I had a very disappointing experience here and won't be returning. The owner came out yelling and speaking to me in a way that I felt was completely unprofessional. No customer should expect to be treated like that, especially over a situation that could have been handled with a calm conversation.
From what I observed, his daughter works with him, and the dynamic between them seemed to create tension that spilled over into how customers were treated. Whether that's the case or not, the atmosphere was uncomfortable, and it didn't feel like a business that values respectful customer service.
In a small town, businesses rely heavily on their reputation and word of mouth. Treating customers with anger instead of respect is a quick way to lose people's trust. I understand that everyone has stressful days, but professionalism matters, especially when you're representing your business.
I'm sharing my experience to help others know what to expect. I hope this business takes customer feedback seriously and works on improving how customers are treated, because based on my experience, I can't recommend it.
Completely an upgrade over the two previous owners, in my opinion.
James and the rest are helpful and making workflow process safe and more efficient. Although I have seen bright bare go as number 2, I didn't have enough to make a difference of 10 cents a pound.
I enjoy doing business with them in every department.
So let me start off saying they are quick and efficient and getting weighed and getting you parked so you can empty it. But, and this is a big BUTT when I called ahead and asked the manager to give me a specific price for a specific material he was hesitant to do so, and when I asked for a second specific materials Price he flat out told me "No, I don't do that" ....
I live an hour and 15 minutes from the nearest scrap yard in any direction north west south or east. So of course I'm going to call all four and and find out the best price but if you're not going to give me an idea of what I'm about to drive an hour and 20 minutes for.... I'm sorry but you lost my business. The managers name is James and I'm sorry James but if I called the grocery store and said hey how much is your milk and then I called the next town over and said hey how much is your milk I'm pretty sure they would tell me the price. So either he's not knowledgeable enough to know what the prices are for the day or he just doesn't give a rat's behind on customer service. Because I guarantee he is not sending in his scrap pile until he gets the best price!!!!
