This could be a decent shop, but they have some real problems with communication with customers and within their shop with each other. You talk to one person about the plan for your vehicle, but that plan isn't communicated to the rest of their mechanics and before you know it chaos ensues. Never again will we go back after the last debacle.
The response from the shop below is a very one-sided view of the series of events. My husband picked up his vehicle after work one evening because it was left out in their open parking lot on Chester Pike. He incorrectly assumed they were done with the work. He was uncomfortable with his vehicle being left out. He called the next morning and spoke to someone at the shop and was planning to pay at that time, but he found out they weren't done with the vehicle (waiting on parts?). So they didn't ask him to pay and said they would let him know when they were ready for him to bring the truck back in to finish the work. That communication was obviously not made to everyone at their shop and we were then accused of stealing. Talk to your all the mechanics before you go around slandering your customers. As soon as we received notification of an issue with the shop being uncomfortable with us having picked up the vehicle, the bill was paid same day. Nevertheless, the shop owner took it all the way to filing a police report. Total waste of the officers time.
I had a great experience with J&J Auto. From start to finish, they were professional, upfront, and genuinely helpful. They took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I understood what was going on with my vehicle. No pressure, no runaround, just real customer service.

I called to make an appointment to bring in my for an estimate. Spoke with Jen who was nice on the phone, but when I asked her if the estimate would be free she wasn't sure and told me that she would give me a call back in about 15 minutes and that was 2 days ago so IDK.
One of the best automotive shops in the tri-state area amazing service and I will only take my car here!! Their prices are great and the customer service is 10/10. Called them today and they were able to take me in right away. They also educated me on my car so now I know how to keep my car running for long, My car needed a lot done and they took care of it for a great price. Will only be going to them. Very knowledgeable and experienced. The staff is very friendly, kind and just pure gentleman. They have a customer in me for life. 10/10. You’re in good hands here. ?

Very quick and awesome service. Fixed my brakes and rotors at a very great rate and also exchanged all 4 of my tires with new ones for a good deal. Will definitely be coming back in the future!

Was looking to get my car inspected without booking an appointment. I contacted them and the lady was extremely nice enough to look at the schedule and squeezed me right for a morning appointment! The inspection did not take long at all and the customer service was amazing! This was my first time going to this location and I’m happy to say I found a new place that’s convenient and is inexpensive! Thank you guys so much!
So for everyone who is looking for a reliable and trustworthy mechanic and shop in general this is the place to go! I've been going to j&j and taking all of my vehicles there for probably 15 years now and have never once been dissatisfied. Very rarely do you find a mechanic who is so willing to explain everything that is going on with your cars. I highly recommend j&j and have sent all of my family and friends there for years as well. If you are in need of a new auto shop and a new mechanic take a chance head to j&j you won't be disappointed!!
BEWARE
I got my car fixed by J&J Automotive and Tire. When we found out out my car needed a water pump, he stated he never did the job before and it's gonna be a 16-17 hour job and cost over $2k to fix it. So I asked him to get it done. A week later I got the car back finished. About 2 months after I got the car I found out the car motor was hammered. I brought it to a mechanic and they told me that whoever did the water pump never put the timing cover on right. So I brought it to J & J's attention. And even his mechanic stated that it was leaking from the timing cover. The owner basically brushed me off and refused to fix it. Now I have no car because of his incompetence. Beware of the shop because he will lie in court and not follow through with warranties.

I have an older car they had the light in stock and. Said no problem. Dropped it off. They were done and called me to pick it up within a couple hours i was good to go. Cost only $15. they were awesome I would definitely use them again.
The good people at J&J helped me out years ago and the service was A-1. Several years later and the quick and friendly service was just as great as I remembered. J is an honest guy and does solid work. Trust them with your car just as I trust my baby. Thank you a millions times.
I called J & J Auto because I was freaking out and I was referred by a friend so I called and from the phone call to the visit I was treated with the most important thing to me was KINDNESS, and then from there the owner asked me what problems I was having with the car I had at the time I told him so he asked if I could leave it for awhile and they checked out the car and told me exactly what it was and didn’t charge me a cent for their service even though I didn’t fix the car. Now I go there all the time to have my car inspected which I will be calling them tomorrow to see when they can fit me in. It’s Hard To Find Honesty and Loyalty from a car company because nomatter what they have enough business!! So I would NEVER BELIEVE The NEGATIVE Comments Left on this Page!!! That’s just my opinion about J & J!!! ?
If you are looking for honesty and reliability in a mechanic and shop for your car. This is the place you need to go! I’ve been going to this shop for years and I don’t plan on stopping for my car concerns. Honest work by honest people with fair prices; this business isn’t looking to line their pockets and keep it moving. I took my Toyota Avalon here years ago because I needed work done and the work that was done over 5 years ago for my gaskets is still holding up. Jack was a great guy, and his son is no different when it comes to making sure you have piece of mind when you leave the shop. If you need honesty, reliability and care, I advise everyone to come here! I just bought a car they had on their lot and Jack made sure that this was pristine from top to bottom. The car I bought is an 06 Honda Civic and I know this car is going to be with me for a good while. At this repair shop, they don’t make you feel like you are just another number, I truly feel like family and have made a great friend in the process. Word of mouth speaks volumes and I can’t say enough positive things about the people and the work this repair shop provides for its people!
Amazing service! I've been knowing Jack for 5 years and he has NEVER steered me wrong. I've brought cars from him that never ever gave me a problem other than usual car issues. His staff is also amazing. The shop is clean!!!! They work hard, they are knowledgeable, trust worthy, easy going, give you fast reliable service, and the prices are hands down the best! I'm thankful for Jack and J&J auto.
Excellent service. I'm new to the area and disabled. I needed my car inspected and being in the auto business years ago know how some are. It's hard to find someone honest and reasonably priced. This place is both I would highly recommend them. Update as of 7-2-18; I've used them the last 2 years for inspection and got fast honest service. I had a leak and took my car there on 7-2-18. I had to wait a short time and he checked it out and gave me a price for a new radiator. It was very reasonable and they was able to fix it the same day. I would highly recommend Jack and his staff. They are not rip offs and give the great service.
First time here was today. I am always leery about auto shops being a female with no background knowledge on car maintenance. I had to get inspection for my car. They took me right way. Great sense of humor, kid friendly, and quick service.Decent prices as well. I would recommend to anyone. I think this is family owned and they treat you as family when you step through that door.
