Met a tire wizard here. He casted high level tire magic on my motorcycle. A school of magic which is not his primary study. He was able to make the necessary incantations and my motorbike was back up and running. Im now able to continue slaying dragons across the realm in his name. Blessed be.
They tried to overcharge me by an extra $2,500 and then claimed it was a mistake. To make things worse, I brought them the parts myself, yet they replaced additional parts without confirming anything with me. They later claimed they had called “a number” to get approval, but when I asked which number they called, it wasn’t even mine. Instead of taking responsibility for their mistake, they told me it wasn’t their problem.
When I gave them a check, they made me wait before handing over my keys until they deposit check at their bank. It was the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. They charged me $352 for a cooler, even though a cooler of a different brand at AutoZone costs only $51. And on top of everything, the repair took two months.
I usually don’t leave reviews, even after bad experiences, because everyone can have an off day. But this was truly the worst experience I’ve had, and they didn’t try to fix anything. Instead, they made me feel like I couldn’t afford the service.
I stopped here on a road trip because my car was having trouble and Katie and Wade and everyone was so nice, helpful, honest, and knowledgeable. Highly recommended!
Best place ever, after Les Schwab refused to let me use a floor jack to repair a motorcycle tube I ventured back into Merrill and found R&J Auto Repair. They opened their shop to me and I was able to fix the tube in their parking lot using any tools I needed from the shop. Thank you guys, you are the best and saved the day.
This business is amazing! My car wouldn't start so I couldn't get it to them. They had two guys come out on their lunch break with their personal vehicle to tow it to the shop! Cannot express how wonderful these guys are!
Under new ownership! I was visiting the area and they promised to use original Ford parts. But, before I got home my truck was already leaking. I spent about $3600 at their shop, and now need to spend another $800 to get back into the engine and replace the part that they used, which is now leaking. I live out of the area, and didn't even make it home before I notice the leaking. So, I sent them videos right away on the same day that I left their shop. A couple days later, I also got a quote from another shop that deals with Ford trucks only. I was trying to be thorough and respectful and logical to reach a fair solution. The new owner, Wade, refused to take ownership of the problem, or even help out with a small credit on the bill. I have never written a bad report on a repair shop, but want to get the word out as to the way this new owner does business. I do not recommend this shop.
This is my go to repair shop. Over the last 3 years I've brought in RVs pickups and cars. They have always been able to fix whatever I have brought them. I now live 900 miles away in Colorado and I still bring my vehicles here for any major work that needs to be done. They are absolutely amazing.
If your reading this then your probably looking for a repair shop. Stop reading and bring your vehicle in so you can spend the rest of your day relaxing instead of worrying about finding the right repair shop because you just found it and they are the best around.
The service was good but they charged waaaay more for the parts than what I could have got them for at the auto parts! Very frustrating when they pad the parts instead charging you what they actually cost.
Had nothing but problems they where supposed to troubleshoot our transmission codes, never happened besides being told waiting on sensors and then they had all the parts then the next day they were waiting on another sensor then another day goes by and one sensor was wrong my pickup was there a week I called every day and got another excuse....nothing got fixed it ran fine when I took it in there now it won't even shift out of first.... I can't even drive it now... So I let another mechanic look at it and he figured out the problem in 15 mins. You have to actually test drive it down the road not just from parking lot to garage..... And then I call to complain that it runs worse then when I took it in there so they tell me to bring it back right away so I do so a mechanic comes out and tells me well they had me working on it, so there is another red flag.... told me they were working on it then they weren't working on it took a week they didn't touch it..... Just the worst service ever I don't recommend them at all kept getting put to the back burner even when it was there for a week.... They should keep there facts straight if they couldn't figure out the problem they should have just told us straight up not give us a big run around why lie to us ....now I have a bigger problem then when I took it in there...... I would not recommend them at all worst experience ever do not recommend .....
We were passing through the area and had fuel system issues. Scott was able to fit us in, diagnose and repair the problem before noon, at a reasonable price. Big THANK YOU for getting us back on the road.

R and J has provided me with some of the best mechanical services I’ve ever received. They service a wide range of vehicles and will work with you. I and many others can trust their mechanics to be honest and straight forward. They are reasonable and kind. The establishment also has a very large and easy to maneuver parking lot.
I know auto repair/maintenance is not exciting, but we like R&J, they know what they're doing. They don't try to sell you more services or repairs than you need. Friendly, knowledgeable and want to make sure you are safe on the road, how can you go wrong?
