This place makes up hours. I have never successfully been able to recycle anything here. Today I checked their website and Google, both said they would be open.
When I arrived they were closed and I was told that they had posted they would be closed on Pennlive. Maybe some of us are not boomers don’t read pennlive. Maybe update your website. Maybe don’t make recycling so hard that instead I just end up going to the dump.

The Dauphin County Recycling Center ( DCRC ) accepts many types of electronic equipment(like TVs) and other items that are recyclable but may not be collected at the curb. With a few exceptions, this is free for all residents of Dauphin County.
They receive styrofoam and many other recyclable waste for free. Instead of dumping these waste with the regular trash. Also, the people receiving the items were very friendly.
1670 S 19th St, Harrisburg, PA 17104 ... This address is the entrance I guess for Saturday, and open until 11am??? Which is Susquehanna Resource Management Complex.... The main address on Cameron St is open until Friday only....Idk why this isn't updated on Google as it is a huge deal to get there at 10 am thinking that's the time they open, when in fact we only have 1 hour left to dump because the correct facility closes at 11am. Nice...
Always polite and friendly when I go there. I dropped off 7 TVs for my church today. They had three of them unloaded before I could even get out of my truck. Hard-working and efficient group of people.
The workers were quick to assist me as I use a cane. Very friendly staff. Nice to see people who dont shy away from work. Appreciated the great service.
Got here at 0700 gate was open to the right loaded in 20min with 20tons and gone love this place. O yea I slide tandems to the rear older docks to help
I've been going here for several years. About a month ago I dropped my TV and took it there. The experience was even better!!! I didn't have to get out of my car. I didn't have to go to the office! I followed the directions and drove directly to the rear. The kind gentlement got it out of the backseat and were amazingly kind. LOVE IT. The experience couldn't have been any better. Give these kind, helpful gentlement a hand and a well deserved thank you. I love the changes.
I like the recycling center. It's a "one stop shop." The only thing I was concerned about were the documents with banking and other personal information -- which were being shredded by prison inmates on work release status. So, for $5.00 a box, I just stood there and watched them shred everything.
