I went in looking for 8” subs under my jeep’s rear seats and was immediately told i should get the cargo 8” instead (did not explain why). Reni then showed me the 10” below seat sub and told me the price difference was $500 and that the cargo sub was $1200. I shared that wasn’t in my budget, and he continued to try to convince me to purchase by showing me the sound quality. Sounds nice! Still can’t afford it :) Reni then quoted me for the 10” subs under the seat for $812 but dropped it to $699 if i paid in that moment. I politely declined, asked for his business card, and told him I’d shop around and let him know. His customer service completely dropped and he seemed to want to rush me out of there after I said no to that offer. It’s been 24 hours, and I’m paying $800 (total) for 12” cargo subs, installation, and all else needed for the system at Stereo King. If you want quality customer service that doesn’t change when you decline their subpar offer and don’t want to get up charged by a company filing bankruptcy that’s just out for your money, go actually anywhere else! Walked into their store about 3:00 PM. I inquired about a dash cam for my Nissan Rogue. They gave me a knowledgeable presentation on a Momento M8 PRO dash cam with rear view camera also. Told me how much it was to install it, they quoted me the total price. I asked about their scheduling, they said they could do it now. I agreed. Went to Costco to bide my time during the installation, came back in about an hour, it was done. These guys did a great job from the time I stepped into their store until I drove away. Yes, I was happy with the quality of the installation, their demeanor and the way they followed up with the dash cam ap. Yes, I would buy from them again. Thanks guys.

I’m very impressed with Car Toys. I was having ongoing issues with my stereo, and the store manager immediately figured out it was a software update causing the problem. He took the time to update it on the spot and explained everything clearly. As we talked more, I realized it was time for new stereos, and he was able to get me in and take care of everything. He did a fantastic job, and I’m so happy to finally have my stereo working the way it should. Great service, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. Highly recommend!

Stellar experience; the best customer service I've seen in the last five years. I was the third in line over a 20-minute period and received the same service as the two people in front of me with very different/complex needs. Service all around was personal, efficient, and creative problem solving on the fly. If you just want to get the job done. Go here, they will.

I have dealt with Car Toys for over 20 years... they have performed various upgrades to at least 7 of my autos primarily the radio systems... the installation today was quicker than planned about 1 hour which was nice... explanation of the system at the Caddy was to the point and I think pretty complete... UPDATE: GM Rene reached out to me directly to apologize, they were having difficulties with a new AI system after a change in ownership. After Rene reached out they got me in for a detail the next morning and did an absolutely AMAZING job. This isn't a guy in your driveway with a canopy, these are skilled perfectionists who made my nine year old car look showroom ready!!! Five stars well earned, and exceptional customer service without the AI. ======= Website says detailing. Sign in front of the store says detailing. AI phone bot says they don't do detailing. Argues I'm mistaken about the nature of this business. Weirdest marketing campaign I've ever seen.

Called CT today and Sam answered. He fielded all my questions related to a recent upgrade to my truck radio. I went local for the upgrade. It didn't work out for me to well. Sam easily answered my questions with clarity and depth (even though it was painful for me to hear. LOL). He also was able to provide good solutions to my situation. No chance for me to undo my commitment to the local shop, so I can't be a customer at this time. Water under the bridge. I can however urge you to give Car Toys a chance to meet your need. I wish I did!

Sam at the Tigard location went out of his way to help me get the right wiring harness for my aftermarket stereo. Even stayed a little past closing hours to give me additional advice. Exceptional customer service. Thank you, Sam!

Luis and the team at Car Toys Tigard did an awesome job with front window tinting of our SUV. I was in/out in an hour, and the windows look awesome! I have already recommended them to a friend for fast service and reasonable cost. Thanks guys!

I went into cartoys today to discuss getting my early Christmas gift thinking this would be something we scheduled for install on a different day. John took care of it within a matter of 30 minutes. Not only did he install my new subwoofer to my amp but he helped me with installing a new usb port which I’ve been dying to have to access Apple car play. He showed me how to use the different output options and we found one that was perfect! I’m so stoked it got all finished in a matter of minutes. Not to mention the deal that I got! Thanks John and Sam! Merry Christmas!

After my truck had been broken into for the 2nd time I brought it in and these guys installed a kill switch on my old truck that is super discreet and very well hidden. I am very happy with the work.

DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!! Horrible work manners after my husband took my car t9 this shop for speakers upgrade they have lost the parts from interior and promissed to order and trplace it. Its been 5 months and all they been lieing saying thqt part never came to them. I had a nice nre interior in my new car but after theur work it looks like cheap ripped off interior in my drivers door and missing the piece holding upholstery. The price they charged was around 5000$ for all their work and now my car looks like crap inside thanks to these liers and scammers!

Go anywhere but here. Miserable experience. I called and confirmed on with an employee that the team at Car Toys could diagnose a non-functioning aftermarket head unit. I confirm that the unit receives power and I’m don’t need the car looked at. They say they can help. I show up, leave them my car, and kick rocks for an hour and a half with no calls or texts. I finally come back and I’m told that there’s something wrong with the head unit—something I established with the team before showing up. The team then tells me they can’t diagnose the problem by opening up the head unit, honoring my original request. I’m still charged $100.00 for the hour of labor that I didn’t request. Manager then tried to sell me a new head unit, probably hoping to make more in extremely high labor fees. Unprofessional team just trying to make a buck.

