I was in need of some railroad ties to create some steps on my property. I made some cold calls to a few places and came up empty handed. After asking a few locals I was directed to Swift & Mc Cormick. The woman at the front desk was very polite, friendly and helpful. The yard crew that helped us load a full bundle of ties into our trailer were also very friendly, polite and helpful. The pricing was great and now our steps are complete! I will definitely be back again should I have a need for their services.

Been a customer for years, whoever the operator of material handler was on Jan 26 2023 around noon does not need to operate that machine. I parked to get unloaded and he said he can't unload small trailers so I offered to unload mine by hand wasn't much anyway. He shrugged and said no ill get it. His co workers on the ground were helpful and professional. He then dropped the grapple down full speed onto my trailer with enough force to lift my 3/4 ton suburban back wheels off the ground. How it didn't blow my small tires on my single axle trailer. Then drug it out with all the weight of grapple,everyone jumped the look of shock on there faces, I have been unloaded countless times over the years never a issue, everything gets removed without any damage any unnecessary strain on me or my vehicle. Calling on Monday to report it. He shouldn't be operating like that around the public for any reason. 50/50 inexperience or worse being reckless out of anger? Sorry to interrupt your lunch break they sent me back there.

We've done business with these people for almost 50 years and always got fair prices. But these past few years they've turned into straight crooks. Better off to haul your steel to Schnitzer in Bend. They always give us 2 to 3 times the amount that Swift does any more.

I had the same experience as Chad did. I assume its with the same guy. I had my dual axle trailer with a riding lwn mower on it with other pieces. Well after he had dropped the weight of the magnet onto my trailer trying to get the mower off not once not twice but 4 times with no success except for bending an axle and me having to manually lift and roll this smashed riding lawn mower off of my trailer by myself because he didnt wanna change out the magnet for the grapple he swung the machine 180°and continued toload the crusher ignoring me at this point to where i had to unload a garage door and multiple large object off my trailer and out of my truck by hand all the while he giving me half the price for my aluminum.

Great place to go pick for rusty stuff! Huge piles, but of course you can really only go around edges. Lady in office, and guy weighing stuff very nice. I go there every year when we are in town and always find stuff for my store.

A little tricky to find off on country roads but this place will knock your socks off. Acres upon acres of metal salvage from auto to marine to industrial machinery. This is a pickers dream. Everything is for sale and there are endless materials to look through. Very fun to spend an hour or two looking through their materials. Owners and front desk are very friendly and helpful.

I highly recommend taking the half hour drive to Schnitzer in bend you'll get more honest weight and better prices I wouldn't be saying this if I didn't learn it the hard way.

Swift and McCormick is a massive scrap yard where they buy and sell industrial materials. Mostly metals such a steel aluminum stainless copper Brass Etc. There is also Automotive Marine and assorted components throughout. There is also a lot of industrial wreckage and mountains of Steel with every kind of part you can think of mixed in. If you are into welding fabrication sculpture, you name it this is definitely worth a walkthrough. You won't find cheaper prices on raw materials then Swift and McCormick. You can spend a half-day easily walking through this place admiring just how much material is here. Towards the back they recycle and bundle material to sell to their suppliers for recycling. It is truly a scavengers dream.
