We get all of our vehicle maintenance and repairs done by Crabtree Automotive, and I have only great things to say about the employees and the high quality of work that goes into each maintenance and repair being done on our vehicles. Their employees always go the extra mile. Even in the little things, like the paper mats that get put on the floor boards, to the little gift pack of a pen, note pad, calendar and so on. It’s those little things that lets me know this company cares about their customer satisfaction and their work quality. 5 stars all around from me.

We purchased this car because this is our favorite vehicle. But, it had a “noise”. We thought it was fire noise so the first thing was to put new tires on her. That wasn’t it. Then, we took it to another local auto repair that supposedly specializes in Toyotas. “We have a tech with 30 years of experience working on Toyotas!”
If that was true, after three visits, the noise would have been gone. But, after over $3000, it was still there.
Crabtree Automotive was a whole different experience!
The first thing they did was have a tech take it for a drive with us! We never even had a chance to talk directly to a tech at the other place.
Right away he said it sounds like a bearing. The other place only looked at the front of the vehicle. These were the rear wheel bearings.
Crabtree is first class! It’s clean, every employee was very pleasant and professional. They put protection on the floor of the car, the other place left the car with mud all over my mats on both sides each time.

Have had my car since 2012 with no problems what so ever. Went out and unable to start my car. Had it towed to Crabtree Automotive. A good friend of mine always bragged about the service there. I dealt with Kim on the phone several times! She has such a good attitude/personality. I will go back there if anything is needed again. Largely due to the way I was treated by Kim. The prices were a little higher than I thought but again, I never have had to do any repairs on the car!

I cannot express enough how grateful I am that Crabtree Automotive was recommended to me! One of the most financially stressful situations I've found myself in, was made so much easier to handle by the team at Crabtree. Special shout out to Kat! I had no idea what was wrong with my car and I had been given conflicting information by two previous businesses before getting my Hyundai to Crabtree. I was at my wits end and scared that I was just going to have a $17,000 paper weight sitting in my driveway. From the very first call I made to Crabtree until the moment I was back in my vehicle, I had such an incredible experience (despite the diagnosis being far from ideal). The communication throughout every step of the 9 day process was impeccable. They kept me informed on the diagnosis, next steps, cost, options, and status of my vehicle. They educated me about anything I didn't understand. The inspection report came with thorough notes, photos, and videos making it easy to determine on my own what to prioritize financially. While I didn't end up needing them, I appreciated the financing options. I was placed into a loaner vehicle with no hesitation when I needed one to be able to get to work (45 minutes from my home). The goodie bag left in my car after the repairs were complete was a cute added bonus, and they might catch me stopping by from time to time just to visit the sweetest office dog ?? I picked up my car in Tuesday evening and she drives better than she ever has. As a single woman who admittedly knows very little about the mechanics of my vehicle, I have had a hard time finding a business that I can trust that doesn't try to upsell things that I don't need or push me to pay for unnecessary services that I can't afford. I appreciated all of the honesty, detailed explanations, and encouragement to take my time to weigh out my options and make a decision. It made trusting your team much less scary. I will absolutely return for all of my automotive needs in the future!
I had issues with the transmission. I called Crabtree and I was able to get in that day. The mechanic figured what the problem was and fixed it. They went beyond and above to do a inspection on the vehicle and also looked Carfax to see any service was done by previous owner. If any repairs or replacement needs to done, they give the estimated quotes of the service included replacing parts and give you options to replace or repair. They will treat you well. Likely will recommend this place as reference to anyone. Friendly people and a great looking dog too. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
Finding a diesel mechanic with the knowledge and availability we needed was hard to come by to say the least. Luckily a family friend recommended us to Crabtree Automotive and we’re so grateful they did. Knowledgeable, friendly + efficient staff made the entire process a breeze. We called close to 5pm and had an appointment the following day for an inspection. Less than a week later our pickup is back home + running great! This pickup is used for our small business and they wasted no time getting it back to work for us. We have found our new mechanic shop for personal + business and we’ll tell everyone the same thing!

