Car was towed. They damaged my vehicle, and because it’s their word against mine they aren’t liable. Only take cash. Like most towers they don’t care about your property.
Because they are closed over the weekend I could not get my car for 3 days, it being towed on Friday. I should not have paid them for all the days because legally they have to give you access to your car when they have it if they charge a day to day rate. Just another pos tow company screwing people in tough spots over illegally denying access to pick up vehicle while charging for days it can’t be accessed.
I stopped at the Harrisburg market for no more than 5 minutes. Came out and driver was leaving with my car.. did not give me anything but a card and sped off without answering any questions.. this was after their hours to start.. driver had to have been sitting there waiting for someone to park and take their car.. almost feels like entrapment..
Ok so from reading all these 1 star reviews… I think it’s time we all hit up the Attorney General’s Office and take the proper legal action to bring these issues to the forefront! This towing company does charge a lot and they are rude & they couldn’t care less! But if we all continue to complain without truly taking action like all of us coming together to report this matter. These inconsiderate individuals will continue to abuse their authority as a towing company! They are ripping people off & sitting back laughing about it daily!!
Change don’t happen overnight but if your persistent enough you’ll make some noise. I’ll be contacting the A.G. Soon! We can’t keep letting these people get over continuously!!!! And I do not care about the response they will leave after reading these! God don’t like ugly!
If there were less of these types of people within our society the world would be a better place it’s unfortunate that this is what their parents have seen them grow up to be to fall short of such high expectations or maybe not much was expected so not much was delivered.
So got my car towed without my knowledge of knowing it was unauthorized parking. Sign was not pointed to the street or in any way intended to show the public that it’s unauthorized. The two jerks would not talk to me or tell me where or when to get it. I walked into a restaurant to get a door dash order for 5 minutes, these soulless freaks tell me to pick it up in the morning so they can charge me more. I was walking to my car, they saw me, they JUST pulled up, and i asked why they are towing me. He said it’s unauthorized parking and said get it tomorrow. They didn’t unload anything yet but told me to grab it tomorrow. The were also very clumsy with handling my car as they would just completely throw the rack at my car carelessly
I’m sorry that you started a business that ended up making you look like soulless predators. Every morning since you took my car illegally, I make it a point to peak outside…you shouldn’t have that kind of power. Too many horrible stories here have one thing in common: you’re wrong. I remember that day, months ago. How you made me walk to your location. How you told me you were giving me back my car because I was crying. You ASKED me for a review, so here it is. The best thing I can say is do better by your community. Do right by that first day you opened. I wouldn’t know what to do with myself if I see all these negative comments about my business. It’s not us! Sure, if we tried to park somewhere and it was wrong, so be it. But to STEAL? No, thank you. Listen for once! You’re supposed to serve your community, not bully us. What you do can be important. How you are doing it is what gets you in the news, either way. I don’t know about you, but I would just be fair. Have the day you deserve.
This company is a scam. They are destroying and ripping people off. They towed my car from the Towne house Apartment complex on 31st March as i had not permit sticker on my front screen because i bought a new car and didn’t transfer the permit to the new one yet. But i have the legal access to the parking lot of Apartment complex as i am legally residing there and paying the parking fees. The car was towed in the morning time.
Today again , just one day later i came with my family and took my toddler in the lap to drop them off at the apartment, i was in the apartment more or less 30 minutes, when i came back my car wasn’t there. I reported to the police. Police said we do not have a y information yet. So the company didn’t even reported to the police’s. Seems like they are getting personal with me. They are preying on my car. Seems like they were waiting for me or targeted my car. As on 31st i told them , i will take legal action. I am leaving this place as soon as possible .
Later police called me that your car had been towed. Tomorrow i have to get ba k my car. These people have contracts with apartments complex. And today’s incident it looks like they have special access to the CCTV camers of these complexes. They are waiting for the right moment to tow the car.
This place illegally tows cars. If there are no towing signs and they towed your car you can actually sue them. If there are no signs saying that towing is enforced and they tow your car file a civil suit and sue them for the cost of the tow, anytime you had to take off work for and for the inconvenience! A “no parking” is not sufficient for a tow. There must be a sign stating that towing is enforced. You can also go back and sue them for previous tows as along as it is within a specific time frame.
