systematically skipping collecting trash! Once it's a mistake.. multiple times is criminal! I have videos! This will not stand. I will sue you!!

While I'm appreciative of all the Penn Waste employees who collect and haul the refuse and recyclables in my neighborhood (3rd Street in Susquehanna Township, Dauphin County), I want to give a special shout-out to one in particular who is always a joy to encounter. Whether it's sunny and hot, cold and windy, rainy, snowy, whatever, Jordan is always smiling and kind. Hauling people's refuse/recyclables all day is hard work, and Jordan has the best attitude, he's professional and he does a great job. It's always a pleasure if I have a minute to say hello to him.

We just wanted to recognize the trash truck operators on the route for our route in New Cumberland. Every week, my children, especially my son, wait for the garage truck to collect our trash. The collectors on our route always wave and beep. It makes my children's day! We are so grateful for their impact on keeping our community clean. They went above and beyond leaving a surprise for my children. The kindness they showed our family will be paid forward. My husband and I want to share our gratitude and shine a light on the hard work and kindness these operators are making on the community.

I would have to say the team is great there. My truck guys who pick up my trash if something falls out they get out and pick it up. Sherry was a great help to making sure everything went smoothly when the guys come and do a big pick up at my house. Thank you.

We wanted to cancel services because we're moving and they said that's not allowed. I can't believe how ridiculous that is. Why should I pay for something I'm not using? If they don't want to worry about taking cans then bringing them back for the new people, they could just have us leave them in the garage and put a note on the route that no trash is to be picked up after a certain date until someone else has the house.

My recyclables have been missed on many different occasions. This past month was also one of them. My phone calls have been met with diversion An empty promises. Today I spoke with Sherrie Who apologized even though she had no wrongdoing and was honest about I would have to wait till next week. I was assured that the situation will be rectified, and I greatly appreciate her time and effort.

They sent a notice saying trash pickup would be a day late in Freedom Hills. Which makes our pick up on Saturday not Friday, then they show up on Friday, after we didn’t put our trash out. Penn Waste is the worst trash carrier in PA.

Penn Waste's service is really slipping. I live in Silver Spring Twp PW now wants you to schedule large item pickup. So I scheduled ithem to pick up my loveseat and got a confirmation on Monday. But they didn't pick it up today as confirmed. You can't speak to a person when you call. All calls go to voicemail. Our pick up day is Friday. Some times they pick up trash on Friday...sometimes not. They might come Saturday they might come Sunday. Some weeks they don't come at all. WTH?!?!?

I am moving to the area soon and called the office. Jennifer was one of the only people at any utility or community office to answer the phone was great to work with!! She gave good information about where I am renting and how I should expect my billing from the landlord. Then later she called me back from the online message I left over the weekend. Trevor and Manny are the best! Both take the time to wave and beep to our daughter. Trevor even gave our daughter a trash truck T-shirt. I wanted to take a moment to share my sincere appreciation for the excellent service and genuine kindness I received today from two of your truck drivers. After dropping my two young daughters off at school, I arrived home to find a delivery placed on a pallet in our driveway. The delivery was not scheduled until this weekend, when my husband would be home, and it was also meant to be brought inside—not left outside. The box weighed approximately 150 pounds and was blocking both our driveway and garage, so I attempted to move it myself. While I was struggling, the two gentlemen who were emptying our trash cans noticed me right away. One asked if I needed help, while the driver signaled to let me know he was coming over. They both got out of the truck and graciously helped move the box just a few feet into the garage. They absolutely did not have to stop or go out of their way to help me—but they did, without hesitation. That small act of kindness made a huge difference for this very tired mama today. Please know how grateful I am, and how much their compassion and willingness to help meant to me. You have truly wonderful employees representing your company.

We have been trying for 3 days to get our trash picked up. Ladies in office keep saying they are checking and will call me but nope nothing. 3 days so far of putting trash out and taking back in each day and night. Unreal, the obviously do not care at all about their customers and they have the nerve to raise rates another 10.00. Goes up every bill cycle Update: manager told is to leave trash out and they would pickup. Day 4 of taking in and out and guess what...no trash pickup!! So frustrating 😫

When I called Penn Waste to speak with customer service I reached a woman named Sherrie; she was quite literally the best phone representative with which I’ve ever dealt. What was an unpleasant task was immediately transformed into a positive experience after a really pleasant conversation. Sherrie resolved my issues & honestly restored a bit of my faith in humanity with her kind disposition. Call & talk to Sherrie, she’ll take great care of you.

Penn Waste was great years ago, they must have changed management. In Peach Bottom Township we have had nothing but issues. They subbed out their trash pickup to Handy Dandy and it hasn't helped. They constantly raise rates while skipping trash days for a week, this has happened probably a dozen times in the past 2 years. They aren't delivering on promised service (breach of contract) and still expect you to pay on time even though they aren't on time with delivery. Our trash should've been on Thursday, Christmas, which means they delay a day to Friday, no big deal. Here it is Monday and still no trash pickup. Where am I supposed to put the extra trash they are willing to pickup next time? My cans are full from the Holidays. Get your crap together Penn Waste. You're only in business because you're a monopoly in York County.

This is the type of business where people only leave reviews if they have a terrible experience. Vast number of people are serviced without any issues, but the reviews are clouded with one-off experiences. Penn Waste has done a great job and has always picked up my bulk-items as well.

On multiple occasions now we have scheduled a large item pick up and it has not been picked up. Most recently today when we scheduled a pick up for a couch that is now sitting at the end of our driveway. On multiple occasions we have had cardboard boxes that are broken down and put together as instructed, that are not picked up. Called customer service who are nice but basically say “we don’t know why it wasn’t picked up”. Penn waste is horrible and unfortunately we have no recourse.

