Well had a bike inspection a few weeks ago and the gentleman that actually did it was thorough and nice. Well I called yesterday to get my suv in and was told to bring it in this morning, so I did, I couldn't believe the price $90.00 cash only!, btw is all they accept besides a check. Anyway not very social at all and I asked about the emission exemption and seemed to get a run around, I haven't driven the vehicle anywhere near 5000 miles this last yr and have been the only owner. He told me he would have to send paperwork to penndot etc.., and they would charge him $10.00, yada, yada, yada so with tire rotation at $16.00 "fair price" I pd a total of $106.00. $90.00 for inspection and emissions. Afterwards while looking at their price chart it said $11.00 sticker fee and I personally haven't heard of more than a couple bucks, since they're only $2.00 from Pendot, I was told. I actually had last yrs inspection report in glove box so they could verify mileage, but was never asked for it. It seemed the price is that whether you have an exemption or not?.
I was really thrown back at how high the price was, that they only deal in cash, and they really don't socialize whatsoever, with exception if whispering in front of car which made me a nervous wreck.
Thanks for getting me in, but I will surely be taking my business elsewhere. Is too bad, the gentleman helping was hard working, thorough and friendly.
I have been going to Moore's Garage now for 8 years now. I relocated to the Carlisle area and got Moore's name from an employee who worked for me and have been going there ever since. Quick but thorough inspection, and they get you in and out and no appointments needed. Also referred my 2 sons there, and they have been using them ever since.
Excellent fast service. Average price. The following year, he opened my positive battery cap. I was wondering why he was doing that for inspection. A worker at the campground got my attention and inspection oficer broke half the batty post off. Then, the car needed a jump to do emissions. I never had to jump battery before. Did not notice damage to positive battery post until I had to jump again. 4 year old battery needed replaced. But not there ?. God will pay him back. DON'T GO TO MOORES. 0 STARS.
this was so bad they mess up. they was a post to put a shock for my car and now when i drive it. it make this Weird noise. i came back to let them see it and he say drive it around. all i am saying that noise i am hearing when i am driving my car should not be like that
Called a few times after 6am, no answers. So I see on the website there’s no appointments needed, so I head over there, got there about 6:20 and knocked on the door and saw a guy. The guy turned around and went to the corner, then came by the doors 4 more times looking out them and just walked back to the corner of the shop. This was all over about 25-30 minutes of me looking at my truck, and waiting outside for no acknowledgment or answer. So I left.
professional but also personal! no appointment needed which is easy and convenient. i have been going there for years and they still remember me. plus i love the kitties!!
