I took a bunch up including junk Air Conditioners for junk and I should have got more money that I did
I feel that they took advantage of me because I am a women
I give this place no stars bc the guy in the inside that does the cans brass etc ALWAYS ALWAYS is so rude and hateful and ALWAYS ALWAYS cheats us out of our money I have ask to file a complaint on him and the manager told me I wasn't allowed to do that and that she hasn't got any complaints on him that is the biggest lie I ever heard bc everyone i no that goes there he is rude to and throws everything around I had stuff separated he threw it all together
Depending on what I have, you can grab ice cream but they can answer any questions. You may have what they can take or what they can’t take if you need a license for something I’ll tell you but they use a grabber to get like all the scrap off depending on what you’re taking to the scrap yard and they wait to see how much you can get for time. I know today it was 110 a ton but I’m not sure what it is other days, but it varies, depending on how it fluctuates basically but other than that, they can tell you what they can or what they can’t take and they’re real nice.
I was paid .35 a pound for my scrap brass most of it was brass fittings and valves that I spent hours cleaning and grading I had red brass separated from yellow as I did this for a living for years. The worker poured all the brass into one bucket and weighed it as 39 lbs. for good yellow and red brass alike I was paid .35 cents a pound. This was after they tore the sides off my 18’ trailer when he slung the big bucket knocking most of the scrap metal off along with the sides of the trailer even the conduit holding the wiring to my trailer lights. Then was paid 130. Ton for mostly heavy steel trailer house axels and other scrap from welding shop. The same guy from out in the yard came in to weigh me in and gave me the thumbs up before my truck even stoped going in. I’m done with those criminals at Crandells. I’m 71 and make my living hauling scrap and when they turn off my electric today it will be because I was cheated out of my resources for survival by Crandells employees. I’m sure they could care less if I have lights or food for that matter they are those who need to be in vages
So I've done a lot of business here and what stands out the most is the two guys that help unload, move, and weigh your scrap. They not only help and make the whole process easier but they go out of their way to do so. They are friendly and make it a pleasant pain free experience. Thank you to both of you.
Well they do pay half the prices everybody else there is one thing I have to complain about I can't think of the gentleman's name but he is very very rude sometimes I know they deal with a lot of people that come in there and stuff like that and people don't have their stuff organized but you know there's no sense to take you down on everybody else and you know it is it is good always to show a positive attitude every time you're at work and if you have problems don't take it out on your the people that bring materials in because if you do then then people may never come back but all in all not a not a bad place
I went to scrap and they are paying half the price as everyone else. So dont go here bc they will cheat you out of money. I would give a 0 if i could. I would never go here again
Great, friendly, people. Easy to do business with, even when you're just looking to get rid of a few things that have been laying around and getting in the way (scrap metal). Would have no problem stopping by here again.
Be careful driving behind their work trucks on the interstate. My pregnant wife was behind their truck when something flew out of it and hit her windshield, thankfully she was OK. She got their info, but they were very rude and refused to pay for it..doesn't seem very honest to me!
