So I bring my part back after paying $200 cash they didn't want to take it back asked me if I plug it unlike O'Reilly's which just accepts the receipt because if I did they wouldn't take it back even though it has a lifetime warranty and I paid cash and then they wouldn't give me the cash back they're putting it on a card so I have to wait forever to get the money back that I severely need I would definitely choose O'Reilly's over NAPA Scappoose or St Helens they kind of brush off questions they don't have answers normal weird small town responses which is barely anything I told them I was like so you guys could take my money quick but you guys can't give me back the money I spent quick and then I said how long will the money be on the card I don't know I go to the bank and it's going to take 3 days so much for paying cash

Well guess what? Based on other recent reviews, I'm not the only one to have a bad customer service experience at this store. (other Napa's have been much better) Not sure if they guys are just punching the clock until retirement or what, but I brought in a battery I had purchased there not that long ago, and I wanted it tested as I'm quite sure there is an issue with the battery. The big guy was ok, he tried to help, but the older guy who might be the manager wasn't much help at all. I literally had to play 20 questions to get any information out of these guys, because they'd rather lecture the customer about how since Covid no one prorates a battery that has to be returned. (not true) They were not forthcoming with any information. Older guy even said I could go somewhere else, as if I didn't know that. Amazing. Napa is a $23 billion per year company, but if you listen to these guys they cant prorate a battery because they will lose money, LSS. Guess what again? I took my battery down highway 30 to the much friendlier guys at the other auto parts store, they put it on the tester, and because of its behavior they suspected it has a bad cell, which completely matches what I thought could've happened. So it's not me. I can communicate with nearly anyone just fine. It's just this Napa. Their catch phrase is supposed to be "Get Up & Go", but you may want to get up and go somewhere else. And don't buy your batteries at Napa.

This has to be one of the top 3 worst customer service experiences I have ever had. Not just bad but appalling. Also not an isolated incident, I live in a small community and have heard this over and over from numerous different people how bad the customer service is at this store. All of the mechanics that I know gladly drive to Portland or St. Helens just to avoid the Scappoose Napa. It is very obvious as soon as you walk through the door that this is an ongoing issue due to extremely poor management. The employees are an excellent indicator of this, they are not friendly, helpful or professional. They use foul language and ignore customers while the manager hides in back and does anything to avoid helping anyone. I would not suggest going into this location for any reason, there is no excuse for the deplorable behavior of the employees and management of this establishment!

Absolutely horrible customer service! I have been a customer at this store for many years but, it has consistently gone down hill over the last couple of years. In the last year it has become a poorly managed joke. The employees are less than friendly and make it very clear that they do not have the time, knowledge or care to deal with customers. Example: I had to return a leaking acetylene bottle that I had picked up there the day before. After putting my bottle in the service rack I found that the bottle was 3/4 full and after testing it, I found that the valve was leaking (extremely dangerous), so I returned the bottle to exchange it for another bottle that was not leaking. They told me to come back in a week to get the replacement because they only keep 1 bottle in stock at any given time. The next week I returned for my exchange but they had not noted it on the account nor marked the bottle, they put the leaking bottle back into their stock ( obviously not worried about safety), upon learning this, I had commented about that being very poor communication and planning on the managers part. So another week passed, I went to pick up the bottle, the manager confronted me about the return then became very upset and accused me of lying about the leaking bottle, he tried to get me to argue with him about it then threw a little fit, I was given the bottle and told never to return, it seemed rather odd to me that this guy would be so upset about the return of a faulty product. Follow up: So I found out later the same day that the cowardly little fellow that manages this store used my information from past purchases to find out who my employer is and contacted my employer in a petty attempt to get me fired from my job. He made up a ridiculous story about the “incident” completely fabricating a scenario including customers and employees that were not even in the store. After hearing the story, I realized that he was quite disgruntled due to being criticized about the lack of communication and planning and used the opportunity when I returned the following week to attempt to set up a scenario to “get back at me”, as stated by one of his other employees. I was not there on company business nor was it a company purchase so the only thing achieved by doing this is him showing that he is a blatant liar and incredibly incapable at doing the job that he was hired for. It is unfortunate for anyone that has to deal with this sad little person. Napa corporate has been notified of this absolutely shameful behavior happening under their noses and likely will not do anything about it. Take it for what it’s worth, there are many better options than having to deal with this nonsense!

Had to stop for an emergency oil refill while on a business trip (cap came off after last change apparently). I knew my oil type, and had it in stock in several sizes... They were able to look up the part and even had in stock; I was super impressed it was on hand. Was just going to have them look up the part for me, and order it to the store back home. They even let me barrow a funnel, since I was at the top of my limit with the cap, and my plan was just to make one out of a paper cup otherwise. The gentleman who helped was very professional and polite, and proficient at as his job. But everyone there was, including the other customer. Very pleased. 10/10 would shop there again.

On the way home I realized my oil level was extremely low. The person there was extremely helpful. He took time to make sure I had exactly the right oil, provided me with a funnel, came out and unscrewed the oil cap when he saw I was having trouble and even provided towels to wipe my hands. Excellent customer service - something that is difficult to find these days. :) Highly recommend!

They always have everything I need and help me if I'm looking for something. I use alot of automotive stuff for weird stuff at work so I never have part numbers and we always manage to figure something out.

I have gone to this store for three years now for small tools every now and then. I must say for three years I don’t think the culture at this location is very customer friendly. No says hello when you walk in, and it seems like as a customer I am a burden instead of a sale!!! The final straw for me was a certain parking spot. When the management team cares more about parking spots then customer service I will take my business elsewhere, maybe that’s what they want!!!

Had everything I needed; oil, antifreeze, and wiper fluid. I was in, out, and my car felt,"anew," in less than 5 minutes! Cheaper, and faster, than those oil change places!

For Scappoose 5*. Some larger NAPAs have been somewhat better, but it'd still be 4* even if a larger store was in proximity.

I bought an alternator today. When I ordered it, I was quoted one price, only to be surprised by a $50 core charge. I understand a refundable core charge, but it was not cool AT ALL to not mention that when I ordered it. I don't think I will order from them again.

Very helpful. And they took the time to actually look up all the information on the items that I needed without me even having to ask them too. I wasn't able to bring home all of my purchases. So they let me keep some items overnight. Awesome staff!

Walked into the store recently with my boss just to pick up our essentials and to return some China made torx drivers that were supposed to be as good of quality as a torx driver that has lasted 10 years now in the shop up until recently.. as my boss is returning the Chinese junk that broke on the first attempt to loosen a bolt with not one but both drivers broken, an employee “Cris” that has been extremely rude every time for absolutely no reason decided he wanted to print out a paper stating what tools are and are not made in America still and had another employee give it to my boss and so my boss handed it back to Cris, well Cris very rudely said there’s the door you can leave.

Great team of knowledgeable employees. They have a code scanner, they checked my cars code for free. It was just an O2 sensor and safe to keep driving. Saved me a macanic diagnostic fee. If they don't carry it, they can order it.

I bought 3 rebuilt alternators all were bad. When I complained the cashier laughed at me. I ordered a real alternator it didn't come in and they forgot to tell me. $5000.00 wouldn't make up for the trouble I dealt with. O'Reilys took care of me no problem.

This is by far the worst napa I've ever done busines with. I just wanted a rebuild kit for a quadrajet 4 barrel Rochester . better off calling orielys down the road. They know whats going on. Never calling or going to them again ......
