We called for a tow and the price was definitely the best from the other places we called and they came in less than half an hour. I also appreciated that the driver was really nice in general and he tried to jump the car just in case. Would call again!
Rick was top-notch. He showed up first thing in the morning just like he said he would. The truck was backed in a tricky spot, but he jumped right in and helped me pull it out without hesitation. WOW, HUGE thanks to Rick Sornberger Automotive & Towing, & to Parkers Garage for sending him to help me. Rick got right down on ground w/a few tools, and took the damaged exhaust off, and offered to get rid of it for me. Then he made sure I got back home OK - Rick went above and beyond for $25, Thank You Sir!! (just days b4 this happened, I suddenly lost my bff of 37 years, who was also my mechanic, my garage for all car stuff & I was in a total panic-thx again Rick!)
I am by far thankful for this towing service. I am from out of town and was on my way to Canada. I had a wheel spacer shear snap on my truck. Rick and team was able to quickly fix my truck and get me back on the road. The part that really meant a lot and was greatly apricated was to phone call to make sure my truck was ok and working properly. That is beyond service. I would recommend them to anyone that ask. Its a team like Rick's that truly makes a difference.

Was told I would need new front brakes on next inspection and gave me a quote so "not to surprise me" sure enough my brakes went out a month ahead of next inspection. Rick Sornberger and his team at Rick Sornberger Automotive in Erie, PA are top notch people. They helped my family and I after our minivan started to overheat during an out of town trip. Rick came quickly to our rescue to check out what was going on with our car. After giving us directions on how to get to his shop safely, he led us there, with his tow truck, for further review. His mechanic inspected the car carefully and talked us through our next steps. He even took the time to call a local dealership to find the part we needed. The woman at the front desk was kind and so helpful with our kids who were a bit nervous about driving our car home. What a wonderful shop filled with kind, helpful and knowledgable people. I was rescued by the kindness of Rick Sornberger Automotive. 4 hours into a 6 hour road trip from Michigan to a campsite in Pennsylvania I had a tire blow on my pop-up camper. After working with/waiting on AAA for 6 hours and sitting on the side of the freeway I called Rick Sornberger (after normal business hours) and left a voicemail with a plea for help. Rick called me back and after giving some additional detail determined that he may be able to help. Not only did he come to get our blown tire and spare tire (which was unusable) but he also coordinated getting a new tire on the blown and replacing the missing stem valve from the spare. Within 2 hours of my first call to him I was back on the road and able to make it to my campsite later that night.
Rick is an absolute stand up person who could have charged me an arm and a leg, but gave us a very reasonable price for his above and beyond assistance. He saved the day when AAA fell short. He left his dinner table to save a stranger from Michigan on the side of the freeway when he could have easily ignored my message. If you have a need for roadside assistance in the Erie area, Rick has my full support!
Honestly, this is some of the best customer service I've ever had. After calling for a tow truck my phone died before I was able to give Rick My complete location, he went out looking and eventually found me. He was able to help pinpoint some of the problems with my motorcycle and work with me so that I was able to continue my trip. He was even gracious enough to drive me to a hotel he helped me find at the end of the day. My whole experience with Rick Sornberger automotive was excellent, he went above and beyond what I ever would have expected.

The prices are in-line and comparable with other local private shops. Bravo! It's tough to find a place like this.
These guys towed my car when my transmission went out. Fast, professional, affordable and most importantly (no offense other tow companies) but I didn't feel at all like I was over paying. I was nervous about getting a tow, and in the end, I'm glad I did it. No regrets. Good company.
My electric car needed to be towed. It’s battery was totally discharged (“my bad”). I called Nissan Roadside Assistance and they sent Rick Sornberger. I was very glad they did! Rick was helpful and a really nice guy.
The car was in my garage and would not start, so it could not be shifted into Neutral to push it out. Rick did the problem-solving and safely moved it; loaded it on the tow truck platform and delivered it to my dealer’s service garage.

Outstanding service! The mechanic inspecting my vehicle called to inform me that although my rear breaks would pass, they were very low and should be replaced very soon. He was able to replace the breaks and rotors that afternoon, which was very convenient and most importantly, made my vehicle much safer, especially with bad weather soon arriving.
My car broke down and the owner came to get me! I'm 22 and had no idea what was wrong, he told me right on the spot what the problem was! He arrived so fast I only waited 15 minutes! He was seriously the nicest. if I ever have an issue with my car I'll call Rick's!
This is my first time having to get a tow. I went down the list on Google & couldn’t believe how hard it was to get someone to do it. Until I got to them . They were by far the friendliest & most professional. They had my vehicle picked up & towed to the shop within hr. If this is your first place you come to .... don’t even bother with the others!!!
