Just moved into a new house in PA from CT. Went to PA DMV/PENNDOT in Lancaster to get PA drivers license. Waited 5 hours after driving from Nottingham. There were exhausted elderly people, moms with small children and disabled folks, ALL waiting over 5 hours. A gentleman in a wheelchair waiting almost 6 hours!!!!! WHY…? PENNDOT you can do better! It takes longer in the local PA DMV than to fly to the Caribbean… There is no excuse. The PENNDOT needs a complete reforming as to how they manage the amount of people that walk through their doors. Staff were professional but the process is completely outdated. PENNDOT, it’s 2025 not 1985. To the director of PENNDOT do something about the broken outdated system you have in place. The people of PA deserve better!

My original vehicle title was lost during the delivery process with USPS, and I urgently needed a duplicate. I ended up driving two hours to this location, and to my surprise, the service was incredibly fast and I received the duplicate title in no time.

Slow service, go to lunch and close the window with no one to help. 3 hours just to pay for a service

I drove 2 hours to the location waited 2 hours to get nothing. I needed my title as I was selling my car. The title was transfer into my name 3 days prior. When I arrived I spoke to the lovely reception who informed Me they have a 10 day processing. But she checked the system and told me I was clear and they would print it for a fee.. after I waited I got to the teller who told me she had to ask her supervisor. Both the supervisor and teller had faces to let me know they was not going to help. I asked them since I am at the location where my title is being mailed from can they just check and give it to me. I was turned away. Pa laws and rules suck. I needed it for an emergency situation. Unfortunately nobody answers the phone when you call. I give the lady at the front 5 stars she was only one who treated me as a person and not a number. 10 days processing for something they can print and refused. But had I went to thay location to start with my title would had been handed to me same same day. Smfh

It was a huge pleasure meeting the OG at the reception desk for permits who kept mumbling and asked my friend who was getting a permit if he is deaf. Great customer service.

Registration line #14. Cynthia. I’m writing this as I’m standing in front of her. Waiting for her to stop her conversation with her coworker next to her for her to help me. The coworker as well as a customer. They obviously do not give a shit about your time. This is absolutely ridiculous. I do not understand people, why do you work in customer care if you don’t want to help.

Obviously, nobody can do their job of answering phones. You always have to go in because nobody can answer the phone or any emails back. I’m so sick and tired of playing phone tag with people like do your job. That’s all we ask so we can get our stuff done and we don’t have to worry about bull crap This is so upset. I’m tired of playing phone tag with you people.

This place never operates on time; considering this is the state, you would think it should operate in a timely manner. People actually come in when it’s time to open. They really need to do better. Typically, you should be already set up by the time it’s open.

I am not the only person who read the website stating They were OPEN! My license expires tomorrow! The sign says, See Ya, Tuesday! 1/2/23! So do I risk getting a ticket????

Best experience I've had with DMV in a long time. No wait, Clara was very helpful and friendly. I was there about 10 minutes. Excellent customer service!!!

Being closed on Saturday and Monday for Columbus Day is lame. Ms. Green helped me with my title transfer, and I couldn’t have been happier with her assistance and her appreciation for my dog, Maggie. She even let me bring her inside to meet all the people. Thank you, Ms. Green. You were the highlight of my and Maggie’s day.

Wish I could give 0 or negative stars. Requested a simple (instant) copy of my MVR nearly a week ago. I never received it and nearly a week later and 2 hours on the phone I'm still empty-handed. A whole new level of incompetence/negligence... but what do you expect from a government agency? Congratulations, Penndot!

Plenty of parking, organized, and fast service. I thought I would be there for several hours, I was out in an hour and a half. The staff was helpful and friendly! Thank you for not making it long and miserable.

Bad the older Indian guy there did not understand what we were trying to do . It took him over an hour to transfer two cars over. He had the paper work all messed up . Other then that it was not bad at all

I had to do my dot card renewal here.This place was so packed when I went there.Make sure u are clear in what u wanna do.Was in and out within 15 minutes. If it was for anything else,it coulda took an hour.That’s the only thing I appreciated when I went there. It’s a hike but worth going and they pretty much get u in and out. For any Penn dot services it’s just better to make the trip to the capital. Is just really quicker. If u do ask this in Philly,u will leave steaming hot, because of how u will wait.

Friendly helpful staff. Security and bathrooms available. The place was full with customers around 2:30PM. I had a hour and 15 minute wait.....but I completed what I needed. I recommend going on line and completing you business!

So I just moved here from Florida and for some reason I had to go to 2 locations to get a license and registration because the first location did not service registration so I had to wait at both locations which is forever. Then, after doing my homework and having the right paperwork they were having a system error which is fine. I get it. But the manager scolded one of her employees right in front of me when we know it wasn't her fault. Then I had to wait a total of 4 hours waiting on the system error to correct itself on the second floor. Worst experience ever.

Very quick once you're inside. Waited in line for almost an hour while in the elements. If they would've put up rented tents, it would have gotten 4 stars.

Entertaining people watching. No wait (thankfully)! My service rep actually had a sense of humour! Delightful! Get that with government employees. As the customer, too many times it's like they're doing us a favor. Enjoyed this particular experience. Thank you.

In and out very fast for a Friday. Had to get a title to a vehicle transferred and registered done in a little under an hour thanks to an employee named Anthony. Try to keep in mind the people behind the desk are just doing their job is as customers need to make sure we have the right paperwork filled out correctly

Had to drive all the way to Harrisburg to get a salvage title for our one vehicle, so I was completely dreading this visit. But they had everything running nice and smooth from start to finish while taking all the proper precautions during this pandemic. Our window teller was very helpful and friendly, performing the salvage title in about 3 mins. It was probably the easiest trip to a drivers license center ever!

Hurry up and wait...... They have over 50 windows to serve the tax-payers but only a third of them serve the people, causing unreasonably long wait times. Hours of waiting in a cramped room to get a replacement identification, that is over priced. Fun fact. The prices have more than doubled for most Penn Dot services over the last 15 years. ... And the wait times have more doubled also.

If you pay online for your driver license renewal and receive your photo card in the mail, take a quick left after entering the building and you'll be out of there in minutes. Best DOT experience I've ever had!

The place was completely packed on a Wednesday morning. I thought for sure I would be there for hours but I was wrong. 30 minutes and I renewed my driver's license got my picture taken and was out the door. Really impressed with the speed and efficiency of Harrisburg Penn dot. Keep up the good work ladies and gentlemen.
