If a business has its hours posted, the employees of said business should not kick people out the business before it’s closed. Normally I wouldn’t care enough to complain but here it is in between Christmas and New Years and this kid tells me it’s time to close up and that I can’t put anymore in the machine, I asked if i could get to $10 cause I was so close and I’m not slow at it but he said no and wanted to have an attitude and be a punk about it. I complied and as I’m grabbing my cash out of the machine I look at my phone it’s 5:56 as I’m walking out the door. Funny thing was there was still a customer he was helping do a manual count inside standing there. He was rude about it, and yeah I will admit I got an attitude and flipped him off as he was locking the door but that wasn’t till after I saw the time. Even if you don’t celebrate this time of year Maybe have just a tiny bit of compassion for people who are struggling and just trying to get enough money for a pack of smokes. I get they can run their business however they want to but a little respect goes a long ways. Sucks they are the only place that takes cans in OC.

Easy to back up to and drop off my many bags. Place is always busy but the customer service is always there to help and pleasant to me.

They've changed the return amounts an when you have to drive 15miles to the next town over just to return them and they cut return from $60 to $35 and it cost $12bucks for gas thats just kinda crappy, I mean why the low limits when your a major bottle return place.... and at $1 bag fees for dropping its even less back.

Needs cleaned up floors , & machines sticky! We drink 90% of our drinks bottled. They need to up the bags to 20 bags a quarter and allow us to get our money back more often. I mean it’s our money we pay to buy the drinks to begin with!

This place needs to do a better job policing the customers around here when you have open hours. If one more patron is too lazy or incompetent to open their own app and pushes past me out to shove their bags in after I scanned my code for entry, I’M STUFFING THEM THROUGH THE BAG RETURN SO YOU HAVE TO DEAL WITH THEM IN PERSON. Seriously, enforce the rules for those of us who follow them. It demoralizing and exhausting.

The workers were really good that they're always trying to help. It almost seems like they're happier if you do have something for them to do.. All the people are there trying to do the same thing you are so everyone seems to be helpful to each other. It's fairly easy to do yourself or they can count them for you on site or the third option is to purchase green bags and labels and you just fill up the bag. Label on it scan it and drop it off I think you're allowed two bags a day and they put the money directly on a card they give you.

As a disabled veteran, I strenuosly object to their arbitrary and unsupported policies regarding the utilization of their sorting carts for bottles and cans. Today, I went to a different location, and the customer service was excellent. The Oregon City location is a bit more challenging to navigate with a vehicle, but the service more than makes up for it.

We dropped off 6 bags of cans. All labeled and tied off and only got paid for 1 bag! What happened to the other 5? That is stealing. Customer service was unwilling to help. Cameras can show us putting 6 bags in but they refuse! Don't trust them! Do it manually and watch them.

Employees are always so nice. Self service is so easy. And green bag drop off hits your account so fast!

They now have a conveyor belt that you just dropped all your cans on and it counts them in seconds. There's never a line because it goes so fast. I will never go to another bottle drop!

As much as I don't enjoy returning bottles at a location other than where I bought them in the first place, Oregon City Bottle Drop is much better than when it opened: machines are faster, and don't seem to break down as much. Today, 176 returns, took about 7 minutes. They also are toying with a camera-based scanner, but the two times I used it, they were off by two or more ( i precounted each load, twice ). Since that counter should be regulated like weight or liquids, it seems not quite ready for "just trust me" status. The staff: pleasant.

Most of the time is a decent experience, in and out fairly quickly. But what the hell is up with not being able to use the carts to get cans from my car. Bags of cans, no biggie. But I've been having to bring in smaller bags of BOTTLES. I tried to do it their way and bring in a whole 12 bottles at a time and ended up falling in the parking lot because those bags were more awkward. This policy needs to change

I've been an Oregon resident for a couple months now and I've never been treated so poorly like I was today at the bottle drop. I have Wisconsin license plates still and a rude employee refuse to let me use the dottle drop and kept badgering me to see my id and said he'd call 911 on me. I've been to this bottle drop multiple times with no issues. As I put my cans back in my car I went back in to ask for his name and he said he didn't need to give me that. Since he didn't tell me his name I was there on 10/28/2024 at 10:00am. I will never use this bottle drop again.

