Orient auto was a fantastic shop to work with. Came in with a bit of an abnormal situation. I do pretty much all of my own mechanical work but don't have the proper tools for recharging and evacuating A/C systems. I have a 3rd gen 4Runner and my A/C wasn't working properly. Was hoping for just a recharge, but the shop confirmed that the actual compressor had failed which I was afraid of. All throughout the diagnostic process Orient Auto Service was incredibly communicative. They even texted me a detailed quote with pictures of the problem areas and what they recommended replacing. Ultimately, I ended up replacing the components on the A/C system, but had Orient evacuate, flush, and charge the new system after it was all put back together and my A/C is working great! Very professional shop, I've always been into cars and they were happy to answer/confirm some questions that I've had regarding A/C. Really appreciated this, as I had previously taken my truck to our family mechanic a while ago and was told that it "was just an old truck" when I had some questions about my car. Overall, a great experience and I will definitely be returning if I have any other needs outside of what I'm comfortable with tackling on my own. Can't recommend Orient Auto Service enough if your in the Gresham area and need mechanic work done on an import.
Just had my oil changed here and will certainly be a return customer! Great communication before the appointment with a text reminders. Was greeted with smiles and my car was started on my appointment time. The lobby is comfortable with 3 chairs and plenty of space, you can see the cars being worked on. They text the photos of what they are finding in the inspection. A little later they will send another text about the cost of each service with a decline or accept check list for that day! I left a happy customer with my 1 hour time frame with spending less money than the previous big dealer oil change. Going to tell my family and friends to change over!
Fair clear prices, work appears to have been completed well and a little ahead of schedule. Clear and courteous communication from front office. Place appears to also be kept up well. Had a prius in to complete many bits of routine maintenance.
This is a great locally owned shop that takes care of all our cars. Their customer service is wonderful— They call and confirm appointments, explain any work that needs to be done on the car and work with your budget. We live 35 minutes away, but we drive out there to receive exceptional service!

Brought my 2002 Rav4 in for service at 195,277 miles. Coolant flushed, power steering pump replaced, rear differential seal replaced. The car was driven 1,067 miles when the differential started making noise. Took it in to Toyota due to it being over 100 miles away from home. They found metal shavings in the differential oil, coolant was low, and power steering fluid near empty. Seems to much like a coincidence that three issues were the same things that Orient Auto worked on. Had to spend over $1000 to replace the differential.
Brought my 2006 Tundra in for service at 176,032 miles for outer tie rods, rack and pinion, valve cover gasket, and lower ball joints replacement. Immediately after pickup I took the vehicle to Toyota for an alignment. They indicated that the new tie rods were over torqued and thus tore the boots. I had to spend more money to replace the tie rods. Fast forward about a week and I notice an noticeable oil leak on my drive way. I open the hood and the passenger side bay has a considerable amount of oil all over the lower part. Keep in mind that the oil leak prior to the gasket replacement wasn't even comparable. The truck is at 176,162 miles. That's 130 miles driven since it left Orient Auto. I have to find another mechanic and pay for the gasket to be redone.
Had I found out about the Rav4 issues sooner I would not have let them service my Tundra. By the time I found out, they were already working on the vehicle. I let them continue in hopes that it wouldn't turn out bad. I was wrong.
Their warranty requires that you bring the vehicle back to their shop to service. After experiencing the questionable workmanship on two different vehicles why would a customer trust the workmanship a third time?
My advice to the business is to invest in good training. Don't rush jobs. Follow proper torque specs and pay attention to detail. If you're unsure double-check the vehicle service manual. In this day in age there are resources to get the information you need for a proper install. Some folks don't have the time to do the fix so they pay the pros to do it, and we expect quality work.
I will not be returning to Orient Auto.
Had a check engine light go off, I contacted orient auto on the weekend, not expecting any response until Monday. One of the members sent up a 10am appointment for Monday over the weekend. And I had answers of needed service by noon. They ordered parts and had my car back Wednesday. And they tried for Tuesday, shipping delayed the speed service I was getting. As far as cost goes I did not shop around so I have no idea there but if past experience says anything it seems fair.
Orient Auto Service does a great job on my vehicle and is always upfront on what is going on without me having to keep calling to check up. And the staff is so friendly and helpful with my questions.
I have not stopped talking about this place since my recent experience. Working with the team at Orient was great. They were transparent, knowledgeable, and efficient. I will be taking all of my family’s vehicles here going forward. I’d give them 6 stars if I could.

