Peifer's came to our rescue...twice! Recently we were stranded at the gas pumps at a Sheetz 2 hours away. He made arrangements with our daughter to pick up our other vehicle and hauled it there on the rollback so we could get home.
First time he allowed my husband and dog to ride with him in the cab of the rollback to get home.

Peifer Towing made a bad experience with the Pennsylvania State Police better. Someone had impersonated my landlord and called PSP to report my vehicle as being parked illegally. Without verifying any information from the caller or contacting the owner of the vehicle, PSP had my vehicle removed from it's approved parking spot by Peifer Towing who took it to their lot. After sitting things out with PSP, Peifer was given the approval to release the vehicle to me. The vehicle was not street legal and PSP would not pay Peifer to return the vehicle back to its parking spot from which it never should have been moved from. Peifer understood the position I was in and returned the vehicle back to its spot on its next run through town at no cost to me. I have delt with Peifer Towing a couple of times since then with friends and he had conducted himself in the same honest fair manner with them as he had with me. I would recommend Peifer Towing to anyone stranded on the side of the road or involved in an accident. They have you covered! Thank you for making a bad experience better!

This company is right there at the top of customer service. Todd was more that accommodating to a vehicle that had to be towed over 100 miles from Millersburg, and Ashton, the driver, couldn't have been more professional(and personable) in a somewhat difficult delivery of a pickup truck with an attached snowplow. Thank you all for everything, these are the first people to call for your needs!
I highly recommend Peifer towing and recovery for your towing needs. I ended up in a pinch and had to get my car towed to the shop. My mechanic had explained to the gentleman that towed my vehicle about some of my car issues, and how I have been throwing check after check at parts. After hearing about some of my issues I received a call from Peifer towing offering for me to pay after I received my next paycheck. This alleviated some stress and was very helpful. Not only that but they were prompt in their response time and had my car towed within an hour of me calling. Will definitely be my go-to towing service in the future!

Most recently Peifer’s towed my vehicle from the mechanic to my residence. Always there when needed and has given me peace of mind. These guys are fantastic! Very knowledgeable and very well priced. Typically, when you need a winch out or tow your scared to death to call because you know you're probably going to be price gouged. But not by Peifer's! They are very honest and know their stuff! They are my first call whenever I’m in need and they always impress me. Thank you for all the great work you guys do! I would give Todd ten stars if I could. He moved some large and very heavy equipment for me and it was a great experience from start to finish. He was very professional, easy to reach, a great communicator, and just about the nicest guy you've ever met. He even was trying to figure out how to save me money! Would highly recommend.
On Sunday March 13th our daughter struck a deer on her way back to college. As a result her car was not able to be driven. If you like highly professional, swift, and courteous assistance, Peifer of Millersburg is your choice! We were stranded at 1am in Elizabethville, PA and Peifer took my call, was very kind, and very detailed with the towing costs. They showed up in 30 min after the call and took us home. Best assistance experience ever.
Less than 200 miles from home our truck transmission started acting up. Then the engine symbol came on the dashboard and we had to pull over in Shamokin Dam, Pennsylvania. This happened on Labor Day, of course!!! We contacted Triple A to find a tow truck that would take us home to Seneca Falls, NY but most were closed and no drivers would go out of state. They found a local Chevy dealer but they we’re closed due to the holiday. So in the morning we called Troutmans Chevrolet and they gave us Peifer Towing & Recovery’s phone number to call. What a lifesaver that turned out to be. Todd was wonderful. YES they could tow us to our Chevy dealer in New York. No problem. Ashton was our driver who was super fantastic, knowledgeable and professional. We were treated just like family. Was a great 200 mile ride home with our pickup in tow. They were our lifesavers for sure. I would recommend PEIFER TOWING & RECOVERY if you ever need a tow. Thanks again to everyone there. You’re greatly appreciated.
Todd was awesome. My battery died while driving on I-283S. Todd arrived very fast, and he was able to assist us and get us back on the road within 10 min. He even gave my son and me some cool T-shirts. I highly recommend this company.
My lift on my Tahoe broke as my son was coming down Peters mountain. I call to make sure they had a wide rollback because my Tahoe has wide tires. Which they did they have two. I gave him the address where my son stop, just by luck the owner was heading in that direction he stop to check on my son and to make sure it would fit which it did. Called his drive and sent him on his way. Even called me back to let me know. I strongly recommend them. They went above and beyond what they needed to do. Which I very much appreciate!!!
This business was a God-send! I locked my keys in my car while visiting my parents in Millersburg, so my second set of keys were over an hour away. They picked up the phone right away when I called and let me know they were on another job call but would call me back in 45 minutes to let me know when they could get to me. They ended up getting to me 40 minutes after I placed the call, which I thought was great response time, considering they were on another job when I called them. The man that came to help was very professional, kind, and efficient, and was able to get my car unlocked even though it seemed to be having electrical issues with the unlock button. I wouldn’t hesitate to call them again!
My car broke down in a bad spot on the side of a mountain. I called Peifer and after answering right away, he said he would be on his way within minutes. He arrived promptly, was able to handle the tricky location like a pro, and sent the bill right away. Very impressed and grateful for this service. Highly recommend!
Superb service. After an unfortunate tire poking experience and a little debacle with the roadside people and the other company backed out, these guys came to the literal middle if nowhere and up a mountain to my rescue. My spare naturally turned out to be a dunce, so they loaded my van up and hauled back and plugged me up so I could make it work. It worked! Super friendly and even allowed my pup to steal some lap space.