We have had Penn Waste for more than 4 years and at best the service is mediocre. The favorite game that they play is that when they miss a pick up (everyone's trash was collected except ours this week); they tell you they will make a "double pick up" next week. I do not know about the rest of the world but 2 weeks of our trash does not fit in one container, so customer service tells you to leave the bags next to the can and they will pick it all up. The success rate on this happening is 1 out of every 3 times. Then I'm picking up my own trash to put back into the can and it takes the next 2 weeks to catch up. Customer service is average at best. Saying things like we are sorry but we can't send anyone back, but we can do a "double pick up". How happy would they be with smelly trash bags in their garage for the next week? I guess we won't find out because they can't even pick up the trash.

The men I see out there are very kind but I've had my trash skipped twice in the past month or so. First time was a car too close, I understand that (even though it was no closer than usual and not blocking it at all) Second time nothing was in the way I made sure of it. I called them multiple times and left multiple voicemails and never got a call back. So here I am with my trash can piled high and hoping they'll take it all.

This review is specifically for an employee, one of the recycling truck drivers/ helpers. I didn't catch his name, but this morning, 11/14, , my daughter, and I happened to be coming down the stairs, open up the front door and see the truck coming up to our driveway.So we watched and he got out, and he waved smiled and brought my daughter a lollipop.It made our morning, he was so kind and thoughtful.And we really appreciate the hard work that he does for us. Thank you and appreciate you.

Penn waste has become a waste, I've been a customer for 11 years and for the past year my pick up has been rescheduled or canceled more times than it hasn't. Even with all of these pick up issues the price doesnt reflect the lack luster service. I recommend looking into other waste companies as I am currently doing.

Completely unorganized. Keeps charging more for more incompetence. I have residential service. Over the past few years they have been consistently saying they are short staffed and randomly delay pick ups or just skip weeks entirely. One large item is supposed to be included in their service if you schedule it. The first time I scheduled something they couldn’t find the white fridge sitting at the end of my driveway the first week, second week they couldn’t get the truck up to my address even though they pick up there regularly, and I can’t remember why they couldn’t get it the third week but it took a month for them to finally get it. I scheduled a couch to be pick up about 8 months later and they would not get back to me. I had to reach out several times before I could actually schedule something. Now this latest fiasco- my regular pick up, nothing special just bags of trash, they have just skipped for the past two weeks. I called and asked why they said short staffing and that they sent a message that it was getting picked up on a different day and to leave it out. Well that day has now past and surprise- they haven’t picked it up. They also couldn’t agree on when my regular day was supposed to be and kept me on the phone for 15 min while they tried to figure out why it said two different things in their system. So unless you enjoy having your trash out by your curb for weeks on end with no idea when or if it will be picked up- go with someone else

Penn waste started out good when I moved to the area. Recently, (the last 3 weeks) my trash has been missed. I’ve called, as of this date, 4 times. Each time I was told the trash would be taken and each time it hasn’t. Funny enough, last Wednesday, I watched the Penn Waste truck drive directly past my house on my cameras and they still did not pick up the trash they are contractually obligated to take. The first 4 calls I have been extremely respectful trying to get this resolved. Yet, it never seems to. Last Monday, the customer service operator even told me to put the extra bags I couldn’t fit next to the can. Now, the trash has been picked apart by animals and has made a safety hazard to my property. My wife is also extremely allergic to the cats that the left over trash has attracted. I brought this up to the customer service lady on Thursday who then proceeded to give me a horrible attitude in return and then proceeded to tell me they were short staffed. Even though the truck has driven past my property. On Camera. I’ll be calling a 5th time when they open. Stay tuned for an update.

I am only writing this review in the hopes that someone from the company may read it. We pay for 2 trash cans to be removed twice a week. At least every other time they only empty one of the cans. As a result we are constantly dealing with overflowing garbage. Every time this occurs I contact Penn Waste. They say they will take care of it, but no one ever comes to pick up the missed trash. I have asked many times to have a manager or supervisor contact me, yet I never get a call. This is the only trash hauler in Spring Garden Township so there are no other options. Perhaps the worst management and customer service I have ever experienced. Management should be ashamed.

The customer service ladies are great. But the trash and recycling services are horrible. Been a customer for 2 weeks and recycling has only been picked up and emptied half of my can. Large trash can has been on back order for weeks now and have no date of when my new cans will be here. Pay all this money for a half ass job. I have been a customer for over seven years and I have had good service up until now. My garbage can apparently fell into to the garbage truck during a routine pickup. Two weeks later a can was delivered. Upon arrival it is filthy. Debris chunks in the wheels and around the lip of the can. Fluid inside which leaked onto my garage floor. Smelly inside. Mud caked into the wheels. My can of seven years was cleaner. I called and the woman I spoke with was very kind, apologized and said she’d send a new one. Then she calls back and states that they will not be sending a new one because they took a picture of the can and it is ok and that I can clean it. She apologized. I emailed photos and asked for management. No one has yet to contact me. What company would send a filthy garbage can to a customer? Edited to add: After contacting management, sending photos and filing a formal complaint, Penn Waste did exchange this dirty can for a brand new clean can.

If i could give zero stars i would. Garbage and recycling pick up in my complex in Susquehanna township for the past year is unreliable to say the least. Garbage is to be picked up on Thursday, Recycling on Friday. it is hit or miss and if there is a holiday, rain or snow, forget it. Recycling for the community has not been picked up in 2 weeks. Management has addressed the issue but says there hands are tied on what threy can do. Recycling hasn’t been picked up in 2 weeks… pic are of just 2 of the bins in front of my area.
