What clients say about National Centre for Padre Pio in Barto (PA)

Visiting the National Centre for Padre Pio has truly been a privilege. It was such a memorable day, and I feel so blessed and thankful. I wish there had been a Mass when we went, but we’ll definitely try again next time. The place was beautiful, the museum’s history was amazing, and the staff was incredibly kind. We also got a beautiful rosary from the gift shop. Such a special experience.

The statues are beautiful. Attended a church service here. The gift shop did not offer much.

It was a great trip going to this National Centre. I learned a lot about Padre Pio and his miracles, backstory, kindness, and much more. It was honestly inspiring seeing the people he influenced: even the people who built this centre were those that were touched by his influence. 10/10, I suggest checking out the museum

It is a great place to find serenity and spiritual healing. People from all over the world go there seeking solace. The atmosphere is filled with a strong sense of faith and devotion. There, one can truly feel the presence of God's love and compassion. You can experience a sense of peace within your heart when you visit. Padre Pio of Pieltrecina. A Catholic Priest ans wonder worker who bore the wounds of Christ, the stigmata.

A very nice place. Compelling connections to St. Padre Pio. Quiet location. Amazing recreation of the chapel most associated with him.

Whenever you're on the east coast, try to drop by Padre Pio shrine. It is very peaceful, and you can feel the presence of the Lord. Some pilgrims go there to attend mass or visit the museum or just pray and ask for a miracle.

I really enjoy visiting the shrine and I go as often as I can to get a spiritual recharge! The staff here are wonderful. The gift shop has a wide variety of things to choose from at very reasonable prices. My favorite place to go is the little chapel. The museum here is fantastic. For first-timers, I would recommend watching the unsolved mystery segment about Padre pio and you will get a better background on him. The museum is terrific and it gives you an entire history of Padre pio and how the shrine came to Barto Pennsylvania. If I live closer I would visit more.

Fantastic shrine. Absolutely complete. Temple, museum and gift shop. Bonus track: an exquisite cafe run by two authentic Sicilians who are a ton of fun to talk with.

Today we visited the National Shrine of Padre Pio in Barto, PA. Padre Pio is one of the most venerated saints, born & raised in the region of Puglia. The complex was built 35 years to resemble Padre Pio's friary in San Giovanni Rotondo, Italy, where he spent most of his life. He entered the Capuchin order when he was 15. He served as a medic in WWI, founded a hospital, and is known for many miracles. He is best known, however, for receiving the stigmata (the wounds of Christ) in 1918. Padre Pio died in 1968 and was canonized in 2002. Because he lived in the 20th century, there is much documented footage of his life.

I went in the winter but will be going back in the spring. The grounds are beautiful and there are places outside to pray and light candles.

Beautiful and peaceful place that was built in honor of Padre Pio through such an incredible miraculous story of the family that built it. God bless them and all who walk on those grounds. Once you go there you will certainly feel the peace God has there and beauty for yourself. Definitely worth the trip with your family/friends.

My mom and I shared the wonderful experience of walking the grounds of this most devotional place. The Mass, the gift shop, the art, and the special designated area/room where you could almost feel Padre Pio's presence! A treasured memory for both of us! ? ✝ ❤

Love this place. It is beautiful when you drive up. The people on site are so kind. The chapel is beautiful the museum is very informative as to who Padre Pio was they also offer a short video with some of his modern day miracles. It is so peaceful here it gives you the perfect environment to think, meditate, pray and light a candle for those who need prayers. There is a gift shop to purchase medals, books, oil and candles.

My wife and I first visited the National Centre for Padre Pio two years ago. The centre is a spiritual museum and cultural center. It is a popular Catholic pilgrimage shrine to Padre Pio, a well-known Catholic Saint that died 40 + years ago. What we found is a beautiful, relaxing, and spiritual place that houses a museum, Chapel, cafe and gift shop. The shrine and facilities are state of the art and well constructed and the grounds are very expansive and well maintained. The museum has a great deal of information that spans the entire life and struggles of Padre Pio. For our visit, they had a docent and a movie about Padre Pio. Within the facilities there is a beautiful Chapel, a tasteful gift shop, bookstore and cafe where you can sit and enjoy a coffee, tea, or latte and treats. There is also a Rosary Service and Mass. This is a serene and peaceful place of prayer, reflection and beauty that brings a good feeling of comfort and healing. You will leave filled with a sense of calm and centeredness. It is a beautiful place to visit and reflect on the words of Padre Pio, "Pray Hope and Don’t Worry. Worry is useless. God is merciful and will hear your prayer."

This is my second time visiting and I always love coming here! There is a peace in the air and you can just forget about everything and enjoy the beautiful views and the visit with God. I am a true believer in miracles and I am sure he worked a miracle on my niece who was near death. My only suggestion was that last time I was there, there were a lot souvenirs of St. Jude, but there was not a lot this time! I am a huge follower and will love to see more of him there!

The Presence of the Lord was in the chapel but many of the people going into the chapel did not display any reverence for the Lord otherwise His Presence would have been stronger.

This place is extremely tranquil... If you r thinking whether or not to visit this place, then think no more... Padre Pio is a saint who has healed and is still healing people.. make sure to so spend some time there and not to rush. Visit the gift shop and the museum, ask the staffs for the 15 min video presentation. You will surely feel serene. ..