I just used their services to perform a Pre-Purchase Inspection for a used truck. Scheduling was easy and extremely fast. The evaluation was thorough and was sent to me with video clips and pictures. They easily saved me $10,000 worth of repairs had I gone through with the purchase. Well worth the inspection fee and highly recommended. I believe I spoke to Kim who arranged everything and discussed all the findings, even sent me a quote for potential repairs if I wanted to go through with it.
I definitely would use their services again, and recommend their work regarding Pre-purchase inspections.

While passing through Albany, OR on a recent trip, the check engine light came on and after a quick scan of google to find an auto mechanic, we chose Crabtree based local reviews. Too bad Google only lets me give 5 stars as these folks deserve much more! The check engine light indicated that we had to replace the transmission (Yikes!) and thanks to truly spectacular service from Crabtree, they had us back on the road in only a few days. The professionalism, follow-up and overall service we received were unlike hardly anything we’ve experienced before, especially from an auto mechanic. They gave timely updates, provided a loaner car and shuttled me back and forth when necessary. All employees were kind, helpful and thorough and Cat did such an amazing job with taking care of us. She even called days later to see how we were doing with the transmission! Thanks, Crabtree for everything! What a wonderful place to do business!
After a six-hour drive to Albany to visit with family I discovered my car was overheating. The temperature gauge was actually pegged in the red. After the car cooled down, I was able to add water and continue to drive it for short distances with no problems. There appeared to be a coolant leak coming from somewhere but I couldn't identify where and with another six-hour drive ahead of me to get home I needed a professional to check it out.
This was on a Saturday and being out of town I had no clue where to take the car. My family recommended Crabtree Automotive. I was at their door first thing Monday morning hoping they could get me in soon. I was greeted by Kat who patiently listened to my story and said they could check out my car that day. That was a huge relief as I was originally planning to return home that day.
Crabtree Automotive diagnosed my car and Kat shared the findings and the cost and Tuesday afternoon I had my car back.
If I still lived in the Albany area Crabtree Automotive would be my automotive shop. The courteous and professional staff with their willingness to work with me in this situation, even providing transportation to and from my hotel, definitely helped turn my bad situation around and made me feel comfortable that I could make the six-hour drive home worry free, and I did.

We’ve all heard those tales about breaking down far from home with a fully loaded vehicle on a long road trip….Our well loved 2000 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins was recently worked on by another shop in Eureka CA in prep for this OR road trip. Previous work involved removal of radiator/fan etc.
400+ miles later on the way to Bend, we suddenly dumped ALL coolant just before rolling into Albany OR. We maintain this truck for reliability so it was puzzling… blown hose? stuck thermostat? not the water pump ?!?!
Pulled over pronto before things got heated, let the block cool off, opened the radiator cap, poured in two gallons of water, and drove 1.3 miles to Crabtree Automotive on the recommendation of J & J Truck Repair in Albany who couldn’t fit us in (understandable when a shop has promised time lines to customers).
Can’t say enough good things about this shop and the people who work there. We were trying to make it to Bend for a reunion and they made happen. Super kind, great communication, accurate info, quick diagnosis and fair pricing on the repair. Highly recommended !
Nothing like a potentially catastrophic breakdown on the road, 500 miles from home, with a truck full of gear, wife, border collie dog, bike etc. Figured we’d be spending at least one night getting to know Albany OR.
When I called Crabtree, Kim answered the phone and said they would be able to look us over and advise. Things were looking up already.
We limped in, and within 2 hours Crabtree Automotive had us rolling again! Turns out the last shop hadn’t fully seated or had cross threaded the Radiator Drain Petcock when reinstalling the radiator- it held for around 500 miles and the fell out or blew out.
Crabtree Automotive has a ton of positive reviews for their staff, their mechanics and techs, for fair pricing and they just earned another one.

I had some maintenance items I wanted addressed and while completing those they ran across some other things that definitely needed to be addressed. They know exactly what these trucks need to keep them reliable and on the road. These guys are the only ones I will trust to work on my OBS truck.
Crabtree Automotive did an excellent job fixing my Jeep! I appreciate how honest and upfront they were. Communication through the whole process was superb! They let me know exactly what was going on and didn't add on anything unnecessary. It was Quite a bit more than I was expecting to spend, but there was a few things going on that needed fixed. They did offer interest free financing for 6 months through Synchrony! That helped a lot. They also gave me a loaner car at no charge until my Jeep was fixed! Thank you Crabtree Automotive!