I visited this store for the first time last week and ever since I made frequent stops to get help from them. The staff are very nice and professional and their tech Will is the best, knowledgeable and fair technician I have encountered with in recent years. Excellent service and experience. Thank you. Took my Bronco Raptor to get a sub installed and fix some rattling in the stock speaker system… I think in five minutes Will isolated the issue and fixed it… incredible service… few days later had the sub installed and could not be happier with the attention to detail Sonny covered… wiring… amp placement… controls… etc both these dudes knocked it our if the park. Incredible seamless customer service. 10/10.

I went to have a 10 in 800. watt under seat spider speaker installed or mainly a quote. The guy at Car Toys put his palm on my speaker and claimed it was faulty due to it being too hard; I assumed it was hard due to it being brand new. I just wanted a quote and did not want to go down there, to start with but because everything is AI now, i could have basically sent images of my car and speaker and could have gotten a quote. He looked at my speaker and made me feel like it didn't work after i just bought it a week ago. When I asked could he hook it up and see if it worked he claimed it would take too long, then basically tried to upsell me, then said labor was $350.00 plus $85.00 and didn't even say what the $85 was for and, then tried to get me to buy a system for $800.00 Talking about we have financing. I just feel like all he cared about was trying to sell me something ither then what I wanted so does it mean this speaker doesn't work, or was he just doing the common sales pitch? Clearly Assuming everyone who lives in SW Oregon has money coming out of their pockets. If I had I had just bought a speaker what would have made him think I'd want to upgrade when all I wanted was a quote? It literally felt like going to a car dealership; he didn't listen to anything I said, and his goal was mainly to make a commission. Regarding the Speaker Being "Too Hard": New speakers often have stiff surrounds and spiders. These are the flexible parts that allow the cone to move. With use, these components break in and become more pliable. A brand new speaker can certainly feel quite stiff. "Hardness" isn't necessarily an indication of a faulty speaker. A truly damaged speaker might have a torn cone, a frozen voice coil (won't move at all), or make a scratching sound when gently pressed. Simply feeling stiff doesn't automatically mean it's broken

Great customer service. They took the time to fix my DIY install and even showed me a better way to do it for the next project I do on my own. No pressure on buying from them, using their shop. They also didn’t make me feel foolish for my mistake on my install

I bought a groupon for an interior detail for $70 supposedly a $100 value. They waited until the vehicle was left with them to call and up charge the entire price to $220. They stated the glass, carpet and seats weren’t covered by an interior detail. The seats weren’t shampooed I am attaching pictures. This review will stay up until I get a refund of the $120 upsell. When I went to pick up they tried to tack on another $17 for a shop fee which they promptly removed when I explained that would be the 4th price hike.

On January 30 2020, I came in to have a new alarm and bass box installed in my vehicle. When I received my car back from the all day installation, I found that the drivers door handle Bezel and Seat Track-Upper Cover for my electric seat controls were both broken also that the threshold for the drivers side door was not reinstalled. Luckily that was not broken when I shut the door on it. I also noticed that my steering wheel controls were no longer functioning correctly. I went back into the store and have them look at the issues. A sales associate looked at the broken items. The sales associate told me that her manager would contact me the next day, which didn't happen. I was in the area so I decided to stop by the store and talk to the manager. Since he was not in the store at the time the same sales associate came out, wrote down my VIN number and told me that she was going to order the replacement parts. After a few weeks of not hearing anything I contacted the store to check on the status of the parts. The parts were not ordered. I later received a phone call from Jorge on Feb 1st 2020, who told me he was going to order the replacement parts for my car. He asked for pictures of the broken parts which I promptly sent that same day. About 2 weeks later on Feb 13th I texted Jorge to find out the status of my parts. He responded by telling me “ I apologize for the late reply it’s been crazy lately at work. Ill follow up with you in a moment” and asked for the VIN number. I sent a picture of my VIN number right away. I texted Jorge yesterday Mar 10 2020, for an update and he responded with "I'm checking right now! I apologize for the super long delay we have to go through certain steps to get parts as of recently. Give me 30 minutes and I'll get you a status". I texted him 2 hours later for an update and never got a response. Here I am a month in a half after the installation with my car still in pieces. This has been a horrible experience. Shoddy installation and bad customer service. Last update, its now been 8 months since the beginning of this amazing experience. I have purchased all of the parts and fixed everything myself. Do yourself a favor and avoid this poorly managed company.

Went to car toys today and got navigation system, intergraded steering wheel controls, and backup camera installed.. Installer, sales manager and sales representative did a great job with install and with purchase... I have also got my alarm and auto start installed here. This is my second time going to Car Toys in Tigard. Very nice group of personal at this Car Toys. I would definitely recommend people to come to this Car Toys to buy and install here. I have been to many Car Toys and this one beats the rest of them...... ???