They charged me $260 just for towing my car without giving me notice. They scam people each day bored with they life just to rip people off and make contracts with people apartments just to make money off of them because they have nothing else to do but stealing people money. They deserve all bad reviews for this and their business will be gone.
Charging $260 for towing my car for less than an HOUR! A complete scam and the owner is BEYOND DISRESPECTFUL!!! He literally got smart with me and threatened to leave my car there overnight while he leaves to go home and I had a child with me! Shut this place down!
Owner is very unprofessional, disrespectful & needs his lunch, apparently he’s not hisself when he’s hungry. Morals and manners goes out the window and operates business with a cold heart, very disappointed. Can’t expect blessings like that, do better! Typical towing place just out to get over on locals, lie to you, and over charge for a quick 300$. Highly doubt any accountability or self reflection will take place in the near future but i will pray for them.
This place is a complete scam. Unnecessarily towing hard working people cars. They towed my husband's car on a Sunday for taking up 2 parking spots saying they had a picture and everything. His car wasnt blocking anyone else wasnt blocking a drive way. None of the above mon-fri following that Sunday atleast 4 cars were "taking up 2 parking spots" every single day. I watched them patrol our area Friday around 630pm and once again there were 4 cars "double parked" and the tow truck just drove right by. SO IF YOU ARE GOING TO TOW BECAUSE A VEHICLE IS TAKING UP 2 SPOTS THEN YOU SHOULD BE DOING THAT EVERY SINGLE DAY YOU ARE PATROLING EVERY CAR EVERY TIME AND NOT WHEN YALL FUNDS ARE LOW FOR THE DAY!
Unprofessional, absolute nightmare to deal with these people. The guy chewed on the mouthpiece of a vape pen and laughed at me behind the gate when I asked for paperwork stating their pricing. He refused to give me any documentation stating their pricing and claimed I'd see their 8×10 pricing sign hung on their office door 20 yards away around the side of the building behind the gate when I paid them enough to pick up the car. I requested this because when my husband initially called them (upon realizing he was towed) they told him a different price on the phone but when we got there they claimed it was $30 more. Drove around in another car for 4 hours just to get the car back because they are either not an honest company who price gouges (likely) or the guy answering phones didn't know correct info to be answering basic rates questions. The guy also accused me of lying to them about inspection info. Terrible people, and any business who uses this company should be shamed for it.
Horrible company, horrible institution. I had to pay $260 in cash when I can barely make rent, and when I got my car back the steering light was on and the gas looked like it'd been siphoned. They don't care about other people, and they're a great example of what's wrong with society as we know it today. Also, nothing says "we're a trustworthy and respectable organization" like several misspelled signs right on your front gate. Get a real job, maybe learn how to spell, I hope yall have the days you deserve <3
They are scammers. They give arbitrary time stamps with no proof just to rip people off. I had to file a police report for an agreed upon amount because they were so rude and they made a bunch of agreements just to close the shop on me. If your car gets towed ask for proof of everything because they will try their very beat to rip you off.
This place illegally tows vehicles! They towed my car from infront of my residence claiming my lease stated I couldn't park infront of mu garage. When I got a copy of my lease and proved them wrong they became belligerent and rude. They are now being taken to court! If you've had the same experience PLEASE do NOT allow them to get away with it! TAKE THEM TO COURT!
I wish I could rate this towing company negative stars. They wrongfully towed my car and charged me full price for it. They would not hear me out in any way and blatantly told me to go away. I should open up my own towing company if it means I can just tow anyone’s car and then charge them a lot of money for it. My car wasn’t even on the property for a couple hours and the bill was almost half a grand. These people take your car and don't even call the police to tell them your car is towed. I had to call the police and almost reported it stolen. The world is an awful place, and Cameron Street Towing adds to the filth of the slimy, dirty, grubby, money seeking part of it.
I was locked out of car when I seen Cody and he’s friends coming down the street. I was just about to try to find a hanger and they came at the perfect time. I asked them if they could please help me get into my car and they did it with no problem. We had a good laugh and they went about their night. That truly saved me from having to call someone else to get into the car. Appreciate those guys tonight very much! Super quick with it too!