The bottle drop is sort of hidden on the backside of the building. Once you find it, it's not too bad. But the process is slow because there are only a few drop machines, and each bottle or can has to be inserted individually. I get why, but it's still annoying.

The machines are pretty good. The manager is a wannabe tyrant that reminds me of a less successful version of an engineer I know. Remember $35 a day. Well have fun with that. I wish I could just put my cans in the recycling and not have to deal with these kind of people. Floor was clean.

Most of the staff is great, few who are super rude. The machines are dirty a lot so cans they accept sometimes have to be tan 3 or 4 times before they read. If it’s after 10am is packed. Need more machines. Homeless have started taking over the parking lot

The staff is very nice considering what they have to put up with all day. It is a thankless job, so be nice. They've done a good job fixing issues when they come up. At least the scanners work now. BUT, only 4 stars because the GREEN BAGS SUCK. WE ALL HATE THE GREEN BAG REQUIREMENT. It would be nice if we could use regular white or black bags and put our stickers on them. EVERYONE WILL APPRECIATE THAT.

For the love of god.. open another location!! The population of Oregon City far exceeds what this one location can handle.. I've been there at all different times/days of the week and it's always been absolutely overwhelmed.. hours spent standing in line every time I've ever been there!

I love bringing my cans/bottles to this BottleDrop. The staff is always awesome and in a good mood, which is not always the case at these BottleDrops😁 They're usually is not a very big line and I can always get a cart to put my cans in. They have five regular stations and 1 express station. If the machines do not take your cans or bottles you take them to the front and they hand count them for you. There is a limit of $35 per person per day. Be sure to come early enough as they close the hand-counting station a little bit before the store closes. I will definitely be coming back and recommending this place to others😁 Thank you Oregon City BottleDrop, you're the best!!

Why are the drop doors closed before 9pm?? It says 6am to 10pm. Its 8:53. Do the employees just choose when they want to be open?

Very short staffed which isn’t their fault. Pretty busy and the guy at the front desk said they process 2000-2500 bags a day in the summer. That being said, nowhere to return the bags and I was there 2x’s today.

Clean and well kept, the employees were helpful and the bottle machines didn't jamb up at all. It can get crowded, which sucks but that's to be expected when there's one redemption center and everyone has to go there to make returns. Smells about like you'd expect a bottle return center to see l smell. Still, things went smoothly.

I just signed up today. the place was overcrowded and there was only one employee to help everyone. the bottle drop area was full and people were leaving their bags inside and walking off. the poor gal was having issues with her machine. they really need a better way. and she should have had someone else there not just her by herself. that was not fair to her. I then went back and tried to drop off my bags at 7pm and the door where you drop off the bags was crammed full, and I Couldn't leave mine now i have to find another spot to drop off. they need to have more than one person working its that busy.

There was a little bit of a line so we had to wait outside for a few minutes, but it did move surprisingly fast, and I love that they have the new super fast machines in there, someone’s inside it literally only took about five minutes to cash in our cans, the place was clean and the attendance working we’re very friendly.

You can do it all this busy Bottle Drop location. They have been extremely helpful staff so don't be afraid to ask questions. You can sign up for your account get your free trash bags and your cards you can also print out your voucher and turn it in for cash as well as drop off your bottles all at this location. It's about a a 15 to 20-minute drive both ways to get to this location but I find it worth it because of the experience as opposed to some of the other ones I've been to. As far as a bottle return and bottle drop go, this is a pretty good place compared to a few others that I’ve visited (namely in Portland). Usually the staff is somewhat friendly/helpful and the machines are maintained well. Every once in awhile there will be someone working that’s a bit rude, especially about letting people use the restroom (probably due to drug activity in the past). But over all I recommend it as an at least alright, semi clean and working place to return your bottles.

Had to wait in line to feed in my returns, but once got to the machine, it was incredibly fast compared to feeding them in one at a time and waiting before could put in another one at the grocery store. Attendants were helpful, counted the cans/bottles that the machines wouldn't accept. No problem getting my cash. Will use instead of super slow grocery return machines. Wish they were open later is my only complaint.