The service on my Dodge Durango was excellent. The communication during the process was also excellent. They also replaced they fuel pump assembly because of ongoing issue with long crank time. They did the research to find that this is the solution, ordered the parts and installed them. The car runs like a dream now and there are no long crank problems. It is great to find a place I can trust so close to my house.
Our first visit, very impressed. Went in for an oil change and brake inspection. Clear, prompt communication with the app and they were able to get brake pads and rotors done the same day. Excited to have a trustworthy mechanic within walking distance to our home.

They were very helpful with getting the diagnosis correct, working with my third-party warranty and they got the job done in less time than they told me they would. Communication was seamless and the personalities that you work with in the shop are very helpful and kind. I will definitely be going back for future work.
To start with, I'm a retired heavy equipment mechanic, now in my mid-70s and know my way around a vehicle.
Donna was great. I took the truck in for power steering sqeals which they fixed by belt replacement and tightening. Also had a leak in the oil cooler seals.
Turned out that the front brakes were very overdue too, so we did that, but that was as far as my budget would take me, so I got the parts from them to either replace myself or hold for a future visit.
Everyone was courteous, the work was done quickly and properly.
We have taken our vehicle to these guys for years. They're very honest and fair. The ladies in the office are wonderful to work with and provide great customer service explaining exactly what needs to be done each time we have an issue with the vehicle.
Auto repair is a hassle at the best of times. Orient was a refreshing change of pace. I was reminded a week before and the day before of my appointment. As someone with a billion things going on, I appreciated that. From the check in to the check out there was clear, friendly and helpful information and communication. I’m new to Gresham and it’s nice to know I can say I have found my auto mechanic. Now to find a hair stylist :)

I took my old 2005 Mazda-3 in to Orient due to a variety of what appeared to be unrelated and intermittent electrical issues. Complicating the situation was that I had caught 3 mice under the hood and had water condensing inside. Orient Auto broke the car down, eliminated water infiltration and rodent infestation as the cause, and instead pointed to a bad battery. I replaced the battery and have had no further issues. I really feel I got my money's worth from them and I'm a very happy customer.
Went to Orient Auto to repair my Toyota.They were friendly, transparent, easy to work with, and keep you informed throughout the process. Repairs took less time than expected with reasonable prices. I will be taking future repairs/services here!
Orient auto service did a major 100k miles service on my 2003 LS430 Lexus to include timing belt and water pump and other services. The car runs like a new car. This place is amazing! They are kind, great communicators, affordable, and are always willing to go the extra mile. When some things went wrong because of flaws in factory parts, they fixed and then re-fixed the problem at no extra charge, absorbing the loss in labor costs they incurred.
They always get repairs done on schedule, and we drive nearly 20 miles past lots of other mechanics to bring our cars to them. It's worth the extra effort.
OAS is very honest, thorough and professional. Communication is excellent and my quote was complete with photos. I was also made aware of other issues with my vehicle to keep in mind. They are not the cheapest shop out there, but worth every penny!
This is a first class Import repair shop. After some ok experiences at some pretty good discount repair shops around Gresham I thought I could do better at maintaining my semi collectible Acura Type -S sedan with OEM parts and care.
After having done many preventative, emergency services, fluids, including a performance brake upgrade and a major timing service recently, Orient Auto Repair is my go-to when the “Dad Missile” needs more than I can manage and I need my vehicle back in a timely fashion. Their cumulative experience and manufacturer trained tech’s care and attention to detail allows me to keep value in my vehicle and confidence that I’ll pass a great vehicle on to my son or the next Honda nut.
First time customer to this smaller family owned shop for just an oil change etc., at this time. Receptionist and owners were very respectful and were both very helpful & knowledgable helping me schedule some a future maintenance appointment. They were also great sending reminders of my scheduled appointment date. They even a called on the morning of my appointment to see if I could bring my Highlander in early, which was very helpful for me. 100% recommend this shop for your maintenance needs. So much better than the dealerships. I will be their customer from here on out. Keep up the great work Orient Auto Service, it is extremely appreciated.
Good service you get from a smaller shop . They do get booked up fast so get on their schedule for routine work . They got my car in and out in 2 days for a no start no run issue . They have a fenced in area if you drop you car off during business hours or they have after hours drop box , but then your car stays out in the open lot until they open in the morning .