This company towed my car a few weeks ago which ended up costing me $260. That’s not the problem, the problem is when I got my car back both my front wheel wells were ripped to shreds exposing wires, and my front bumper is now broken. I treat this car like my baby and have never had an issues with it. Then to get my car back like this has me very annoyed. I reached out the company to discuss the matter which the guy on the phone seemed okay, I explained my situation and he asked for me to send pictures of the damage. He said he would call me back…. WHICH HE NEVER DID. For someone who said “I don’t want my company to be known for breaking peoples cars”…. well now it can be since no one wants to resolve the issue.
I’m all understanding for doing your job and towing cars when needed…. But damaging someone’s property while doing it isn’t cool. I shouldn’t have to pay out of pocket for these damages or have my car decrease in value because it’s messed up now!
10’s all around!! I wasn’t sure what to expect being this was my first time getting a vehicle towed from an accident but they were extremely nice and beyond helpful! Andrea was so accommodating with getting me in contact with the owner. Jerry was also very helpful and willing to help me as much as he could! He made this difficult time so much easier for me and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Thank you again!!
Rude driver did not even acknowledge us. Looked at the truck said before he could tow it he needed to clean up oil that had leaked and it would cost $200. I asked the people worked at the gas station and they said no problem we have stuff that will clean it right up. Driver still refused to tow my truck. His boss said he would “do me a solid” and tow my truck because it has 37” tires and they don’t tow modified vehicles IF I paid $200 for oil clean up. These guys are clowns. I’ve had my truck towed before on a flatbed they simply wanted more money out of me and the kicker is this is the company AAA sent.
It's never a good time when your car breaks down, but if you ever run into the situation, I would definitely call these guys. I would also recommend you ask for the driver JT, when you call! He didn't waste any time getting there to get me towed. He was professional, respectful, and made sure he took every precaution loading and unloading my truck! Hopefully, I never run into this situation again, but if I do....I know who I'll be calling and asking for!
I normally don’t leave reviews, but I absolutely had to on this one. Any other time I would have something completely horrible to say about this toll company In particular, but I had an absolutely amazing experience dealing with the new guy Leland who actually has a heart and is willing to work with you in possibly help if he can. I can’t speak on if your car 100% deserved to get towed, but I will say he’ll listen and try to figure something out with you.
Terrible experience and will charge whatever they please even with a contract with the place they towed from. ---Any towing company contracted to remove vehicles from private property shall not charge more than $100 for towing and no more than $10 a day for storage, charged to the owner of the vehicle, as per Chapter 212, Tow Service Charges.--- mine was locked up for 2 days and I had to pay 320 to get it out after it was towed from a contract towing area. I tried to show them and they refused to hear any of it. Had I not paid what they charged I'd have to pay almost 600 after the weekend because they wouldn't talk with the camera on our unless I had the money. Real quality towing isn't what you'll find here. Just scum bags out to get your money.
I wish I could give it a zero but this the lowest I could go. My vehicle was towed and was taken back by where they strip vehicles. Also the owner is a nothing but rude and very disrespectful. Also he don’t have office hours or a company phone so I had to phone the police emergency line to find my vehicle. And also he charges people outstanding number considering if your willing to take his billing or not. Just for reference don’t go here or ask for towing this place is low class and also looks shady.
At first I was genuinely disheartened by losing my car, but even the night I lost it- one of their employees weren’t terribly heartless. He actually stopped when I caught him taking my car and not only gave me essential information- as I’ve never had my car towed, but proceeded to allow me to get my phone and wallet, which I left in my vehicle. So off the bat I had better impressions.
It wasn’t until I got the money to buy my car back. Sure it was a higher fee, but upon talking with the man who was working at the time I learned that they aren’t such terrible people. In fact, he mentioned that after the fee reaches a certain point, they stop raising it to give people a fighting chance to get their car back. And to be honest, it sounded like quite a few people actually abandoned their car- so I wouldn’t hold them to it that they have so many. Some people genuinely don’t come back. And it’s not like all the cars in their lot are worth it. Some of these cars are damaged and aren’t worth saving.
Anyways, that was my experience. Not bad for a towing company. I was surprised to find that they offer other services too. So they aren’t just for towing.
